Taking 29 prefecture-level cities in the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration from 2011 to 2021 as the research object, the evaluation index system of urban resilience was constructed from five dimensions:economic resilience, social resilience, ecological resilience, infrastructure resilience and institutional resilience. The combined weighting-TOPSIS method was used to evaluate the urban resilience level of the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration, and the obstacle factors affecting the development of urban resilience were studied. The findings are as follows:(1)The overall urban resilience of the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration has shown an upward trend, and there are differences in the level of resilience development among cities, but the gap is narrowing year by year.(2) Resilience levels differ significantly across the five dimensions, with ecological resilience ranking highest, followed by infrastructure resilience, economic resilience, social resilience, and institutional resilience.(3)Spatially,the level of urban resilience in the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration is characterized by a core centered around Zhengzhou, with higher resilience levels in the northwest and lower resilience levels in the southeast.(4)The main factors that hinder the level of urban resilience in the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration are economic resilience and social resilience, and the obstacle degree has a gradually increasing trend.
