摘要
On the basis of a study of the Muggar Kangri Group-complex and its cover sediments in the central segment of the Bangong Co-Nujiang River suture zone, Tibet, it has been ascertained that the Shamuluo Formation (J3-K1s) consists of sediments of a relict sea basin overlying unconformably on the Muggar Kangri Group-complex. From above, the authors think that the central segment of the Bangong Co-Nujiang River suture zone closed in the Late Jurassic. This provides new evidence for the study of the evolutionary process of the Tethys Ocean.
