摘要
中国正处在急剧的社会转型期,在此过程中,大学教师面对更高的发展要求和现实挑战。研究性大学中,教师的压力更为明显。本研究在七所研究性大学中发放了500多份问卷,结果显示,总的来看,男女大学教师在工作和生活上面对较大压力,最主要的压力源来自外在的职业回报和内在的职业发展与研究需要。研究还证明女教师在事业与生活的冲突、职业发展和性别障碍三个方面比男教师遇到更大的压力和挑战。
China is in the process of rapid social transformation. During this process, academics are facing higher needs of career development and more challenges. In research universities, stress problems are more serious than non-research universities. This study administers a survey among more than 500 academics. Data show that both male and female academics are experiencing higher levels of overall work and life stresses. The major stressors are external career reward and internal career development and research needs. The study also shows that women academics experience more stresses in stress factors of conflicts between work and family, lower career progress and gender barriers than their male counterparts.
