The authors argue that these methods pay attention absolutely to differences in learning ability and learning speed, and may exacerbate the gap between top students and other ones. They point out that first, the core of individualized instruction is the concept of flexible teaching. That’s to say,teacher can use any method when ever they feel necessary. Second,individualized instruction does not mean to abandon teaching class as a whole. On the contrary. the latter can be an effective way of individuallied instruction. Thirdly. in individuallied instruction, teachers do not have to give up their control over learning speed .content. material .and so on.
