Objective To explore painless labor in the clinical application of obstetrics department under universal two-child policy. Methods A total of 531 primiparae who were hospitalized and delivered on January 1,2016 and December 31,2017 were randomly divided into the experimental group( 258) and the control group( 273). In the experimental group, epidural block analgesia and painless labor were used in the period of obvious labor pain, while in the control group, conventional delivery was used. The clinical effects of the two delivery methods were compared. Results Visual analogue scale( VAS) score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group after analgesia, and the difference was statistical y significant( P < 0. 05). The first stage of labor activity in the experimental group was shorter than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant( P < 0. 05). The cesarean section rate of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant( P < 0. 05). There was no significant difference in other indexes between the two groups( P >0. 05). Conclusions In clinical practice, parturient women choose epidural nerve block anesthesia for labor analgesia, which can shorten labor process time, reduce labor pain, reduce cesarean section rate, and is safe and reliable.
