从留美学生群体的历史演进看教育全球化

摘要 赴美留学生的数量在不同阶段因为诸多因素的影响而出现一定的波动,但始终持续不断,经历了洋务运动时期的留美幼童、民国初期的庚款留学、抗战胜利的留美和改革开放之后的赴美留学四次高潮。当今社会,高等教育国际市场蓬勃发展,而随着大变革时代到来,美国正在逐渐失去作为中国学生留学首选地的优势,中国的教育全球化和人才国际化进程呈现出新的发展方向。在教育国际化的背景下,中国在鼓励出国留学同时,还要注重将其他国家优秀人才引入国内,吸引海外留学人才回国发展,努力扭转教育服务逆差。中国在国际教育市场的交流合作中需主动展示自身文化传统和文化价值,提升教育国际影响力,充分展示中国国际教育市场发展的吸引力。 The number of students studying in the United States has fluctuated in different stages for various reasons,but has remained continuous in general.It has peaked in the Self-strengthening Movement when children were sent to the U.S.,in the early stage of the Republic of China in Boxer Indemnity,after the victory of the War of Resistance,and after the Reform and Opening-up.Nowadays,the international market for higher education has been thriving,and the advantages of studying in the U.S.have been fading in the era of great revolution.China’s policies in the globalization of education and talents also aim at a new direction.To reverse the deficit in education,we still encourage studying overseas,at the same time,we attract talents in other countries to study in China and welcome overseas students to pursue their careers back.In the communication and cooperation of the international educational market,China needs to take the initiative to demonstrate its cultural traditions and values,and enhance its international influence in education to increase the competitiveness.
