Globally,about 70% of cervical cancers are associated with human papillomavirus (HPV)-16 or HPV-18 infection.A meta-analysis of epidemiologic studies in China showed that HPV was present in 98% of cervical cancer samp...Globally,about 70% of cervical cancers are associated with human papillomavirus (HPV)-16 or HPV-18 infection.A meta-analysis of epidemiologic studies in China showed that HPV was present in 98% of cervical cancer samples.The HPV-16/18 AS04-adjuvanted vaccine Cervarix has shown a high level of protection against HPV-16/18 infections and associated cervical lesions.This phase Ⅰ trial (NCT00549900) assessed the safety,tolerability,and immunogenicity of the vaccine in Chinese.Thirty healthy Chinese females,aged 15 to 45 years with a median age of 29.5 years,received three doses of Cervarix in Months 0,1,and 6.Safety was assessed via recording solicited local and systemic symptoms within 7 days and unsolicited symptoms within 30 days after each vaccination.Serious adverse events,new onset of chronic diseases,and other medically significant conditions were recorded throughout this trial.As an exploratory objective,HPV-16/18 antibody titers were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in serum samples collected in Months 0 and 7.Pain at the injection site was the most frequently reported local symptom.Two subjects reported medically significant adverse events.Both cases were assessed as unrelated to vaccination by the investigator.In Month 7,100% seroconversion was observed for both anti-HPV-16 and anti-HPV-18 with high geometric mean antibody titers.HPV-16/18 AS04-adjuvanted vaccine,evaluated for the first time in Chinese females,was generally well tolerated and immunogenic,as previously shown in global studies.展开更多
The application of artificial intelligence(AI)technology in the medical field has experienced a long history of development.In turn,some long-standing points and challenges in the medical field have also prompted dive...The application of artificial intelligence(AI)technology in the medical field has experienced a long history of development.In turn,some long-standing points and challenges in the medical field have also prompted diverse research teams to continue to explore AI in depth.With the development of advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things(IoT),cloud computing,big data,and 5G mobile networks,AI technology has been more widely adopted in the medical field.In addition,the in-depth integration of AI and IoT technology enables the gradual improvement of medical diagnosis and treatment capabilities so as to provide services to the public in a more effective way.In this work,we examine the technical basis of IoT,cloud computing,big data analysis and machine learning involved in clinical medicine,combined with concepts of specific algorithms such as activity recognition,behavior recognition,anomaly detection,assistant decision-making system,to describe the scenario-based applications of remote diagnosis and treatment collaboration,neonatal intensive care unit,cardiology intensive care unit,emergency first aid,venous thromboembolism,monitoring nursing,image-assisted diagnosis,etc.We also systematically summarize the application of AI and IoT in clinical medicine,analyze the main challenges thereof,and comment on the trends and future developments in this field.展开更多
With the increasing importance of computer intelligence in the new round of the industrial revolution,administrative,regulatory,or design(ARD)green technology contributes to improving national technological competitiv...With the increasing importance of computer intelligence in the new round of the industrial revolution,administrative,regulatory,or design(ARD)green technology contributes to improving national technological competitiveness and promoting the transformation of green technology,which is becoming an important field under sustainable development goals.The U.S.and China ranked top two in terms of paper influence and patent applications in the field of ARD green technology.However,few comparative studies have been conducted in these two countries.This study presents the evolution and landscapes of ARD green technology between China and the U.S.,focusing on comparing development priorities and technical layouts in each five-year plan period.According to the“International Patent Classification(IPC)Green Inventory”launched by the World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO),we retrieved 69,412 patents published between 2001 and 2020 from the PatSnap database.Descriptive,content,and thematic network analyses were conducted using latent dirichlet allocation(LDA)and community detection algorithms.The results show that both China and the U.S.strategically focus on ARD green technology development.The technical topics in this field can be divided into three themes:data processing systems,traffic control systems,and building designs.The emphasis on technology research and development(R&D)differs between China and the U.S.There is also evidence that the U.S.has advantages in terms of technological innovation and capabilities.However,China has an advantage in terms of data volume,and the gap between China and the U.S.is gradually narrowing.We also highlight the contributions and limitations of this study.展开更多
