Research Progress in Sugarcane Genetic Engineering: Exploring Cutting-Edge Breakthroughs in Transformation and CRISPR Technology

摘要 甘蔗(Saccharum officinarum)是世界上最重要的经济作物之一,作为原料生产了全世界80%以上的食糖和40%左右的酒精。传统育种方法在改良甘蔗品种方面效率太低,而转基因和CRISPR等分子技术为甘蔗改良提供新途径。本文总结了甘蔗基因工程进展,包括提高甘蔗的遗传转化效率和提高CRISPR编辑精确性,强调了改进基因技术对甘蔗品种改良的关键性,该技术可为未来农业和食品工业带来希望。 Sugarcane(Saccharum officinarum)is one of the world′s most important cash crops, responsible for producing over 80% of the world′s sugar and approximately 40% of the world′s alcohol. Traditional breeding methods for improving sugarcane varieties have proven to be inefficient and time-consuming. The emergence of molecular techniques such as genetic engineering and CRISPR has provided new avenues for sugarcane improvement. This article summarizes the recent advancements in sugarcane genetic engineering, including efforts to enhance the genetic transformation efficiency of sugarcane and improve the precision of CRISPR-based genome editing. It underscores the critical role of refining genetic technologies in the improvement of sugarcane varieties, this technology can bring hope for the future of agriculture and the food industry.
