摘要
阿尔多·李奥帕德是一位博学的农学家、深邃的思想家和杰出的文学家,其代表作《沙郡年记》正是其多重身份的最好诠释。该书是一本有关动植物生态学与自然环境史变迁的科普读物、关乎土地伦理的哲学著述,更是一部文情并茂、妙趣盎然的生态文学佳作。李奥帕德基于对沙郡日常的细心观察与深度思考,通过人与自身、人与大地、文学与科学、诗与思等多元对话,营造出一种“复调”的、多层次叠加交融的审美意境,由此生发出土地伦理与大地美学,主张超越人类审美偏向去发现自然美,用像山一样的共同体思维审视自然万物、人类自身及其相互关系。正因为如此,该书被誉为整体主义伦理学和生态文学发展进程中的一个重要里程碑。
Aldo Leopold is well known as a learned agronomist and thinker,and a great writer,which is well reflected in his masterpiece A Sand County Almanac,a milestone in ethics and eco-literature.This classic,a collection of essays,is a science reader of ecology,a book of philosophy and excellent nature writing of expressive language,poetic sentiment and aesthetic implications.Based upon his life in the Sand County and his close observations,Leopold builds an artistic and poetic atmosphere by presenting the reader with vast and vivid pictures of dialogues between the writer and himself,man and the land,science and literature,and literature and philosophy.Hence Leopold’s Land Ethic and Land Aesthetics,which both advocate that we should discard biases so as to find true beauty of nature and help construct and maintain community of man and nature,represent a significant landmark in the development of holistic ethics and eco-literature.
