Objective:To study the clinical effect of TCM syndrome differentiation combined with western medicine in treatment of nephrotic syndrome. Methods:A total of 94 cases of patients with nephrotic syndrome were selected as research object in our hospital from April 2013 to April 2015. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, 47 cases in each group. Western medicine group was treated with western medicine, and the combination group was treated with the combination of western medicine and treatment of syndrome differentiation. The therapeutic effects, clinical indexes and adverse reactions were observed. Results:The total effective rate of combination group was 95.74% which was significantly higher than 82.98% of western medicine group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in urine protein, plasma protein and total cholesterol between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of urinary protein and plasma protein of the combination group were significantly better than those of the western medicine group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the level of total cholesterol between the two groups(P>0.05). The incidence of adverse reaction was 4.26% in the combination group which was significantly lower than 14.89% of the western medicine group(P<0.05). Conclusion:TCM syndrome differentiation combined with western medicine in the treatment of nephrotic syndrome has better effect and less adverse reactions, it is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
