Objective To stud y the data of distribution and variety of the cockroach population in Huangpu district.Methods Observation,drug stimulation and com paring the investigation results of 1980～1 985.Results The population density of Periplaneta fulginosa was 8 7 47% in 1980～1985 but 75 06% in 2001.The p op ulation density of blattella germanica was 3 51% in 1980～1985 but 24 94% in 2001.The population dens ity of periplaneta americana w as 9 02% in 1980～1985 but 0 in 2001.C o nclusionThere were remarkable changes bet ween the population density of co ckroaches in 1980～1985 and 2001.
