Literature, as a part of ideology, reflecting the times, the society and the individual existence, is supposed to instruct correct values and outlook. By learning the course of English and American Literature, the students are expected to link local culture and alien cultures, spreading Chinese voice and telling Chinese stories well in intercultural communication. As an Oscar winner, the Animation Bao, presenting the daily life of a common overseas Chinese family, provides a case of how to combine the elements of course ideology and politics to tell Chinese stories well.
