摘要
《世说新语》作为魏晋南北朝时期的一部志人小说,塑造的人物形象地反映了其时代风度中的“雅”意蕴。人物在言行举止和渊博的儒学知识方面体现了魏晋时代的儒雅之风,在忠正刚直的性格和清新绝俗的玄谈方面体现了魏晋时代的清雅之风,在重大关头的镇静自若和淡然处之方面体现了魏晋时代的闲雅之风。儒雅、清雅和闲雅的性格气质形成的鲜明突出的“雅”意蕴,成为魏晋时代气象的重要组成部分。
Shi Shuo Xin Yu,which is a kind of novle that recountes anecdotes and mannerisms of characters in the Wei-Jin and North-South dynasties,reflects the“elegant”meaning of social trends for the people at the times,like the Confucian elegance in their speech,behavior and profound knowledge of Confucianism,the delicate elegance in their loyal and upright character and in their refi ned and lofty talks;and the leisure elegance in their calm and composed conduct at critical moments.The distinctive and prominent meaning of“elegance”hidden in the characters’temperament of Confucianism-like,loftiness and leisure has become an important part of the meteorology of the Wei-Jin era.
