摘要
当今时代互联网飞速发展,网络信息资源急剧增加 ,对网络数字资源的组织与管理成为重要问题。解决该问题的基础是要有一套通用、合理、规范的著录格式。元数据———网络信息资源合理化、标准化的著录格式应运而生。文章介绍、分析了元数据产生的原因、概念内涵、DC元数据 ,并全面阐述了元数据在数字化图书馆中的应用。
Internet is rapidly developing nowadays, and net information resources increase greatly too, so organization and management of net digital resources have become a critical problem. The solution to the problem is to formulate a series of adaptable, reasonable, and standard catalogue format. Metadata -- a kind of catalogue format, which has a lot of merits are coming into being. This article introduces and analyzes the causes, the connotation of its definition, the metadata, and states thoroughly the application of DC metadata in digital libraries.
