南京政府命孙部屯垦青海之动机,主要是为了削弱冯玉祥势力以迅速收束察事,却并非蓄谋要挑起孙马大战。而孙殿英此际确实负有与两广合作及联共联杨虎城的双重反蒋图谋。"四马拒孙"之役之不可避免性及孙氏之必然失败,均与此大有关系。
The Republican Government ordered Sun's troops to march in Qinghai for a main purpose, that is, the weakenness of Feng Yuxiang's power so that put an end to the Chahae's people Allies of AntiJapan immediately, but without a plot to stir up war between Sun's troops and NingxiaQinghai Warlords. In the meantime, Sun Dianying had great ambitions to ally with GuangdongGuangxi Warlords and C.P.C. and Yang HuCheng to resist Chiang KaiShek. These facts had a great deal to do with the inevitable result of the battle of NingxiaQinghai warlords antiSun's troops and put a spoke in Sun's wheel.
