摘要
流利性和复杂度是二语习得中的重要指标,然而,鲜有研究涉及这两者之间的相互作用。该文以三十名英语专业学生为样本,就语言复杂性程度对其时间、语法和表达三个方面的流利性进行量化分析。研究结果显示,当语言复杂性程度升高时,流利性则会下降。因此,在进行英语教学时,要注重选择能够被学生理解的教材,也要在保证定时定量的理解性的输入以帮助英语学习者提高口语流利度并最终习得这门语言。
Fluency and complexity are important indicators in second language learning, but few researches delve into their reci-procities. This study investigates the effect of linguistic complexity on 30 EFL learners'fluency in story retelling in respects of tem-poral fluency, linguistic fluency and performance fluency. Simply put, students'oral fluency declines when linguistic complexity increases. Thus great attentions should be paid to the choosing of listening materials. An understandable listening material should be preferred. Also, a quantitative and regular training should not be neglected since comprehensible input is necessary for the im-provement of one's fluency as well as the acquisition of English as a whole.
