摘要
本文基于口语语料,探讨句末语气词“呗”的核心语义功能,并尝试分析其功能形成的过程。通过观察我们发现,语气词“呗”可以拉低说话人的态度,具体表现为降低认可、降低预期和降低评估,我们把这种功能归纳为“降量表达功能”,这种降量表达功能既可以作用于命题层面,也可以作用于话语表达层面。“呗”字句降量表达功能的浮现受负面态度的语境影响,“呗”负面语境关联的常规化与“呗”降量表达功能的规约化是一脉相承的。此外,“呗”字句态度表达的多样性也与所在话语的分布和功能有关。
Based on spoken Chinese data,this article discusses the core semantic function of the modal particle bei(呗),and tries to analyze the causes of its function.Through observation,we find that the modal word bei has the function of lowering the speaker's attitude,which is embodied in reducing recognition,expectation and evaluation.This then can be summarized as the function of degraded expression.It is used not only at the propositional level,but also at the discourse expression level.The emergence of the degrading function of bei sentences is affected by the context of negative attitudes.The conventionalization of degrading function of bei is in step with the correlative routinization of negative contexts.The diversity of attitude expression in bei sentences is related to the distribution and function of the discourse.
