An overview on gold leaching process with such non-cyanide leaching reagents as chlorides, thiosulphate, bromineiodine reagent and lime sulfur is made in the present discussion, which describes the details of the leaching process, the classes of ores that is suitable for the process, the effectiveness of the process, and the measures of improving it. Suggestions are then made for future research and development of the noncyanide goldleaching reagents.
