摘要
牛津大学在800多年的历史中,一直固守着探索普遍学问的办学宗旨和追求卓越的奋斗目标。牛津大学坚持大学的多职能性,把教学(人才培养)看作大学最重要的职能之一。它以培养全面发展的绅士为人才培养目标,并通过学院制、导师制、别具特色的专业设置、多样化的课程体系、丰富多彩的课外活动,促进人才培养目标的实现。
University of Oxford is the oldest university in U.K. During the past over 800 years, it has been sticking to its aim to seek universal learning. The university devotes itself to train gentlemen. To achieve this goal, it works out collegiate system, tutorial system, unique courses, diversified curricula as well as rich and colorful extra-curriculum activities.
