摘要
隐喻是语义变化的主要机制,是用具体熟悉的概念去建构抽象、无形的经验域的概念的手段。语义变化是隐喻在概念系统中跨范畴映射的结果,隐喻映射的来源是基本等级概念和意象图式。
Metaphor is the central mechamism that underlies semantic change. It is the means whereby more abstract and intangible areas of experience can be conceptualised in terms of the familiar and concrete. Semantic change is the result of metaphorical mapping across conceptual domains. The sources of mapping are basic-level conception and image schemas.
