As a new function for the city, the recreational business district (RBD) has become an important part for the urban recreation system, offering tourism, leisure, entertainment and shopping experience to local and peripheral resident. After a comprehensive review of the research of urban RBD, this article selects Wuhan Jianghan Road commercial walking street as a case study, aiming at the characteristics of its development and the function. For the more, this article analyses the existing problems of Jianghan Road walking street as an urban RBD, and draws out the countermeasures.
