摘要
《小说时报》是近代著名小说杂志 ,以刊载翻译小说为主是其主要特色 ,而短篇翻译小说又是重中之重。短篇翻译小说以其新颖的艺术形式 ,推动了中国小说的革新步伐 ,为传统型小说向现代型小说过渡奠定了基础。
Novel Times' was a famous modern novel magazine. Its main characteristics is to publish the translation of foreign novels and short stories, especially, a majority of space was devoted to publishing the translation of short stories. The freshly new style and artistic form of the translated short stories promote the renovation of Chinese novels and novelette, and furthermore, it helped develop the Chinese literary creation in general and establish the foundation that the creation of traditional novels transit smoothly to that of the modern novels.
