摘要
在PISA2018年的ICT熟悉度测试中,ICT参与度作为一项重要变量被测查。它包括四个指标:兴趣、数字胜任力、使用自主性和社会性交互。本研究使用中国香港、韩国、日本三个亚洲地区中学生的调查数据,运用平均数差异的显著性检验和回归分析方法,探究ICT参与度的性别差异与影响因素。结果表明,虽然男女生对信息与通信技术的兴趣没有显著差异,但男生的使用自主性和数字胜任力得分高于女生;同时,在社会交往中,男生比女生更经常性地讨论数字技术话题。这种性别差异不仅存在于儒家文化圈中,还存在于性别平等指数较高的国家或地区中。更进一步的分析显示,个体使用数字技术的程度显著影响其在信息技术上的参与度,这解释了一定程度上的数字性别鸿沟。应鼓励女生付出更多的时间探索数字设备,为她们营造交流讨论数字技术的社会氛围,促进女生成长为健康积极的数字公民。
ICT engagement was measured as an important variable in the PISA 2018 ICT familiarity questionnaire.It includes four indicators:ICT interest,perceived ICT competence,perceived autonomy of ICT use,and ICT as a topic in social interaction.This study investigates the gender gap in ICT engagement among the secondary school girls in the three East Asian societies of China's Hong Kong,Korea,and Japan.The results showed that although there was no significant difference between male and female students'interest in ICT,male students scored higher than female students in autonomy of ICT use and competence,and male students discussed digital technology topics more regularly than female students in social interactions.This gender difference exists not only in Confucian cultural circles,but also in countries(regions)with higher gender equality indices.Further analysis shows that students'ICT engagement is strongly influenced by their ICT use,which explains a certain degree of the digital gender divide.Therefore,girls should be encouraged to spend more time to explore digital devices and society should create a social atmosphere for them to communicate and discuss digital technology,so that girls can grow into healthy and active digital citizens.
