摘要 阐述语篇知识与大学英语写作的关系。根据Kaplan的调查研究,了解英语语篇思维模式的差异对指导英语写作教学非常必要。教师应从语篇的角度,根据学生的能力循序渐进,系统地加以指导和训练,在学习文化知识和大量阅读的同时,学习运用语篇知识去构建语篇,从而提高写作整体水平。 This article expounds the re lationship between discourse knowledge and teaching of College English writing.Accordingto Kaplan's research and survey,a good understanding of the differences in the modes of discourse thinking betweenEnglish and Chinese people helps English teachers to enhance their teaching of College English writing.In specific,English teachers,gearing their efforts to the capability of their students,should gradually and systemically guide and train their thinking from the aspect of English discourse,while students,by building up their cultural schematathrough sub-stantial reading,can learn how to apply discourse knowledgeto discourse con-struction;therefore,an increase of their writing ability can be expected.
