摘要
高职英语阅读课程以培养学生使用英语获取信息的能力为目标,具有很强的实践性。而高职学生英语语言能力与跨文化意识都相对薄弱,教学过程往往会注重语言知识和阅读能力方面的培养而忽略了文化知识的传授,使中西文化差异成为阅读的障碍,导致学生的整体阅读能力无法提高。有鉴于此,该文在跨文化交际的视角下提出在高职英语阅读课堂上实施文化导入、文化语境创建、文化对比和文化习得四元素相融合的教学方式,寓文化教学于语言教学之中,在传授学生阅读技巧的同时培养学生的跨文化交际意识与能力,以期能够促进高职英语阅读教学,并提高其内涵建设。
The higher vocational English reading courses which have strong practicalness are designed to cultivate the students to acquire information through reading in English. However, the students in higher vocational colleges are weak in both language competence and cultural consciousness. Teachers usually pay much attention on explaining linguistry and training reading abili-ty while ignoring the cultural knowledge imparting during teaching procedures. This makes the difference between Chinese cul-ture and western cultures become an obstacle which hinders the students’improving the reading ability. On account of this, the paper proposed a new teaching approach which is based on the perspective of cross-cultural communication. This teaching ap-proach integrates these four elements, as culture introduction, cultural context construction, culture comparison and culture ac-quisition with each other, and also combines the culture education with the language teaching in higher vocational English class-es. This teaching approach could not only improve the students’reading skills, but also cultivate their cross-cultural conscious-ness. The paper proposes this new teaching approach is used to improve both the higher vocational English teaching and the con-notation construction of it.
