Background:Diabetic foot ulcers(DBFU)are one of the main complications of diabetes.Platelet-rich plasma(PRP)treatment is a commonly used treatment option.Tibial transverse transport(TTT)also has a therapeutic effect o...Background:Diabetic foot ulcers(DBFU)are one of the main complications of diabetes.Platelet-rich plasma(PRP)treatment is a commonly used treatment option.Tibial transverse transport(TTT)also has a therapeutic effect on DBFU.Some studies have found that the TTT combined with PRP(TTT&PRP)has a significant effect on DBFU.Methods:PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,EMBASE,Chinese Biomedical Literature,CNKI,VIP,and Wanfang databases were used to find literature on the treatment of DBFUs using the TTT and PRP treatment according to the inclusion criteria.The specific inclusion criteria are as follows:(1)research type:clinical controlled trials,including retrospective cohort and randomized controlled studies;(2)diagnosis of DBFUs that does not include a definitively diagnosed traumatic ulcer;(3)original materials of Chinese and English literature published in full text.The exclusion criteria are:(1)the research group was not defined or grouped;(2)nonrandomized controlled trials,non-cohort studies,non-case-control studies,retrospective studies,and case reports;(3)repetitive research and animal experimentation;(4)ulcers caused by other diseases;(5)conservative treatment or no use of invasive treatment methods.Review Manager software(version 5.3)was used to conduct a meta-analysis of the included results.Result:The literature included 6 randomized controlled studies,including 508 patients,254 patients in the PRP treatment group,and 254 patients in the TTT&PRP group.The meta-analysis results showed that in terms of treatment efficacy,the TTT&PRP combined treatment group had a higher efficacy than the PRP group.After treatment,the TTT&PRP group had better treatment effects in psychological function,physiological function,and social function compared to the PRP group.After treatment,the TTT&PRP group showed a significant increase in serum epidermal growth factor(EGF),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF),and platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF)levels compared to the PRP group.In terms of wound healing after treatment,the TTT&PRP group performed better than the PRP group in terms of postoperative wound reduction rate,bacterial clearance rate,granulation tissue coverage rate,and granulation tissue growth thickness.Conclusion:TTT combined with PRP was more effective than PRP alone in treating DBFUs.展开更多
In the realm of acoustic signal detection,the identification of weak signals,particularly in the presence of negative signal-to-noise ratios,poses a significant challenge.This challenge is further heightened when sign...In the realm of acoustic signal detection,the identification of weak signals,particularly in the presence of negative signal-to-noise ratios,poses a significant challenge.This challenge is further heightened when signals are acquired through fiber-optic hydrophones,as these signals often lack physical significance and resist clear systematic modeling.Conventional processing methods,e.g.,low-pass filter(LPF),require a thorough understanding of the effective signal bandwidth for noise reduction,and may introduce undesirable time lags.This paper introduces an innovative feedback control method with dual Kalman filters for the demodulation of phase signals with noises in fiber-optic hydrophones.A mathematical model of the closed-loop system is established to guide the design of the feedback control,aiming to achieve a balance with the input phase signal.The dual Kalman filters are instrumental in mitigating the effects of signal noise,observation noise,and control execution noise,thereby enabling precise estimation for the input phase signals.The effectiveness of this feedback control method is demonstrated through examples,showcasing the restoration of low-noise signals,negative signal-to-noise ratio signals,and multi-frequency signals.This research contributes to the technical advancement of high-performance devices,including fiber-optic hydrophones and phase-locked amplifiers.展开更多
AIM:To observe the retinal and choroidal circulations in patients with non-arteritic permanent central retinal artery occlusion(NA-CRAO)via optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)and analyze their correlation w...AIM:To observe the retinal and choroidal circulations in patients with non-arteritic permanent central retinal artery occlusion(NA-CRAO)via optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)and analyze their correlation with visual acuity.METHODS:Sixty-two eyes with clinically confirmed acute NA-CRAO were included in the study and divided into:A type(mild n=29),B type(moderate n=27)and C type(severe n=6)based on the degree of visual loss,retinal edema,and arterial blood flow delay in fundus fluorescence angiography(FFA).Contralateral healthy eyes were used as the control group.Best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),slit lamp microscopy,indirect ophthalmoscopy,fundus color photography,OCTA,and FFA were performed.Spearman’s correlation analysis was used to determine the correlations between retinal and choroidal vessels and visual acuity.RESULTS:There were no statistically significant differences in age,gender,and intraocular pressure among the three types and the control group(P>0.05).Vessel density in deep capillary plexus(VD-DCP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in all three types of NA-CRAO patients compared to the control group.Vessel density in superficial vascular plexus(VD-SVP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type A patients and choriocapillaris flow area significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type B and type C patients compared to the control group;while outer retinal flow areas significantly increased in the type A(P<0.05)and decreased in type C patients(P<0.05).The retinal thickness significantly increased in type C group(P<0.05).The VD-SVP at fovea in the type A was significantly lower than both of type B and C.The VD-SVP at nasal parafovea in type A and B was significantly lower than type C(P<0.05).The logMAR BCVA of type A was significantly better than that of type B and C groups(P<0.05).Spearman’s correlation analysis showed that the logMAR BCVA was positively correlated with VD-SVP at fovea(r=0.679,P=0.031)and nasal parafovea(r=0.826,P=0.013).CONCLUSION:OCTA is valuable for assessing retinal ischemia,and evaluating visual impairment.Deep retinal vasculature is commonly affected in all NA-CRAO types.VDSVPs at fovea and nasal parafovea can serve as reliable markers of visual impairment in NA-CRAO.展开更多

To satisfy the requirements of dual-harmonic acceleration, a new radiofrequency(RF) system based on a magnetic alloy-loaded cavity is proposed. This paper presents design considerations and experimental results regarding the performance evaluation of the proposed RF system through high-power tests and beam commissioning. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of sevoflurane on cyclic adenosine monophosphate response element binding protein(CREB),phosphorylated CREB(pCREB),and Livin expression in the cortex and hippocampus of a rat model of vascular cognitive impairment. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled experiment was performed in the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Neurology between June 2007 and July 2008. MATERIALS:Sevoflurane was provided by Abbott Laboratory,UK;Morris water maze was provided by Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,China;goat anti-rat CREB,goat anti-rat pCREB and goat anti-rat Livin antibodies were provided by Biosource International,USA. METHODS:A total of 42 female,Wistar rats were randomly assigned to the following groups:sham operation,vascular cognitive impairment,and sevoflurane treatment.The vascular cognitive impairment rat model was established by permanent bilateral occlusion of both common carotid arteries,and 1.0 MAC sevoflurane was immediately administered by inhalation for 2 hours. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:CREB,pCREB,and Livin expression was measured in the cortex and hippocampus by Western blot and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.Behavior was evaluated with Morris water maze. RESULTS:CREB,pCREB,and Livin expression in the sevoflurane treatment group was significantly greater than the vascular cognitive impairment group(P<0.01).However,expression of CREB and pCREB was significantly less in the sevoflurane treatment and vascular cognitive impairment groups,compared with the sham operation group(P<0.01).Livin expression in the sevoflurane treatment and vascular cognitive impairment groups was significantly greater than the sham operation group(P<0.01).Learning,memory,and behavior disorders were observed in the vascular cognitive impairment group.Sevoflurane treatment significantly improved these observed disorders. CONCLUSION:Sevoflurane improved cognitive impairment due to permanent bilateral occlusion of both common carotid arteries.Improved function was associated with increased CREB,pCREB,and Livin expression in the cortex and hippocampus.展开更多
BACKGROUND Persistent suspicion of prostate cancer(PCa)due to a rising prostate-specific antigen(PSA)level after repeated negative biopsies is a serious challenge in clinical practice.AIM To determine the role of Hira...BACKGROUND Persistent suspicion of prostate cancer(PCa)due to a rising prostate-specific antigen(PSA)level after repeated negative biopsies is a serious challenge in clinical practice.AIM To determine the role of Hiraoka’s transurethral detachment of the prostate(TUDP)combined with biopsy of the peripheral zone during the same session in patients with repeated negative biopsies in the diagnosis of PCa.METHODS We retrospectively evaluated the records of 10 patients who were eligible for inclusion in our hospital between December 2012 and August 2017.Patient demographics,a family history of PCa,the number of biopsies,prostate volume,pathological examination,and perioperative PSA level were obtained.RESULTS Two of 10 patients were pathologically diagnosed with PCa after surgery;the Gleason scores were 4+4 and 4+3,respectively.Both patients subsequently underwent laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.The median PSA levels preoperatively,and 3 mo and 1 year postoperatively in the other eight patients who were diagnosed with benign prostate hyperplasia after surgery were 19.10 ng/mL,1.10 ng/mL,and 1.15 ng/mL,respectively.The adjusted P values of the 3-mo and 1-year post-operative PSA level vs pre-operative PSA level were 0.003 and 0.026,respectively.None of the patients had increased PSA levels or PCa detected after a median 35 mo of follow-up.CONCLUSION TUDP combined with peripheral zone biopsy may improve the detection rate of PCa in patients with repeated negative biopsies.The PSA level declined rapidly in patients who had negative pathological examinations after TUDP,which remained stable 1 year after surgery.展开更多
Harmonic nonlinear ultrasound can offer high sensitivity for residual stress measurements;however,it cannot be used for local stress measurements at a point in space and exhibits nonlinear distortions in the experimen...Harmonic nonlinear ultrasound can offer high sensitivity for residual stress measurements;however,it cannot be used for local stress measurements at a point in space and exhibits nonlinear distortions in the experimental system.This paper presents a feasibility study on the measurement of residual stress in a metal plate using a nonlinear Lamb wave-mixing technique.The resonant conditions for two Lamb waves to generate a mixing frequency wave are obtained via theoretical analysis.Finite element simulations are performed to investigate the nonlinear interactions between the two Lamb waves.Results show that two incident A0 waves interact in regions of material nonlinearity and generate a rightward S0 wave at the sum frequency.Residual stress measurement experiments are conducted on steel plate specimens using the collinear Lamb wave-mixing technique.By setting different delays for two transmitters,the generated sum-frequency component at different spatial locations is measured.Experimental results show that the spatial distribution of the amplitude of the sum-frequency component agrees well with the spatial distribution of the residual stress measured using X-rays.The proposed collinear Lamb wave-mixing method is effective for measuring the distribution of residual stress in metal plates.展开更多
BACKGROUND The clinical and histological features of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)patients who fall into the"grey zone(GZ)"and do not fit into conventional natural phases are unclear.AIM To explore the impact of ...BACKGROUND The clinical and histological features of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)patients who fall into the"grey zone(GZ)"and do not fit into conventional natural phases are unclear.AIM To explore the impact of varying the threshold of alanine aminotransferase(ALT)levels in identifying significant liver injury among GZ patients.METHODS This retrospective analysis involved a cohort of 1617 adult patients diagnosed with CHB who underwent liver biopsy.The clinical phases of CHB patients were determined based on the European Association for the Study of the Liver 2017 Clinical Practice Guidelines.GZ CHB patients were classified into four groups:GZ-A(HBeAg positive,normal ALT levels,and HBV DNA≤10^(7) IU/mL),GZ-B(HBeAg positive,elevated ALT levels,and HBV DNA<10^(4) or>10^(7) IU/mL),GZC(HBeAg negative,normal ALT levels,and HBV DNA≥2000 IU/mL),and GZ-D(HBeAg negative,elevated ALT levels,and HBV DNA≤2000 IU/mL).Significant hepatic injury(SHI)was defined as the presence of notable liver inflammation(≥G2)and/or significant fibrosis(≥S2).RESULTS The results showed that 50.22%of patients were classified as GZ,and 63.7%of GZ patients developed SHI.The study also found that lowering the ALT treatment thresholds to the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases 2018 treatment criteria(35 U/L for men and 25 U/L for women)can more accurately identify patients with significant liver damage in the GZ phases.In total,the proportion of patients with ALT≤40 U/L who required antiviral therapy was 64.86%[(221+294)/794].When we lowered the ALT treatment threshold to the new criteria(30 U/L for men and 19 U/L for women),the same outcome was revealed,and the proportion of patients with ALT≤40 U/L who required antiviral therapy was 75.44%[(401+198)/794].Additionally,the proportion of SHI was 49.1%in patients under 30 years old and increased to 55.3%in patients over 30 years old(P=0.136).CONCLUSION These findings suggest the importance of redefining the natural phases of CHB and using new ALT treatment thresholds for better diagnosis and management of CHB patients in the GZ phases.展开更多
BACKGROUND Liver cirrhosis(LC)is a prevalent and severe disease in China.The burden of LC is changing with widespread vaccination of hepatitis B virus(HBV)and antiviral therapy.However,the recent transition in etiolog...BACKGROUND Liver cirrhosis(LC)is a prevalent and severe disease in China.The burden of LC is changing with widespread vaccination of hepatitis B virus(HBV)and antiviral therapy.However,the recent transition in etiologies and clinical features of LC cases requiring hospitalization is unclear.AIM To identify the transition in etiologies and clinical characteristics of hospitalized LC patients in Southern China.METHODS In this retrospective,cross-sectional study we included LC inpatients admitted between January 2001 and December 2020.Medical data indicating etiological diagnosis and LC complications,and demographic,laboratory,and imaging data were collected from our hospital-based dataset.The etiologies of LC were mainly determined according to the discharge diagnosis,and upper gastrointestinal bleeding,ascites,hepatic encephalopathy,spontaneous bacterial peritonitis,hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),portal vein thrombosis,hepatorenal syndrome,and acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)were considered LC-related complications in our study.Changing trends in the etiologies and clinical characteristics were investigated using logistic regression,and temporal trends in proportions of separated years were investigated using the Cochran-Armitage test.In-hospital prognosis and risk factors associated with in-hospital mortality were also invest igated.RESULTS A total of 33143 patients were included in the study[mean(SD)age,51.7(11.9)years],and 82.2%were males.The mean age of the study population increased from 51.0 years in 2001-2010 to 52.0 years in 2011-2020(P<0.001),and the proportion of female patients increased from 16.7%in 2001-2010 to 18.2%in 2011-2020(P=0.003).LC patients in the decompensated stage at diagnosis decreased from 68.1%in 2001-2010 to 64.6%in 2011-2020(P<0.001),and the median score of model for end-stage liver disease also decreased from 14.0 to 11.0(P<0.001).HBV remained the major etiology of LC(75.0%)and the dominant cause of viral hepatitis-LC(94.5%)during the study period.However,the proportion of HBV-LC decreased from 82.4%in 2001-2005 to 74.2%in 2016-2020,and the proportion of viral hepatitis-LC decreased from 85.2%in 2001-2005 to 78.1%in 2016-2020(both P for trend<0.001).Meanwhile,the proportions of LC caused by alcoholic liver disease,autoimmune hepatitis and mixed etiology increased by 2.5%,0.8%and 4.5%,respectively(all P for trend<0.001).In-hospital mortality was stable at 1.0%in 2011-2020,whereas HCC and ACLF manifested the highest increases in prevalence among all LC complications(35.8%to 41.0%and 5.7%to 12.4%,respectively)and were associated with 6-fold and 4-fold increased risks of mortality(odds ratios:6.03 and 4.22,respectively).CONCLUSION LC inpatients have experienced changes in age distribution and etiologies of cirrhosis over the last 20 years in Southern China.HCC and ACLF are associated with the highest risk of in-hospital mortality among LC complications.展开更多
The perturbations of low earth orbit(LEO)satellites operating in the orbit of 300~2000 km are complicated.In particular,the atmospheric drag force and solar radiation pressure force change rapidly over a short period ...The perturbations of low earth orbit(LEO)satellites operating in the orbit of 300~2000 km are complicated.In particular,the atmospheric drag force and solar radiation pressure force change rapidly over a short period of time due to solar activities.Using spaceborne global positioning system(GPS)data of the CHAMP,GRACE and SWARM satellites from 2002 to 2020,this paper studies in depth the influence of solar activity on LEO satellites’precise orbit prediction by performing a series of orbit prediction experiments.The quality of GPS data is more susceptible to being influenced by solar activity during years when this activity is high and the changes in dynamic parameters are consistent with those of solar activity.The effects of solar activity on LEO orbit prediction accuracy are analyzed by comparing the predicted orbits with the precise ones.During years of high solar activity,the average root-mean-squares prediction errors at 10,20,and 30 minutes are 0.15,0.20,and 0.26 m,respectively,which are larger than the corresponding values in low-solar-activity years by 59%,63%,and 68%,respectively.These results demonstrate that solar activity has a great influence on the orbit prediction accuracy,especially during high-solar-activity years.We should strengthen the real-time monitoring of solar activity and geomagnetic activity,and formulate corresponding orbit prediction strategies for the active solar period.展开更多
To alleviate the performance deterioration caused by dynamic stall of a wind turbine airfoil,the flow control by a microsecond-pulsed dielectric barrier discharge(MP-DBD) actuator on the dynamic stall of a periodicall...To alleviate the performance deterioration caused by dynamic stall of a wind turbine airfoil,the flow control by a microsecond-pulsed dielectric barrier discharge(MP-DBD) actuator on the dynamic stall of a periodically pitching NACA0012 airfoil was investigated experimentally.Unsteady pressure measurements with high temporal accuracy were employed in this study,and the unsteady characteristics of the boundary layer were investigated by wavelet packet analysis and the moving root mean square method based on the acquired pressure.The experimental Mach number was 0.2,and the chord-based Reynolds number was 870 000.The dimensionless actuation frequencies F+ were chosen to be 0.5,1,2,and 3,respectively.For the light dynamic regime,the MP-DBD plasma actuator plays the role of suppressing flow separation from the trial edge and accelerating the flow reattachment due to the high-momentum freestream flow being entrained into the boundary layer.Meanwhile,actuation effects were promoted with the increasing dimensionless actuation frequency F+.The control effects of the deep dynamic stall were to delay the onset and reduce the strength of the dynamic stall vortex due to the accumulating vorticity near the leading edge being removed by the induced coherent vortex structures.The laminar fluctuation and Kelvin-Helmholtz(K-H) instabilities of transition and relaminarization were also mitigated by the MP-DBD actuation,and the alleviated K-H rolls led to the delay of the transition onset and earlier laminar reattachment,which improved the hysteresis effect of the dynamic stall.For the controlled cases of F+=2,and F+=3,the laminar fluctuation was replaced by relatively low frequency band disturbances corresponding to the harmonic responses of the MP-DBD actuation frequency.展开更多
The mushroom growth of IoT has been accompanied by the generation of massive amounts of data.Subject to the limited storage and computing capabilities ofmost IoT devices,a growing number of institutions and organizati...The mushroom growth of IoT has been accompanied by the generation of massive amounts of data.Subject to the limited storage and computing capabilities ofmost IoT devices,a growing number of institutions and organizations outsource their data computing tasks to cloud servers to obtain efficient and accurate computation while avoiding the cost of local data computing.One of the most important challenges facing outsourcing computing is how to ensure the correctness of computation results.Linearly homomorphic proxy signature(LHPS)is a desirable solution to ensure the reliability of outsourcing computing in the case of authorized signing right.Blockchain has the characteristics of tamper-proof and traceability,and is a new technology to solve data security.However,as far as we know,constructions of LHPS have been few and far between.In addition,the existing LHPS scheme does not focus on homomorphic unforgeability and does not use blockchain technology.Herein,we improve the security model of the LHPS scheme,and the usual existential forgery and homomorphic existential forgery of two types of adversaries are considered.Under the new model,we present a blockchain-based LHPS scheme.The security analysis shows that under the adaptive chosen message attack,the unforgeability of the proposed scheme can be reduced to the CDH hard assumption,while achieving the usual and homomorphic existential unforgeability.Moreover,comparedwith the previous LHPS scheme,the performance analysis shows that our scheme has the same key size and comparable computational overhead,but has higher security.展开更多
AIM:To describe the clinical characteristics of eyes using multimodal imaging features with acute macular neuroretinopathy(AMN)lesions following severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection.MET...AIM:To describe the clinical characteristics of eyes using multimodal imaging features with acute macular neuroretinopathy(AMN)lesions following severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection.METHODS:Retrospective case series study.From December 18,2022 to February 14,2023,previously healthy cases within 1-week infection with SARS-CoV-2 and examined at Tianjin Eye Hospital to confirm the diagnosis of AMN were included in the study.Totally 5 males and 9 females[mean age:29.93±10.32(16-49)y]were presented for reduced vision,with or without blurred vision.All patients underwent best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),intraocular pressure,slit lamp microscopy,indirect fundoscopy.Simultaneously,multimodal imagings fundus photography(45°or 200°field of view)was performed in 7 cases(14 eyes).Near infrared(NIR)fundus photography was performed in 9 cases(18 eyes),optical coherence tomography(OCT)in 5 cases(10 eyes),optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)in 9 cases(18 eyes),and fundus fluorescence angiography(FFA)in 3 cases(6 eyes).Visual field was performed in 1 case(2 eyes).RESULTS:Multimodal imaging findings data from 14 patients with AMN were reviewed.All eyes demonstrated different extent hyperreflective lesions at the level of the inner nuclear layer and/or outer plexus layer on OCT or OCTA.Fundus photography(45°or 200°field of view)showed irregular hypo-reflective lesion around the fovea in 7 cases(14 eyes).OCTA demonstrated that the superficial retinal capillary plexus(SCP)vascular density,deep capillary plexus(DCP)vascular density and choriocapillaris(CC)vascular density was reduced in 9 case(18 eyes).Among the follow-up cases(2 cases),vascular density increased in 1 case with elevated BCVA;another case has vascular density decrease in one eye and basically unchanged in other eye.En face images of the ellipsoidal zone and interdigitation zone injury showed a low wedge-shaped reflection contour appearance.NIR image mainly show the absence of the outer retinal interdigitation zone in AMN.No abnormal fluorescence was observed in FFA.Corresponding partial defect of the visual field were visualized via perimeter in one case.CONCLUSION:The morbidity of SARS-CoV-2 infection with AMN is increased.Ophthalmologists should be aware of the possible,albeit rare,AMN after SARS-CoV-2 infection and focus on multimodal imaging features.OCT,OCTA,and infrared fundus phase are proved to be valuable tools for detection of AMN in patients with SARS-CoV-2.展开更多
AIM:To investigate the association of ganglion cell complex thickness(GCCt),global loss volume percentage(GLV%),and focal loss volume percentage(FLV%)with structural and functional findings among patients with chronic...AIM:To investigate the association of ganglion cell complex thickness(GCCt),global loss volume percentage(GLV%),and focal loss volume percentage(FLV%)with structural and functional findings among patients with chronic central serous chorioretinopathy(CCSC)and recurrent central serous chorioretinopathy(RCSC)by optical coherence tomography(OCT).METHODS:Among 29 patients with monocular affected central serous chorioretinopathy(CSC),15 had CCSC,and 14 had RCSC.The GCCt,FLV%,GLV%,and subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT)and sublesional choroidal thickness(SLCT)values were determined using OCT,and the association of these characteristics with neural structure parameters,choroidal morphology,features and functional alterations were estimated for the CCSC and RCSC patients.RESULTS:In CCSC,the affected eyes had significantly lower GCCt values than the fellow eyes in the macular regions(all P<0.05),with the highest GCCt observed in the inferior area.A significant association was found between the GCCt in different regions and the change in best corrected visual acuity(BCVA;r=-0.696;-0.695;-0.694,P<0.05)in CCSC patients.A statistically significant moderate negative correlation indicated that long-term CCSC was associated with greater differences in the GCCt in different regions between affected and fellow eyes(r=-0.562;r=-0.556;r=0.525,P<0.05).Additionally,observation of thickened SFCT was associated with a worse FLV%(r=0.599;r=0.546,P<0.05)in both groups.Similarly,thickened SLCT was associated with FLV%in RCSC patients(r=0.544,P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The distribution and GCCt are associated with the duration and visual outcomes of CCSC,whereas there is no correlation among RCSC patients.FLV%may be instrumental in differentiating the various outer choroidal vessels(pachyvessels)in long-term CSC.These results suggest that neural structure parameters may aid in estimating and predicting the recovery of altered morphology and function in CCSC and RCSC patients.展开更多
The skeleton is a highly innervated organ in which nerve fibers interact with various skeletal cells.Peripheral nerve endings release neurogenic factors and sense skeletal signals,which mediate bone metabolism and ske...The skeleton is a highly innervated organ in which nerve fibers interact with various skeletal cells.Peripheral nerve endings release neurogenic factors and sense skeletal signals,which mediate bone metabolism and skeletal pain.In recent years,bone tissue engineering has increasingly focused on the effects of the nervous system on bone regeneration.Simultaneous regeneration of bone and nerves through the use of materials or by the enhancement of endogenous neurogenic repair signals has been proven to promote functional bone regeneration.Additionally,emerging information on the mechanisms of skeletal interoception and the central nervous system regulation of bone homeostasis provide an opportunity for advancing biomaterials.However,comprehensive reviews of this topic are lacking.Therefore,this review provides an overview of the relationship between nerves and bone regeneration,focusing on tissue engineering applications.We discuss novel regulatory mechanisms and explore innovative approaches based on nerve–bone interactions for bone regeneration.Finally,the challenges and future prospects of this field are briefly discussed.展开更多

文摘Background:Diabetic foot ulcers(DBFU)are one of the main complications of diabetes.Platelet-rich plasma(PRP)treatment is a commonly used treatment option.Tibial transverse transport(TTT)also has a therapeutic effect on DBFU.Some studies have found that the TTT combined with PRP(TTT&PRP)has a significant effect on DBFU.Methods:PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,EMBASE,Chinese Biomedical Literature,CNKI,VIP,and Wanfang databases were used to find literature on the treatment of DBFUs using the TTT and PRP treatment according to the inclusion criteria.The specific inclusion criteria are as follows:(1)research type:clinical controlled trials,including retrospective cohort and randomized controlled studies;(2)diagnosis of DBFUs that does not include a definitively diagnosed traumatic ulcer;(3)original materials of Chinese and English literature published in full text.The exclusion criteria are:(1)the research group was not defined or grouped;(2)nonrandomized controlled trials,non-cohort studies,non-case-control studies,retrospective studies,and case reports;(3)repetitive research and animal experimentation;(4)ulcers caused by other diseases;(5)conservative treatment or no use of invasive treatment methods.Review Manager software(version 5.3)was used to conduct a meta-analysis of the included results.Result:The literature included 6 randomized controlled studies,including 508 patients,254 patients in the PRP treatment group,and 254 patients in the TTT&PRP group.The meta-analysis results showed that in terms of treatment efficacy,the TTT&PRP combined treatment group had a higher efficacy than the PRP group.After treatment,the TTT&PRP group had better treatment effects in psychological function,physiological function,and social function compared to the PRP group.After treatment,the TTT&PRP group showed a significant increase in serum epidermal growth factor(EGF),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF),and platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF)levels compared to the PRP group.In terms of wound healing after treatment,the TTT&PRP group performed better than the PRP group in terms of postoperative wound reduction rate,bacterial clearance rate,granulation tissue coverage rate,and granulation tissue growth thickness.Conclusion:TTT combined with PRP was more effective than PRP alone in treating DBFUs.

文摘In the realm of acoustic signal detection,the identification of weak signals,particularly in the presence of negative signal-to-noise ratios,poses a significant challenge.This challenge is further heightened when signals are acquired through fiber-optic hydrophones,as these signals often lack physical significance and resist clear systematic modeling.Conventional processing methods,e.g.,low-pass filter(LPF),require a thorough understanding of the effective signal bandwidth for noise reduction,and may introduce undesirable time lags.This paper introduces an innovative feedback control method with dual Kalman filters for the demodulation of phase signals with noises in fiber-optic hydrophones.A mathematical model of the closed-loop system is established to guide the design of the feedback control,aiming to achieve a balance with the input phase signal.The dual Kalman filters are instrumental in mitigating the effects of signal noise,observation noise,and control execution noise,thereby enabling precise estimation for the input phase signals.The effectiveness of this feedback control method is demonstrated through examples,showcasing the restoration of low-noise signals,negative signal-to-noise ratio signals,and multi-frequency signals.This research contributes to the technical advancement of high-performance devices,including fiber-optic hydrophones and phase-locked amplifiers.

文摘AIM:To observe the retinal and choroidal circulations in patients with non-arteritic permanent central retinal artery occlusion(NA-CRAO)via optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)and analyze their correlation with visual acuity.METHODS:Sixty-two eyes with clinically confirmed acute NA-CRAO were included in the study and divided into:A type(mild n=29),B type(moderate n=27)and C type(severe n=6)based on the degree of visual loss,retinal edema,and arterial blood flow delay in fundus fluorescence angiography(FFA).Contralateral healthy eyes were used as the control group.Best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),slit lamp microscopy,indirect ophthalmoscopy,fundus color photography,OCTA,and FFA were performed.Spearman’s correlation analysis was used to determine the correlations between retinal and choroidal vessels and visual acuity.RESULTS:There were no statistically significant differences in age,gender,and intraocular pressure among the three types and the control group(P>0.05).Vessel density in deep capillary plexus(VD-DCP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in all three types of NA-CRAO patients compared to the control group.Vessel density in superficial vascular plexus(VD-SVP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type A patients and choriocapillaris flow area significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type B and type C patients compared to the control group;while outer retinal flow areas significantly increased in the type A(P<0.05)and decreased in type C patients(P<0.05).The retinal thickness significantly increased in type C group(P<0.05).The VD-SVP at fovea in the type A was significantly lower than both of type B and C.The VD-SVP at nasal parafovea in type A and B was significantly lower than type C(P<0.05).The logMAR BCVA of type A was significantly better than that of type B and C groups(P<0.05).Spearman’s correlation analysis showed that the logMAR BCVA was positively correlated with VD-SVP at fovea(r=0.679,P=0.031)and nasal parafovea(r=0.826,P=0.013).CONCLUSION:OCTA is valuable for assessing retinal ischemia,and evaluating visual impairment.Deep retinal vasculature is commonly affected in all NA-CRAO types.VDSVPs at fovea and nasal parafovea can serve as reliable markers of visual impairment in NA-CRAO.

文摘The China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS) upgrade project(CSNS-Ⅱ) aims to enhance the beam power from 100 to 500 kW. A dual-harmonic accelerating method has been adopted to alleviate the stronger space-charge effect in rapid-cycling synchrotrons owing to the increased beam intensity. To satisfy the requirements of dual-harmonic acceleration, a new radiofrequency(RF) system based on a magnetic alloy-loaded cavity is proposed. This paper presents design considerations and experimental results regarding the performance evaluation of the proposed RF system through high-power tests and beam commissioning. The test results demonstrate that the RF system satisfies the desired specifications and affords significant benefits for CSNS-Ⅱ.

文摘AIM:To clarify whether histone deacetylase inhibitors histone deacetylase inhibitors(HDACIs)can sensitize hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)cells to sorafenib treatment.METHODS:Bax,Bcl-2,ATG5-ATG12,p21,and p27protein levels in Hep3B,HepG2,and PLC/PRF/5 cells were examined by Western blot.CCK8 and a fluorometric caspase-3 assay were used to examine cellular viability and apoptosis levels.The effect of Beclin-1 on sensitization of HCC cells to sorafenib was examined by transfecting Beclin-1 siRNA into Hep3B,HepG2,and PLC/PRF/5 cells.RESULTS:Autophagy inhibition enhances the inhibitory effects of vorinostat and sorafenib alone or in combination on HCC cell growth.Vorinostat and sorafenib synergistically induced apoptosis and cell cycle alterations.Western blot data indicated that HDACIs and Beclin-1 knockdown increased the p53 acetylation level.The knockdown of Beclin-1 enhanced the synergistic effect of the combination of vorinostat with sorafenib.CONCLUSION:HDACIs can sensitize HCC cells to sorafenib treatment by regulating the acetylation level of Beclin-1.

文摘The traditional Chinese herb Astragalus membranaceus is a well-known treatment for neurological diseases and is considered to exhibit anti-dementia properties.This study investigated the synergistic effects of magnesium ions and Astragalus membranaceus on global brain ischemia in rats.4'-6-diamidino-2-phenylindole staining demonstrated that the number of living neurons was significantly greater in the rat hippocampus after administration of a combination of Astragalus membranaceus and magnesium,compared with a vehicle group,an Astragalus membranaceus alone group,and a magnesium alone group.Western blot assay revealed that cleaved Caspase-3 protein expression was significantly reduced in the rat hippocampus in the combined Astragalus membranaceus and magnesium group compared with the Astragalus membranaceus alone group and the magnesium alone group.The results suggested that the combination of Astragalus membranaceus and magnesium exhibits a stronger neuroprotective effect on global brain ischemia in rats compared with Astragalus membranaceus or magnesium alone.This effect was associated with decreased Caspase-3 expression.
文摘BACKGROUND:Neuronal necrosis and apoptosis play important roles in the pathophysiology of cerebral ischemia and resulting cognitive impairment.However,inhibition of neuronal necrosis and apoptosis has been shown to attenuate cognitive impairment following cerebral ischemia. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of sevoflurane on cyclic adenosine monophosphate response element binding protein(CREB),phosphorylated CREB(pCREB),and Livin expression in the cortex and hippocampus of a rat model of vascular cognitive impairment. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled experiment was performed in the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Neurology between June 2007 and July 2008. MATERIALS:Sevoflurane was provided by Abbott Laboratory,UK;Morris water maze was provided by Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,China;goat anti-rat CREB,goat anti-rat pCREB and goat anti-rat Livin antibodies were provided by Biosource International,USA. METHODS:A total of 42 female,Wistar rats were randomly assigned to the following groups:sham operation,vascular cognitive impairment,and sevoflurane treatment.The vascular cognitive impairment rat model was established by permanent bilateral occlusion of both common carotid arteries,and 1.0 MAC sevoflurane was immediately administered by inhalation for 2 hours. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:CREB,pCREB,and Livin expression was measured in the cortex and hippocampus by Western blot and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.Behavior was evaluated with Morris water maze. RESULTS:CREB,pCREB,and Livin expression in the sevoflurane treatment group was significantly greater than the vascular cognitive impairment group(P<0.01).However,expression of CREB and pCREB was significantly less in the sevoflurane treatment and vascular cognitive impairment groups,compared with the sham operation group(P<0.01).Livin expression in the sevoflurane treatment and vascular cognitive impairment groups was significantly greater than the sham operation group(P<0.01).Learning,memory,and behavior disorders were observed in the vascular cognitive impairment group.Sevoflurane treatment significantly improved these observed disorders. CONCLUSION:Sevoflurane improved cognitive impairment due to permanent bilateral occlusion of both common carotid arteries.Improved function was associated with increased CREB,pCREB,and Livin expression in the cortex and hippocampus.

文摘BACKGROUND Persistent suspicion of prostate cancer(PCa)due to a rising prostate-specific antigen(PSA)level after repeated negative biopsies is a serious challenge in clinical practice.AIM To determine the role of Hiraoka’s transurethral detachment of the prostate(TUDP)combined with biopsy of the peripheral zone during the same session in patients with repeated negative biopsies in the diagnosis of PCa.METHODS We retrospectively evaluated the records of 10 patients who were eligible for inclusion in our hospital between December 2012 and August 2017.Patient demographics,a family history of PCa,the number of biopsies,prostate volume,pathological examination,and perioperative PSA level were obtained.RESULTS Two of 10 patients were pathologically diagnosed with PCa after surgery;the Gleason scores were 4+4 and 4+3,respectively.Both patients subsequently underwent laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.The median PSA levels preoperatively,and 3 mo and 1 year postoperatively in the other eight patients who were diagnosed with benign prostate hyperplasia after surgery were 19.10 ng/mL,1.10 ng/mL,and 1.15 ng/mL,respectively.The adjusted P values of the 3-mo and 1-year post-operative PSA level vs pre-operative PSA level were 0.003 and 0.026,respectively.None of the patients had increased PSA levels or PCa detected after a median 35 mo of follow-up.CONCLUSION TUDP combined with peripheral zone biopsy may improve the detection rate of PCa in patients with repeated negative biopsies.The PSA level declined rapidly in patients who had negative pathological examinations after TUDP,which remained stable 1 year after surgery.

文摘Harmonic nonlinear ultrasound can offer high sensitivity for residual stress measurements;however,it cannot be used for local stress measurements at a point in space and exhibits nonlinear distortions in the experimental system.This paper presents a feasibility study on the measurement of residual stress in a metal plate using a nonlinear Lamb wave-mixing technique.The resonant conditions for two Lamb waves to generate a mixing frequency wave are obtained via theoretical analysis.Finite element simulations are performed to investigate the nonlinear interactions between the two Lamb waves.Results show that two incident A0 waves interact in regions of material nonlinearity and generate a rightward S0 wave at the sum frequency.Residual stress measurement experiments are conducted on steel plate specimens using the collinear Lamb wave-mixing technique.By setting different delays for two transmitters,the generated sum-frequency component at different spatial locations is measured.Experimental results show that the spatial distribution of the amplitude of the sum-frequency component agrees well with the spatial distribution of the residual stress measured using X-rays.The proposed collinear Lamb wave-mixing method is effective for measuring the distribution of residual stress in metal plates.

文摘BACKGROUND The clinical and histological features of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)patients who fall into the"grey zone(GZ)"and do not fit into conventional natural phases are unclear.AIM To explore the impact of varying the threshold of alanine aminotransferase(ALT)levels in identifying significant liver injury among GZ patients.METHODS This retrospective analysis involved a cohort of 1617 adult patients diagnosed with CHB who underwent liver biopsy.The clinical phases of CHB patients were determined based on the European Association for the Study of the Liver 2017 Clinical Practice Guidelines.GZ CHB patients were classified into four groups:GZ-A(HBeAg positive,normal ALT levels,and HBV DNA≤10^(7) IU/mL),GZ-B(HBeAg positive,elevated ALT levels,and HBV DNA<10^(4) or>10^(7) IU/mL),GZC(HBeAg negative,normal ALT levels,and HBV DNA≥2000 IU/mL),and GZ-D(HBeAg negative,elevated ALT levels,and HBV DNA≤2000 IU/mL).Significant hepatic injury(SHI)was defined as the presence of notable liver inflammation(≥G2)and/or significant fibrosis(≥S2).RESULTS The results showed that 50.22%of patients were classified as GZ,and 63.7%of GZ patients developed SHI.The study also found that lowering the ALT treatment thresholds to the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases 2018 treatment criteria(35 U/L for men and 25 U/L for women)can more accurately identify patients with significant liver damage in the GZ phases.In total,the proportion of patients with ALT≤40 U/L who required antiviral therapy was 64.86%[(221+294)/794].When we lowered the ALT treatment threshold to the new criteria(30 U/L for men and 19 U/L for women),the same outcome was revealed,and the proportion of patients with ALT≤40 U/L who required antiviral therapy was 75.44%[(401+198)/794].Additionally,the proportion of SHI was 49.1%in patients under 30 years old and increased to 55.3%in patients over 30 years old(P=0.136).CONCLUSION These findings suggest the importance of redefining the natural phases of CHB and using new ALT treatment thresholds for better diagnosis and management of CHB patients in the GZ phases.

文摘BACKGROUND Liver cirrhosis(LC)is a prevalent and severe disease in China.The burden of LC is changing with widespread vaccination of hepatitis B virus(HBV)and antiviral therapy.However,the recent transition in etiologies and clinical features of LC cases requiring hospitalization is unclear.AIM To identify the transition in etiologies and clinical characteristics of hospitalized LC patients in Southern China.METHODS In this retrospective,cross-sectional study we included LC inpatients admitted between January 2001 and December 2020.Medical data indicating etiological diagnosis and LC complications,and demographic,laboratory,and imaging data were collected from our hospital-based dataset.The etiologies of LC were mainly determined according to the discharge diagnosis,and upper gastrointestinal bleeding,ascites,hepatic encephalopathy,spontaneous bacterial peritonitis,hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),portal vein thrombosis,hepatorenal syndrome,and acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)were considered LC-related complications in our study.Changing trends in the etiologies and clinical characteristics were investigated using logistic regression,and temporal trends in proportions of separated years were investigated using the Cochran-Armitage test.In-hospital prognosis and risk factors associated with in-hospital mortality were also invest igated.RESULTS A total of 33143 patients were included in the study[mean(SD)age,51.7(11.9)years],and 82.2%were males.The mean age of the study population increased from 51.0 years in 2001-2010 to 52.0 years in 2011-2020(P<0.001),and the proportion of female patients increased from 16.7%in 2001-2010 to 18.2%in 2011-2020(P=0.003).LC patients in the decompensated stage at diagnosis decreased from 68.1%in 2001-2010 to 64.6%in 2011-2020(P<0.001),and the median score of model for end-stage liver disease also decreased from 14.0 to 11.0(P<0.001).HBV remained the major etiology of LC(75.0%)and the dominant cause of viral hepatitis-LC(94.5%)during the study period.However,the proportion of HBV-LC decreased from 82.4%in 2001-2005 to 74.2%in 2016-2020,and the proportion of viral hepatitis-LC decreased from 85.2%in 2001-2005 to 78.1%in 2016-2020(both P for trend<0.001).Meanwhile,the proportions of LC caused by alcoholic liver disease,autoimmune hepatitis and mixed etiology increased by 2.5%,0.8%and 4.5%,respectively(all P for trend<0.001).In-hospital mortality was stable at 1.0%in 2011-2020,whereas HCC and ACLF manifested the highest increases in prevalence among all LC complications(35.8%to 41.0%and 5.7%to 12.4%,respectively)and were associated with 6-fold and 4-fold increased risks of mortality(odds ratios:6.03 and 4.22,respectively).CONCLUSION LC inpatients have experienced changes in age distribution and etiologies of cirrhosis over the last 20 years in Southern China.HCC and ACLF are associated with the highest risk of in-hospital mortality among LC complications.

文摘The perturbations of low earth orbit(LEO)satellites operating in the orbit of 300~2000 km are complicated.In particular,the atmospheric drag force and solar radiation pressure force change rapidly over a short period of time due to solar activities.Using spaceborne global positioning system(GPS)data of the CHAMP,GRACE and SWARM satellites from 2002 to 2020,this paper studies in depth the influence of solar activity on LEO satellites’precise orbit prediction by performing a series of orbit prediction experiments.The quality of GPS data is more susceptible to being influenced by solar activity during years when this activity is high and the changes in dynamic parameters are consistent with those of solar activity.The effects of solar activity on LEO orbit prediction accuracy are analyzed by comparing the predicted orbits with the precise ones.During years of high solar activity,the average root-mean-squares prediction errors at 10,20,and 30 minutes are 0.15,0.20,and 0.26 m,respectively,which are larger than the corresponding values in low-solar-activity years by 59%,63%,and 68%,respectively.These results demonstrate that solar activity has a great influence on the orbit prediction accuracy,especially during high-solar-activity years.We should strengthen the real-time monitoring of solar activity and geomagnetic activity,and formulate corresponding orbit prediction strategies for the active solar period.

文摘To alleviate the performance deterioration caused by dynamic stall of a wind turbine airfoil,the flow control by a microsecond-pulsed dielectric barrier discharge(MP-DBD) actuator on the dynamic stall of a periodically pitching NACA0012 airfoil was investigated experimentally.Unsteady pressure measurements with high temporal accuracy were employed in this study,and the unsteady characteristics of the boundary layer were investigated by wavelet packet analysis and the moving root mean square method based on the acquired pressure.The experimental Mach number was 0.2,and the chord-based Reynolds number was 870 000.The dimensionless actuation frequencies F+ were chosen to be 0.5,1,2,and 3,respectively.For the light dynamic regime,the MP-DBD plasma actuator plays the role of suppressing flow separation from the trial edge and accelerating the flow reattachment due to the high-momentum freestream flow being entrained into the boundary layer.Meanwhile,actuation effects were promoted with the increasing dimensionless actuation frequency F+.The control effects of the deep dynamic stall were to delay the onset and reduce the strength of the dynamic stall vortex due to the accumulating vorticity near the leading edge being removed by the induced coherent vortex structures.The laminar fluctuation and Kelvin-Helmholtz(K-H) instabilities of transition and relaminarization were also mitigated by the MP-DBD actuation,and the alleviated K-H rolls led to the delay of the transition onset and earlier laminar reattachment,which improved the hysteresis effect of the dynamic stall.For the controlled cases of F+=2,and F+=3,the laminar fluctuation was replaced by relatively low frequency band disturbances corresponding to the harmonic responses of the MP-DBD actuation frequency.

文摘The mushroom growth of IoT has been accompanied by the generation of massive amounts of data.Subject to the limited storage and computing capabilities ofmost IoT devices,a growing number of institutions and organizations outsource their data computing tasks to cloud servers to obtain efficient and accurate computation while avoiding the cost of local data computing.One of the most important challenges facing outsourcing computing is how to ensure the correctness of computation results.Linearly homomorphic proxy signature(LHPS)is a desirable solution to ensure the reliability of outsourcing computing in the case of authorized signing right.Blockchain has the characteristics of tamper-proof and traceability,and is a new technology to solve data security.However,as far as we know,constructions of LHPS have been few and far between.In addition,the existing LHPS scheme does not focus on homomorphic unforgeability and does not use blockchain technology.Herein,we improve the security model of the LHPS scheme,and the usual existential forgery and homomorphic existential forgery of two types of adversaries are considered.Under the new model,we present a blockchain-based LHPS scheme.The security analysis shows that under the adaptive chosen message attack,the unforgeability of the proposed scheme can be reduced to the CDH hard assumption,while achieving the usual and homomorphic existential unforgeability.Moreover,comparedwith the previous LHPS scheme,the performance analysis shows that our scheme has the same key size and comparable computational overhead,but has higher security.
文摘AIM:To describe the clinical characteristics of eyes using multimodal imaging features with acute macular neuroretinopathy(AMN)lesions following severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection.METHODS:Retrospective case series study.From December 18,2022 to February 14,2023,previously healthy cases within 1-week infection with SARS-CoV-2 and examined at Tianjin Eye Hospital to confirm the diagnosis of AMN were included in the study.Totally 5 males and 9 females[mean age:29.93±10.32(16-49)y]were presented for reduced vision,with or without blurred vision.All patients underwent best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),intraocular pressure,slit lamp microscopy,indirect fundoscopy.Simultaneously,multimodal imagings fundus photography(45°or 200°field of view)was performed in 7 cases(14 eyes).Near infrared(NIR)fundus photography was performed in 9 cases(18 eyes),optical coherence tomography(OCT)in 5 cases(10 eyes),optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)in 9 cases(18 eyes),and fundus fluorescence angiography(FFA)in 3 cases(6 eyes).Visual field was performed in 1 case(2 eyes).RESULTS:Multimodal imaging findings data from 14 patients with AMN were reviewed.All eyes demonstrated different extent hyperreflective lesions at the level of the inner nuclear layer and/or outer plexus layer on OCT or OCTA.Fundus photography(45°or 200°field of view)showed irregular hypo-reflective lesion around the fovea in 7 cases(14 eyes).OCTA demonstrated that the superficial retinal capillary plexus(SCP)vascular density,deep capillary plexus(DCP)vascular density and choriocapillaris(CC)vascular density was reduced in 9 case(18 eyes).Among the follow-up cases(2 cases),vascular density increased in 1 case with elevated BCVA;another case has vascular density decrease in one eye and basically unchanged in other eye.En face images of the ellipsoidal zone and interdigitation zone injury showed a low wedge-shaped reflection contour appearance.NIR image mainly show the absence of the outer retinal interdigitation zone in AMN.No abnormal fluorescence was observed in FFA.Corresponding partial defect of the visual field were visualized via perimeter in one case.CONCLUSION:The morbidity of SARS-CoV-2 infection with AMN is increased.Ophthalmologists should be aware of the possible,albeit rare,AMN after SARS-CoV-2 infection and focus on multimodal imaging features.OCT,OCTA,and infrared fundus phase are proved to be valuable tools for detection of AMN in patients with SARS-CoV-2.

文摘AIM:To investigate the association of ganglion cell complex thickness(GCCt),global loss volume percentage(GLV%),and focal loss volume percentage(FLV%)with structural and functional findings among patients with chronic central serous chorioretinopathy(CCSC)and recurrent central serous chorioretinopathy(RCSC)by optical coherence tomography(OCT).METHODS:Among 29 patients with monocular affected central serous chorioretinopathy(CSC),15 had CCSC,and 14 had RCSC.The GCCt,FLV%,GLV%,and subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT)and sublesional choroidal thickness(SLCT)values were determined using OCT,and the association of these characteristics with neural structure parameters,choroidal morphology,features and functional alterations were estimated for the CCSC and RCSC patients.RESULTS:In CCSC,the affected eyes had significantly lower GCCt values than the fellow eyes in the macular regions(all P<0.05),with the highest GCCt observed in the inferior area.A significant association was found between the GCCt in different regions and the change in best corrected visual acuity(BCVA;r=-0.696;-0.695;-0.694,P<0.05)in CCSC patients.A statistically significant moderate negative correlation indicated that long-term CCSC was associated with greater differences in the GCCt in different regions between affected and fellow eyes(r=-0.562;r=-0.556;r=0.525,P<0.05).Additionally,observation of thickened SFCT was associated with a worse FLV%(r=0.599;r=0.546,P<0.05)in both groups.Similarly,thickened SLCT was associated with FLV%in RCSC patients(r=0.544,P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The distribution and GCCt are associated with the duration and visual outcomes of CCSC,whereas there is no correlation among RCSC patients.FLV%may be instrumental in differentiating the various outer choroidal vessels(pachyvessels)in long-term CSC.These results suggest that neural structure parameters may aid in estimating and predicting the recovery of altered morphology and function in CCSC and RCSC patients.

文摘The skeleton is a highly innervated organ in which nerve fibers interact with various skeletal cells.Peripheral nerve endings release neurogenic factors and sense skeletal signals,which mediate bone metabolism and skeletal pain.In recent years,bone tissue engineering has increasingly focused on the effects of the nervous system on bone regeneration.Simultaneous regeneration of bone and nerves through the use of materials or by the enhancement of endogenous neurogenic repair signals has been proven to promote functional bone regeneration.Additionally,emerging information on the mechanisms of skeletal interoception and the central nervous system regulation of bone homeostasis provide an opportunity for advancing biomaterials.However,comprehensive reviews of this topic are lacking.Therefore,this review provides an overview of the relationship between nerves and bone regeneration,focusing on tissue engineering applications.We discuss novel regulatory mechanisms and explore innovative approaches based on nerve–bone interactions for bone regeneration.Finally,the challenges and future prospects of this field are briefly discussed.
