Straw is a general term for the stem and leaf parts of mature crops,and is a multi-purpose renewable biomass energy resource in the agricultural ecosystem.The prospect of comprehensive utilization of straw has become ...Straw is a general term for the stem and leaf parts of mature crops,and is a multi-purpose renewable biomass energy resource in the agricultural ecosystem.The prospect of comprehensive utilization of straw has become broad with the development of agricultural production,the advancement of science and technology,and the improvement of the level of agricultural mechanization.The comprehensive utilization of straw plays an important role in enhancing the sustainable development ability of agricultural economy and improving the current situation of comprehensive utilization of agricultural resources in my country.This paper briefly combs the development history of straw and the prospect and current situation of comprehensive utilization,and expounds the separation technology of straw components,straw man-made panels,straw concrete,straw returning technology and oyster mushroom cultivation.It focuses on the description of the component separation technology of straw and the manufacturing process of straw-based panels.The different separation methods and separation effects of cellulose,hemicellulose and lignin were introduced in detail,and the static yield strength(MOR),internal bonding strength(IB)and water absorption thickness of several common straw-based panels were compared and studied(TS).Finally,it summarizes the benefit analysis of the comprehensive utilization of straw by scholars from the perspective of economics,and summarizes the corresponding measures based on their own views.展开更多
Ultrafine oxide dispersion strengthening(ODS)-Mo and ODS-W alloy powders containing different types of oxide nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by spraying method(solid−liquid mixing method)combined with the ...Ultrafine oxide dispersion strengthening(ODS)-Mo and ODS-W alloy powders containing different types of oxide nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by spraying method(solid−liquid mixing method)combined with the reductions with carbon black and hydrogen in sequence.It is concluded that the solution concentration and type of rare earth oxide have no effect on the grain size of ODS-Mo alloy powder,but have obvious effect on that of ODS-W alloy powder.The higher the concentration of rare earth solution is,the smaller the average grain size of ODS-W alloy powder is.Furthermore,compared with doping with CeO_(2),the grain sizes of reduction products of La_(2)O_(3) and Y_(2)O_(3) doped WO_(3) are relatively larger.Compared with the undoped case,there is almost no change for grain size of ODS-Mo alloy powder,while the grain size of ODS-W alloy powder becomes much larger.This is probably due to the appearance of the composite oxide(such as La_(2)WO_(6))formed by the reaction between tungsten oxide and rare earth oxides,which promotes the heterogeneous nucleation and growth of tungsten grains during the reduction process of ODS-W,while there is no complex oxide composed of molybdenum and rare earth oxides in the reduction process of ODS-Mo.展开更多
AIM: To retrospectively compare postoperative outcomes after primary enucleation and placement of a hydroxyapatite(HA) implant without wrapping, wrapped with auricular cartilage or donor sclera. METHODS: Medical recor...AIM: To retrospectively compare postoperative outcomes after primary enucleation and placement of a hydroxyapatite(HA) implant without wrapping, wrapped with auricular cartilage or donor sclera. METHODS: Medical records of patients presented as intraocular tumor or severe ocular injury were identified from the electronic medical record system. Cases underwent enucleation and HA orbital implantation were enrolled in this study and were divided into 3 groups according to the wrapping material of HA implant. Cases with autogenous cartilage caps were enrolled in group A(n=11), with donor sclera caps in group B(n=12), and without any wrapping material in group C(n=9). Follow-ups were set at 1, 2 wk, 1, 3, 6, and 12 mo after surgery.RESULTS: Altogether 32 cases finished the followup and were enrolled in this study. Three cases(27.27%) in group A, 4 cases(33.33%) in group B, and 4 cases(44.44%) in group C developed one complication each after surgery. In group A, no HA exposure occurred, but conjunctival inclusion cyst occurred in one and severe conjunctive chemosis in two cases. In group B, one HA exposure occurred, conjunctive inclusion cysts occurred in one, severe conjunctive chemosis occurred in one, and conjunctival granuloma occurred in one case. In group C, one HA exposure occurred, severe conjunctive chemosis occurred in two cases, and conjunctival granuloma occurred in one case. The case of exposure of none-wrapped implant was noted in the first 6 mo after placement of the orbital implant. The case of exposure of donor sclerawrapped implant was noted at the 12 mo after placement of the orbital implant. Both exposure cases were treated successfully with conservative treatment.CONCLUSION: With low incidence of implant exposure and mild complications, auricular cartilage can be a good choice of alternative wrapping material of orbit implant with satisfied outcome.展开更多
BACKGROUND Moebius syndrome(MBS)is a nonprogressive and rare congenital neuromuscular disorder involving the facial nerve and abductor nerve;it mainly manifests as facial paralysis and eye strabismus paralytic symptom...BACKGROUND Moebius syndrome(MBS)is a nonprogressive and rare congenital neuromuscular disorder involving the facial nerve and abductor nerve;it mainly manifests as facial paralysis and eye strabismus paralytic symptoms.Tissues in the oral cavity are also compromised,characterized by microstomia,micrognathia,tongue malformation,cleft lip,high arched palate or cleft palate,bifid uvula,and dental malocclusion.Therefore,dentistry plays a fundamental and crucial role in caring for these individuals.However,there is limited available data on MBS treatment,particularly regarding dental management.CASE SUMMARY This case report presents dental treatment of a 21-year-old man with MBS and discusses crucial interactions among oral complications of MBS.In this case,the patient was clinically characterized by congenital neuromuscular disorder,occlusal disorders,and tooth and gum problems.It is noteworthy that the patient presented early eruption of deciduous teeth 2 mo after birth,which has not been reported in other MBS cases and suggests a potentially new clinical manifestation of this syndrome.It is important to note that MBS cannot be cured,and oral manifestations of this syndrome can be managed by a multidisciplinary health care team that helps the patient maintain oral hygiene and dental health.After a series of oral treatments,no obvious poor oral hygiene,swollen gums,or abnormal imaging results were observed after 2 years of follow-up.CONCLUSION This case addressed the oral clinical manifestations of MBS and difficulties experienced during dental management,and suggested early tooth eruption as a potentially new clinical manifestation of this syndrome.Knowledge of the loopmediated association among oral complications of this syndrome is essential to perfecting treatments.展开更多
AIM:To investigate the suitability of a modified Hughes procedure,which consists of conjunctival flap with auricular cartilage grafting in reconstructing large full thickness upper and lower eyelid defect.METHODS:Pati...AIM:To investigate the suitability of a modified Hughes procedure,which consists of conjunctival flap with auricular cartilage grafting in reconstructing large full thickness upper and lower eyelid defect.METHODS:Patients with full thickness eyelid carcinoma involving more than 50%margin length who underwent surgical resection were retrospectively reviewed in the study.The defects were reconstructed using conjunctival flap with auricular cartilage grafting,covered with myocutaneous flap above.Followed-up time ranged from 12 to 24 mo.Outcomes were classified as“good”,“fair”,and“poor”by evaluating the margin appearance,eyelid appearance,and complications.RESULTS:A total of 42 patients were enrolled in the study(26 males,16 females,mean age,68.6±7.7 y,range:53 to 82 y).The mean defect widths measured 23.2±2.9 mm(range,17 to 28 mm).The mean posterior lamellar defect height was 5.5±1.3 mm(4 to 8 mm).Thirty-seven patients had a“good”outcome(88.1%),5 patients had a“fair”outcome(11.9%),and no one had a“poor”outcome.CONCLUSION:Conjunctival flap with auricular cartilage grafting and myocutaneous flap grafting is an effective procedure in reconstructing large full thickness upper and lower eyelid defect.It can not only achieve satisfied reconstruction,but also preserve intact tarsal plate of the opposite eyelid,avoiding retraction or entropion.展开更多

Background:Late-onset depression(LOD)and early-onset depression(EOD)exhibit different pathological mechanisms and clinical phenotypes,including different extents of olfactory dysfunction.However,the brain abnormalitie...Background:Late-onset depression(LOD)and early-onset depression(EOD)exhibit different pathological mechanisms and clinical phenotypes,including different extents of olfactory dysfunction.However,the brain abnormalities underlying the differences in ol-factory dysfunction between EOD and LOD remain unclear.Objective:The aim of this study was to compare the functional connectivity(FC)patterns of olfactory regions between EOD patients and LOD patients and examine their relationship with cognitive function.Methods:One hundred and five patients with EOD,101 patients with LOD and 160 normal controls(NCs)were recruited for the present study.Participants underwent clinical assessment,olfactory testing,cognitive assessments,and magnetic resonance imaging.Eight regions of the primary and secondary olfactory regions were selected to investigate olfactory FC.Results:Patients with LOD exhibited decreased odor identification(OI)compared with patients with EOD and NCs.The LOD group exhibited decreased FC compared with the EOD and NC groups when primary and secondary olfactory regions were selected as the regions of interest(the piriform cortex,lateral entorhinal cortex,and orbital-frontal cortex).Additionally,these abnormal olfactory FCs were associated with decreased cognitive function scores and OI,and the FC between the left orbital-frontal cortex and left amygdala was a partial mediator of the relationship between global cognitive scores and OI.Conclusion:Overall,patients with LOD exhibited decreased FC in both the primary and secondary olfactory cortices compared with patients with EOD,and abnormal olfactory FC was associated with OI dysfunction and cognitive impairment.The FC between the orbital-frontal cortex and amygdala mediated the relationship between global cognitive function and OI.展开更多
In this study,a g-C_(3)N_(4)-Cu_(2)O-TiO_(2) photocatalyst with a novel three-dimensional ordered macroporous(3DOM)structure was successfully prepared using a sacrificial template strategy and a photodeposition method...In this study,a g-C_(3)N_(4)-Cu_(2)O-TiO_(2) photocatalyst with a novel three-dimensional ordered macroporous(3DOM)structure was successfully prepared using a sacrificial template strategy and a photodeposition method.The influence of the special porous structure with cross pore channels on the photocatalytic properties of the as-prepared sample was studied in detail.Compared with the original photocatalyst(TiO_(2) with 3 wt%Pt),g-C_(3)N_(4)-Cu_(2)O-TiO_(2) exhibited a higher specific surface area and more active sites,thus accelerating the separation efficiency of the photogenerated electron-hole pair.Consequently,the as-prepared photocatalyst showed good photocatalytic performance,reaching a maximum hydrogen production rate of 12,108μmol g^(-1) h^(-1) and approximately five times higher than that of the pristine comparison sample.The enhanced photoactivity of the g-C_(3)N_(4)-Cu_(2)O-TiO_(2) heterojunction can be ascribed to its double p-n heterojunction and robust porous structure,where the photodeposited Cu_(2)O plays a synergistic catalytic role in the photocatalytic process and the outer clad g-C_(3)N_(4) layer prevents Cu_(2)O oxidation.Additionally,the possible photocatalytic mechanism was briefly discussed based on the experimental results.This work identifies viable pathways for developing low-cost heterojunction photocatalysts with highly efficient photocatalytic activity toward improved solar energy conversion.展开更多
