摘要
一、“声器关系”新认识。一直以来，我们在音乐艺术门类中的声乐与器乐的关系上，似乎不加怀疑地认同着一种传统看法而形成一种思维定势，即认为从历史发展角度看，乐器是歌唱的进化，乐器为歌唱伴奏，器乐即为声乐的发展，从属声乐。乐器后于歌唱，声为本，器为末。这种传统的看法可用一句话概括，即：“声本器末”。
In terras of the relationship between vocal music and instrumental, music as two categories in the music culture,we have all the times been recognizing.without any questioning,the traditional concept,or a fixed thought,that historically,instruments evolved from singing,and are-accompanying tools to singing, and therefore,instrumental music is growing out of vocal music,and is subordinate to vocal music. In struments came after singing,and so if vocal music is the basis,instrumental music is a later-comer. This traditional notion can be best summarized by one 'sentence, i.e. 'vocal music as the basis while instrumental music as latest'.Since 1980's,extensive exchange activities have been undertaken in all subjects of social sciences as a result of ideological liberation movements. In particular,the theory of cultural anthropology had immediate impact upon the development of Chinese national music theory. In the aspect of the 'vocal-in-strument relationship',Chinese music theorists,going beyond the traditional concept,put forward new notions,which are known as the theory of 'shared origin of both vocal and instrumental music'.This new theory for the 'vocal-instrument relationship' originated from experiences of cultural anthropology as well as field survey of ethnomusicolo gists. In his book An Illustrated History of Inventions From the Wheel to the Computer,Edward de Bono introduced the concept shared by Western scholars, that 'the earliest drum is no doubt the human body.' For the human body is,in fact,a musical instrument. Human being is not only the subject of music,but also the instrument of music. Therefore,Mr. Wu Guodong further explained in his monograph that 'this theory,according to which the earliest mode of human being's musical instrument is organs of his own body and instrumental music is what the human being makes by beating his own organs,solves the dispute in the theory of origin of music modes,on the question which comes first,vocal music and instrumental music. Since the art of singing,with human vocal cord as sound organ and human voice as medium,is one of the oldest forms of music for the human being,hence the conclusion that the art of beating,with man's hands,feet and torsos as sound -making organs and beating sound as medium,is also one of the oldest forms of music for the human being,is out of question. The oldest instrumental music and the oldest vocal music share the same nature and same origin,and therefore,the cause for the origin of music instruments and instrumental music is,accordingly,exactly the same as that for the origin of vocal music.In music culture, the relationship between vocal music and instrument music can not be described as 'vocal music as the basis while instrumental music as latest',but rather,as 'instrument is used to depict human voice while human voice is not imitating instrument,' vocal music and instrumental music are of the same origin,and interacting with each other.This reminds us not to ignore the counteraction dom inant in instruments and instrumental music.
