摘要
本研究运用对比分析学习者语料的方法 ,回答两个问题 :( 1 )中国高水平英语学习者书面语中是否存在明显的口语化倾向 ;( 2 )口语化倾向能否随着英语水平的提高而有所弱化。本次研究涉及的语料是从某大学英语专业 1 4年级学生 472篇限时命题作文中随机抽出的 2 40篇作文。研究结果表明 ,中国高水平英语书面语同其他外语学习者的英语书面语一样 ,表现出较强的口语化倾向 ;但随着英语水平的提高 。
The study attempts to address two research questions by contrastive learner corpus analysis: (1) whether the English compositions of advanced Chinese EFL learners display oral style features and (2) whether these oral style features change along with L2 development. The corpus used for the study was 240 compositions randomly selected from 472 timed compositions across four grades with 60 from each grade. The results show that advanced Chinese EFL learners clearly employed a spoken type of discourse in their English writing as EFL learners from other countries do, and they moved from a more 'spoken' type of discourse to a more 'written' type of discourse as they progressed in L2 learning.
