The Effects of Zinc and Selenium on Calcification of the Bone

摘要 本文报告了微量元素锌、硒能增强胚鸡肢体骨(胚骨或股骨)~3H-TdR(胸腺嘧啶)参入,增加碱性磷酸酶活性并提高骨中含钙量,尤其锌能加速胚鸡骨的钙化和化骨作用。 In previous experimental studies we noticed that both zinc and selenium could accelerate and promote growth and development of embryo chick bones. In order to ascertain the effects of zinc and selenium on calcification and their possible influences on ossification, in this experimental study, we observed the effects both of zinc and selenium on 3H-TdR incorporation, phosphatase activity and calcium content of embryo chick bones. White Legh hens' fertilized eggs were incubated in thermostat (37℃)for 7 days, then divided into three groups:con-trol group(injected 0.02ml physiological saline in yolk sac), Se group(injected 0.02ml 5 ppm Se in yolk sac),and Zn group(injected 0.02ml 20 ppm Zn in yolk sac), then continue incubation up to 11,13,15,and 17 days. In the end of incubation embryo chick bones(femur of tibia) are taken out. After appropriate treatment 3H-TdR incorporation, phosphatase activity, and calcium content of embryo chick bones were measured separately with FJ 210 two path liquid scintillometer, Gemstar autobiochemical analyzer, and Shimadazu automic absorption flamespectrophotometer 6109s.Experimental results confirmed that selenium and zinc enhanced 3H-TdR incorporation into bones of embryo chick limbs, increased their phosphatase activity, raised their calcium content.It is suggested that selenium, especially zinc could accelerate the promotion of calcification
