Metamorphism of the northern Liaoning Complex:Implications for the tectonic evolution of Neoarchean basement of the Eastern Block,North China Craton 被引量:14

As one of the areas where typical late Archean crust is exposed in the Eastern Block of the North China Craton,the northern Laioning Complex consists principally of tonalitic-trondhjemitic-granodioritic(TTG) gneisses,massive granitoids and supracrustal rocks.The supracrustal rocks,named the Qingyuan Group, consist of interbedded amphibolite,hornblende granulite,biotite granulite and B1F.Petrological evidence indicates that the amphibolites experienced the early prograde(M1),peak(M2) and post-peak(M3) metamorphism.The early prograde assemblage(M1) is preserved as mineral inclusions,represented by actinotite + hornblende + plagioclase + epidote + quartz + sphene,within garnet porphyroblasts.The peak assemblage(M2) is indicated by garnet + clinopyroxene + hornblende + plagioclase + quartz + ilmenite, which occur as major mineral phases in the rock.The post-peak assemblage(M3) is characterized by the garnet + quartz symplectite.The P—T pseudosections in the NCFMASHTO system constructed by using THERMOCALC define the P-T conditions of Ml,M2 and M3 at 490-550℃/<4.5 kbar,780-810℃/7.65- 8.40 kbar and 630-670℃/8.15-9.40 kbar,respectively.As a result,an anticlockwise P-T path involving isobaric cooling is inferred for the metamorphic evolution of the amphibolites.Such a P-T path suggests that the late Archean metamorphism of the northern Liaoning Complex was related to the intrusion and underplating of mantle-derived magmas.The underplating of voluminous mantle-derived magmas leading to metamorphism with an anticlockwise P-T path involving isobaric cooling may have occurred in continental magmatic arc regions,above hot spots driven by mantle plumes,or in continental rift environments. A mantle plume model is favored because this model can reasonably interpret many other geological features of late Archean basement rocks from the northern Liaoning Complex in the Eastern Block of the North China Craton as well as their anticlockwise P—T paths involving isobaric cooling. 展开更多

Epoxy resin powder coating has been successfully applied on the corrosion protection of magnesium lithium alloys.However,poor wear resistance and microcracks formed during the solidification have limited it extensive application.There are limited approaches to exploit such anti-corrosion and mechanical properties of magnesium lithium alloys.Herein,the epoxy resin powder coating with polydopamine modified molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2)@PDA-EP powder coating with 0,0.1,0.2,0.5,1.0 wt.%loading)was well prepared by melt extrusion to investigate its anticorrosion performance and wear resistance.The results revealed that the addition of MoS_(2)@PDA enhanced the adhesion strength between coatings and alloys,wear resistance and corrosion protection of the powder coatings.Among them,the optimum was obtained by 0.2 wt.%MoS_(2)@PDA-EP powder coating which could be attributed to well dispersion and efficient adhesion with coating matrix.To conclude,MoS_(2)@PDA-EP powder coating is meaningfully beneficial for the anticorrosive and wear performance improvement of magnesium lithium alloys. 展开更多

建立于20世纪60年代并被誉为地球科学史上一场革命的板块构造理论能圆满地解释显生宙至元古宙几乎所有地质现象、过程和事件,但却无法解释太古宙大陆克拉通基本特征,包括绿岩带内高温(~1600°C)科马提岩的成因和缺乏岩浆弧安山岩的... 建立于20世纪60年代并被誉为地球科学史上一场革命的板块构造理论能圆满地解释显生宙至元古宙几乎所有地质现象、过程和事件,但却无法解释太古宙大陆克拉通基本特征,包括绿岩带内高温(~1600°C)科马提岩的成因和缺乏岩浆弧安山岩的双峰式火山岩组合,占太古宙陆壳总面积70%以上、几乎同时侵位的英云闪长岩-奥长花岗岩-花岗闪长岩岩石成因,反映垂向运动的片麻岩穹窿构造样式,缺失典型的蛇绿岩、蓝片岩、榴辉岩和双变质带等板块构造特征标志.所有这些都说明,太古宙大陆可能不是起源于板块构造体制,而是起源于某种前板块构造体制,但目前已提出的前板块构造模式(如地幔柱构造、重力凹沉构造、热管构造、滞留盖构造等)同样皆不能圆满解释太古宙大陆的岩石组合、构造样式和变质作用演化等特征.正因如此,目前世界各国有若干研究团队正在攻克这一科学难题.我国学者虽无缘参与20世纪60年代板块构造理论的创立,但在过去40年里,在早期地球动力学体制和大陆起源与演化方面开展了大量工作,并取得令人瞩目的研究成果,积累了大量资料数据,有望在构建前板块构造理论方面率先取得突破. 展开更多

The construction of highly active catalysts for methanol oxidation reaction(MOR)is central to direct methanol fuel cells.Tremendous progress has been made in transition metal phosphides(TMPs)based catalysts.However,TMPs would be partially damaged and transformed into new substances(e.g.,Pt-M-P composite,where M represents a second transition metal)during Pt deposition process.This would pose a large obstacle to the cognition of the real promoting effects of TMPs in MOR.Herein,Co_(2)P co-catalysts(Pt-P/Co_(2)P@NPC,where NPC stands for N and P co-doped carbon)and Pt-Co-P composite catalysts(Pt-CoP/NPC)were controllably synthesized.Electrocatalysis tests show that the Pt-Co-P/NPC exhibits superior MOR activity as high as 1016 m A/mg_(Pt),significantly exceeding that of Pt-P/Co_(2)P@NPC(345 m A/mg_(Pt)).This result indicates that the promoting effect is ascribed primarily to the resultant Pt-Co-P composite,in sharply contrast to previous viewpoint that Co_(2)P itself improves the activity.Further mechanistic studies reveal that Pt-Co-P/NPC exhibits much stronger electron interaction and thus manifesting a remarkably weaker CO absorption than Pt-P/Co_(2)P@NPC and Pt/C.Moreover,Pt-Co-P is also more capable of producing oxygen-containing adsorbate and thus accelerating the removal of surface-bonded CO^(*),ultimately boosting the MOR performance. 展开更多

Ultrahigh-temperature(UHT)metamorphism represents an extreme crustal thermal event with peak conditions exceeding 900C at 7–13 kbar.In the modern-style plate tectonic system,records of the UHT metamorphism are relatively rare due to the secular cooling of Earth.In the Palu region of Western Sulawesi,we newly discovered a series of HT-UHT metamorphic rocks including amphibolite,granulite,eclogites and gneiss.Of them,two granulite samples(18CS14-2,18CS14-4)with high garnet content(>50 mol%)are chosen for petrographic observation,phase equilibrium modelling,and zircon U-Pb dating.These rocks are characterized by a relic M1 assemblage of Grt+Ky+Bt+Rt and a M2 assemblage of Grt+Sil+Pl+Spl+Crd±Qtz+Ilm+melt.Phase equilibrium modelling based on effective bulk compositions yields UHT conditions of 7.2–8.5 kbar/940–1080C(18CS14-2)and 7.0–7.3 kbar/1000–1040C(18CS14-4).U-Pb analysis reveals two generations of metamorphic zircon with evolving REE content that is intimately related to garnet growth and decomposition.Zircon age of 36–5.3 Ma is ascribed to syn-to post-M1 metamorphism,whereas the young zircon age of 5.1–3.8 Ma is linked to syn-and post-M2 stage.The UHT metamorphism was probably the consequence of the upwelling of asthenospheric mantle triggered by post-collisional delamination of lithosphere in the MiocenePliocene(ca.5 Ma).It could represent the youngest known UHT metamorphism on Earth. 展开更多

Humans use STM to remember a small amount of information, like someone's phone number, for a short period of time. Usually the duration of STM is less than 1 minute. Synapses, the connections between neurons, are of vital importance to memory in biological brains. For mimicking the memory function of synapses, Carbon Nanotube(CNT) networks based thinfilm transistors with Electric Double Layers(EDL) at the dielectric/channel interface were researched in this work.A response characteristic of pre-synaptic potential pulses on the gate electrode of this CNT synaptic transistor was shown remarkably similar to Excitatory Post-Synaptic Current(EPSC) of biological synapses. Also a multi-level modulatable STM of CNT synaptic transistors was investigated. Post-synaptic current was shown with tunable peak values, on-off ratio, and relaxation time. 展开更多
