Compared to the language of words, the language of images is more suitable for presenting audiences with concrete sensory experiences. The cinematic body is associated with the outside world in the form of“embodiment”and forms an intimate relationship with the viewer's body through the sensual expression of images.Since the estab⁃lishment of the Sensory Ethnography Lab(SEL)at Harvard University in 2006,a number of works on sensory experi⁃ences have been released,in which the“image body sense”prompts the audience to“intervene”with their own sen⁃sory perceptions in the film body. The SEL works, for example, address the question of“how to highlight the sense of the image body”,starting with the object and the state of movement, respectively. The SEL sensory ethnographic im⁃ages will be“textured”or“alienated”after the selection of real things, followed by the use of“possession”or ad⁃justment of the overall shape of the camera movement, giving the images the“body sense”of perceiving external ob⁃jects and transmitting temperature,so as to awaken the senses of the image itself, and ultimately make the audience obtain a comprehensive view through the the“cinematic body”provides the audience with a comprehensive and real⁃istic sensory experience.
