In the construction industry,BIM is rapidly emerging as a technology-driven intelligent construction tool.From its original simplified model to the present comprehensive platform that combines many advanced technologies,the technological evolution of BIM has reshaped the traditional construction process.This paper will take a closer look at this evolution and explain in detail how BIM has transformed from a basic 3D design tool to an intelligent construction system that integrates virtual reality,robotic technology,and artificial intelligence.Furthermore,this paper will also explore how BIM is shaping the future direction of modern architecture,and look forward to its continued application trend and potential value in the field of architecture from project design to construction,to maintenance and operation.
