摘要
当双语教育在美国等国陷入低谷之际,"传承语教育"为保护少数族裔的语言和文化竖起了一面新的旗帜。文章分析了传承语教育兴起的背景,总结了海外传承语教育研究的发展概况,并从传承语和传承语学习者的界定、传承语习得特征、传承语学习者的身份认同、传承语教学研究等方面评析了海外传承语教育研究的热点问题,最后对借鉴传承语教育研究成果,更好地推动汉语在海外的传承和传播提出了希望。
When bilingual education fell by the wayside in the United States,heritage language education was raised as a new flag for preserving the languages and cultures of minority groups.Shifting linguistic attention from bilingualism to the heritage language speakers' multicultural context is important for the advancement of our understanding of the language ability.This paper traces the genesis of heritage language education and research,and discusses their developing course in the world.The main issues that international researchers focus on and are reviewed in this article in the area of heritage language education include:the various definitions about the heritage language learners,the features of heritage language acquisition,their identity inclination,and the pedagogical research.In order to further the research on overseas Chinese education and promotion,this study examines all of these concerns with an aim to draw experience from the accomplishments achieved across the world.
