摘要
纵观美国近一个半世纪来现实主义文学的发展,就难免会把目光投向重要的文学流派———自然主义,本文以其杰出代表德莱塞文学创作上的里程碑———《嘉莉妹妹》为范本解读自然主义,从而感受在以现代主义、后现代主义为文学创作主流的西方的今天,重读自然主义的必要性———现实的回归。
Taking a view of the development of American realis m in one and a half centuries, well surely come to the significant school of lit erature——Naturalism. Based on 'Sister Carrie', a milestone in Dreisers wri tings, which can be called an outstanding representative of Naturalism, the pape r will have an analysis and appreciation of Naturalism, Thus in the western writ ing world today, with modernism and post-modernism as its main stream, its ne cessary to turn back to Naturalism, which means a return to reality.
