摘要
礼貌是各语言、各文化所共有的普遍现象,它在人际交往中发挥着重要的作用,它有助于建立、维持和巩固和谐的关系,促进社会交往。礼貌是一种可以观察得到的社会现象,但它只是一种表面现象,是特定文化价值在语言中的折射。因此,在人际交往中我们必须认识到礼貌的文化特性,只有深入到文化的深层中去,我们才能透过表象揭示出礼貌的本质特征,才能成功地实现交流。总的来说,应对礼貌原则及其文化特性进行研究以此提高人们的跨文化意识,促进跨文化交际的顺利进行。
Politeness is a universal phenomenon, for it can be observed in all languages and cultures. It plays an important role in human communication; it helps establish, maintain or consolidate harmonious interpersonal relationships and facilitate social interactions. Politeness as an observable phenomenon is something superficial and a reflection of specific cultural values in the language. Thus, while admitting the universality of politeness, we must also realize the cultural characteristics of politeness. It will help us to communicate with each other successfully by making reaches on the cultural factors and then find the essential characters of politeness. In all, we should learn more about politeness principle and its cultural characteristics and raise people’s consciousness on this issue so as to help people successfully in cross-cultural communication.
