The study on the swel...A series of pH sensitive cationic polyelectrolyte gel beads were prepared by suspension copolymerization of styrene or methyl methacrylate with diethylaminoethyl methacrylate and divinylbenzene . The study on the swelling behavior of the gels showed that the hydrophobic/hydrophilic composition of the gels had a great influence on the phase transition pH value and the swelling ability of the gels. Both the equilibrium swelling capacity and the swelling rate were pH dependent. The drug release behavior of the gels were well correlated with the swelling behavior of the gels.展开更多
