摘要
不同的语言各有其特点和形式,在词汇、语法、惯用法、表达方式等有相同之处,也有相异之处,所以翻译时就必须采用不同的手段灵活处理,其目的就是为了忠实地表达原作的思想内容和文体风格。英汉类比,在遣词造句等方面都存在着异同,然而,英语和汉语在追求表达的委婉等方面却是殊途同归,互不排斥,互不矛盾的。提高汉译英的质量固然需要充分顾及英语的个性特征,但也应该对其共性有所观察及认识。本文拟就汉译英中如何体现委婉表达的问题作一浅析。
Different language has its own characteristics and forms which have the general character and differences in the words, grammar, idiom and expression, so when doing translation, we should adopt the different and flexible method in order to faithfully express the original content and writing style. Although there are differences in words and sentences structure between the analogy of English and Chinese, they are common in seeking for the tactful expression. Not only the consideration of the individuality characteristics, but also the observation and realization of the general character are necessary in improving the translation quality. This paper briefly analyzes the problem on how to embody the tactful expression in translation.
