摘要
晚清黔籍外交官是贵州近代较早“睁眼看世界”的人物群体,处于中国外交向近现代过渡之际,其所作所为起着承上启下的作用。他们的外交活动映射了中国与西方的碰撞。该群体是晚清云贵川等西南地区外交官群体的唯一样本。这一群体的文章、诗词、译著等使外文学作品记载了诸多西方社会、科技、文化等方面的信息,对晚清社会的启蒙与变革产生了直接或间接的推动作用。此群体以驻日公使黎庶昌为核心,以晚清贵州遵义府人士为主体。群体成员间关系密切,互动频繁,相互影响与成就。群体成员在外交活动中维护了民族利益,传承了中华文化,推动了中外文化交流。
Diplomats from Guizhou Province were a group of figures who opened their eyes to see the world early in Guizhou.At the time of the transition,their actions played a connecting role.Their diplomatic activities reflected the collision between China and the West.This group is the only sample of diplomats in Southwest China in the late Qing Dynasty.The articles,poems and translations of this group recorded a lot of information about western society,science,technology and culture,which directly or indirectly promoted the enlightenment and reformof the society in the late Qing Dynasty.At that time,the diplomatic group fromGuizhou took Li Shuchang,ambassador to Japan,as the leading character and Zunyi people as the main body.Group members had close relations,frequent interaction,mutual influence and achievements.Members of the group had safeguarded national interests,inherited Chinese culture and promoted cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in diplomatic activities.
