Lead-free inorganic copper-silver-bismuth-halide materials have attracted more and more attention due to their environmental friendliness,high element abundance,and low cost.Here,we developed a strategy of one-step gas-solid-phase diffusioninduced reaction to fabricate a series of bandgap-tunable Cu_(a)Agm_(1)Bim_(2)I_(n)/CuI bilayer films due to the atomic diffusion effect for the first time.By designing and regulating the sputtered Cu/Ag/Bi metal film thickness,the bandgap of Cu_(a)Agm_(1)Bim_(2)I_(n)/CuI could be reduced from 2.06 to 1.78 eV.Solar cells with the structure of FTO/TiO_(2)/Cu_(a)Agm_(1)Bim_(2)I_(n)/CuI/carbon were constructed,yielding a champion power conversion efficiency of 2.76%,which is the highest reported for this class of materials owing to the bandgap reduction and the peculiar bilayer structure.The current work provides a practical path for developing the next generation of efficient,stable,and environmentally friendly photovoltaic materials. 展开更多

One-dimensional(1-D) nanomaterials with superior specific capacity, higher rate capability, better cycling peroperties have demonstrated significant advantages for high-performance Li-ion batteries and supercapacitors. This review describes some recent developments on the rechargeable electrodes by using 1-D nanomaterials(such as Li Mn2O4 nanowires, carbon nanofibers, Ni Mo O4 · n H2O nanorods, V2O5 nanoribbons,carbon nanotubes, etc.). New preparation methods and superior electrochemical properties of the 1-D nanomaterials including carbon nanotube(CNT), some oxides, transition metal compounds and polymers, and their composites are emphatically introduced. The VGCF/Li Fe PO4/C triaxial nanowire cathodes for Li-ion battery present a positive cycling performance without any degradation in almost theoretical capacity(160 m Ah/g).The Si nanowire anodes for Li-ion battery show the highest known theoretical charge capacity(4277 m Ah/g),that is about 11 times lager than that of the commercial graphite(372 m Ah/g). The SWCNT/Ni foam electrodes for supercapacitor display small equivalent series resistance(ESR, 52 m?) and impressive high power density(20 k W/kg). The advantages and challenges associated with the application of these materials for energy conversion and storage devices are highlighted. 展开更多

With the advent of cross-domain interconnection,large-scale sensor network systems such as smart grids,smart homes,and intelligent transportation have emerged.These complex network systems often have a CPS(Cyber-Physical System)architecture and are usually composed of multiple interdependent systems.Minimal faults between interdependent networks may cause serious cascading failures between the entire system.Therefore,in this paper,we will explore the robustness detection schemes for interdependent networks.Firstly,by calculating the largest giant connected component in the entire system,the security of interdependent network systems under different attack models is analyzed.Secondly,a comparative analysis of the cascade failure mechanism between interdependent networks under the edge enhancement strategy is carried out.Finally,the simulation results verify the impact of system reliability under different handover edge strategies and show how to choose a better handover strategy to enhance its robustness.The further research work in this paper can also help design how to reduce the interdependence between systems,thereby further optimizing the interdependent network system’s structure to provide practical support for reducing the cascading failures.In the later work,we hope to explore our proposed strategies in the network model of real-world or close to real networks. 展开更多

The effects of extraction temperature,time,ultrasonic power,solid-liquid ratio on polysaccharides yield were investigated by single-factor experiment and orthogonal experiment to obtain optimum extraction conditions; the antioxidant activities of lychee pericarp polysaccharides were evaluated by the total antioxidant activity. Optimum extraction process was under extraction temperature of 80 ℃,extraction time of 2. 5 h,ultrasonic power of 180 W,solid-liquid ratio of 1∶ 25 g / m L; the total antioxidant activity was increased with the increasing concentration of polysaccharides. The extraction process is simple and efficient. The extraction rate of lychee pericarp polysaccharides with antioxidant activities is high. 展开更多

Environmental Sustainability of Water Footprint in China' Mainland 被引量:1

Water footprint(WF)measures human appropriation of water resources for consumptive use of surface and ground water(blue WF)and soil water(green WF)and for assimilating polluted water(grey WF).Questions have been often asked about the exact meaning behind the numbers from WF accounting.However,to date environmental sustainability of WF has never been assessed at the sub-national level over time.This study evaluated the environmental sustainability of blue,green and grey WF for China’s 31 mainland provinces in 2002,2007 and 2012,and identified the unsustainable hotspots.Overall,the total WF increased by 30%between 2002 and 2012.The growth can be attributed to the increase of grey WF because the green and blue WF showed only a slight rise.Among all provinces investigated in 2012,eleven showed unsustainable blue WF(sustainability index SI<0),which were mainly located in the North China Plain.There were 12 provinces that displayed unsustainable green WF,and they were distributed in China’s southern and southeastern areas.The grey WF was not sustainable in approximately two third of provinces(19),which were mainly located in China’s middle and northern regions and Guangdong province.More than half of China’s provinces showed trends of improved SI of green and blue WF from 2002 to 2012.However,the SI of grey WF decreased in almost two third of provinces.Poor levels of WF sustainability were due to water scarcity and pollution,which intensify the degradation of local rivers and ecosystems and make restoration more difficult.The results shed light on the policy making needed to improve sustainable water management,and ecological restoration of hotspot regions. 展开更多

Objective:To determine the effect of Salvianolic acid B (Sal B) on glucose and lipid metabolism in mice with high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity,and to investigate the underlying mechanisms by measuring the expression levels of key adipogenic transcription factors.Methods:Six-week-old C57BL/6J male mice were fed for 12 weeks with a HFD to induce obesity or a standard diet to serve as normal controls.A mean body weight increase of more than 20% after these 12 weeks was used as the criteria for obesity.HFD-fed obese mice then received a supplement of Sal B (100 mg/kg body weight/day),metformin (75 mg/kg body weight/day) or water (an equivalent volume;served as model controls) by oral gavage for an additional 8 weeks,and the normal controls received water (an equivalent volume) by oral gavage for the same period.Results:Sal B significantly reduced body weight gain (P <.05) without influencing food intake in HFD-fed obese mice relative to model controls.Sal B also reduced the body fat mass of the obese mice relative to model controls in a time-dependent manner (P <.05).Sal B significantly decreased the serum concentrations of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,total cholesterol,triglyceride and free fatty acids by 25.5%,20.2%,20.6% and 13.4%,respectively,and increased the concentration of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol by 50.1% relative to model controls.In addition,Sal B significantly lowered fasting glucose concentrations and improved insulin sensitivity relative to model controls (P <.05).Sal B acted by ameliorating the histopathological changes in both brown and white adipose tissues of obese mice.Moreover,in brown adipose tissue,Sal B up-regulated the mRNA and protein expression of PPARγ and c/EBPα,and the protein expression of PPARα and SREBP-1 (P <.05).In white adipose tissue,Sal B down-regulated the mRNA expression of PPARγ and c/EBPα,and decreased the protein expression of PPARγ and SREBP-1(P <.05).Conclusjons:The results suggest that Sal B can reduce body weight gain and regulate glucose and lipid metabolism in mice with diet-induced obesity by regulating adipogenic transcription factors in their adipose tissues. 展开更多

Based on the wide application of cloud computing and wireless sensor networks in various fields,the Sensor-Cloud System(SCS)plays an indispensable role between the physical world and the network world.However,due to the close connection and interdependence between the physical resource network and computing resource network,there are security problems such as cascading failures between systems in the SCS.In this paper,we propose a model with two interdependent networks to represent a sensor-cloud system.Besides,based on the percolation theory,we have carried out a formulaic theoretical analysis of the whole process of cascading failure.When the system’s subnetwork presents a steady state where there is no further collapse,we can obtain the largest remaining connected subgroup components and the penetration threshold.Theoretically,this result is the critical maximum that the coupled SCS can withstand.To verify the correctness of the theoretical results,we further carried out actual simulation experiments.The results show that a scale-free network priority attack’s percolation threshold is always less than that of ER network which is priority attacked.Similarly,when the scale-free network is attacked first,adding the power law exponentλcan be more intuitive and more effective to improve the network’s reliability. 展开更多

Objective: We aimed to observe the effects of loganin(Log) on serum glycolipid levels and probe the mechanisms focusing on intestinal flora and AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK) signaling in obese mice.Methods: A high-fat diet was given for 12 consecutive weeks to generate the obesity model in institute of cancer research(ICR) mice. Body weight was measured weekly and fasting blood glucose(FBG) was determined every 2 weeks. Both the oral glucose tolerance test and the intraperitoneal insulin tolerance test were performed. The serum levels of total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride, high-density lipoproteincholesterol, low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C), and free fatty acids(FFA) were measured. The expression of key proteins in the AMPK signaling pathway in skeletal muscle tissue was detected by immunoblotting, and gut microbiota were characterized using 16S rDNA sequencing.Results: Log significantly decreased the body weight and the FBG in obese mice(P <.05), and it could restore FBG to normal levels. The total cholesterol, LDL-C, and FFA levels were significantly reduced by Log compared with the obese controls(TC: P =.0020;LDL-C: P =.0233;FFA: P =.0127), and the glucose tolerance of animals was significantly improved(P =.0477). The western blot results showed that Log could upregulate the protein expression of Adenosine 5‘-monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPKa), Sirtuin 1(SIRT1), and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma coactivator-1 alpha(PGC1a) in skeletal muscle tissue of obese mice. 16S rDNA sequencing indicated that Log reduced the diversity of the gut flora in feces and altered the floral composition of obese mice.Conclusions: Log was effective in reducing body weight and improving glucolipid metabolism in obese mice, probably through activating AMPK signaling and regulating intestinal microbial diversity. 展开更多

Quantification of the impact of environmental factors on chlorophyll in the open ocean

Many previous studies of the impact of oceanic environmental factors on chlorophyll(CHL)in a specific region focused on sea surface temperature(SST),mixed-layer depth(MLD),or wind stress(WS)alone.In this study,relationship between CHL and all those environmental factors(SST,MLD,and WS)in the open ocean was quantified for five regions within the subtropical gyres and the variation trend of 13-year(2003–2015)was analyzed using satellite observations and Argo measurements.The correlation analysis results show that MLD was correlated positively with CHL,SST was correlated negatively with CHL,and the correlation between CHL and WS was either positive or negative.Based on the significance of the correlations,models representing the relationships were established using the multiple linear regression and analyzed,showing that the environmental factors were the major determinants of CHL change.The regression coefficients show that both SST and MLD have remarkable effect on CHL.Our derived models could be used to diagnose the past changes,understand present variability,and predict the future state of CHL changes based on environmental factors,and help us understand the dynamics of CHL variation in the open ocean. 展开更多

Lead-free double perovskite Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6) has gained increasing attention recently.However,the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6) perovskite solar cells(PSCs)is still low compared with their lead-based counterparts.Here,by using photoluminescence(PL),time-resolved photoluminescence(TRPL),and ultrafast transient absorption(TA)measurements,the unbalance between the electron and hole in diffusion and transfer,which limits the performance of the Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6) PSCs,was further revealed.Considering this issue,a strategy of using the mesoporous TiO_(2) electron transport layer(ETL)to construct a bulk heterojunction in Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6) PSCs was proposed.Consequently,the PCE had improved by over 24%comparing with that only used compact TiO_(2) ETL.Moreover,based on mesoporous TiO_(2),the unencapsulated Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6) PSCs maintained 90%of their initial performance after approximately 1200 h of storage in a desiccator(humidity~30%).This work gives further understanding of Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6) perovskite and demonstrates that a proper design of balancing the electron and hole diffusion can improve device performance. 展开更多

Objective:To determine the effects of ginsenoside rg3 on the body weight of C57BL/6J obese mice and to investigate its underlying weight loss mechanisms with a focus on white fat browning-related factors.Methods:Eight-week-old C57BL/6J male mice were fed a high-fat diet for 12 successive weeks to construct the obese model.C57BL/6J male mice were fed a standard chow diet to construct normal control group.After 8 weeks of intervention with ginsenoside rg3,the food intake,body weight,body fat mass,blood sugar,and lipid profiles of the mice in each group were detected.Hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining was used to observe the histological morphology of the adipose tissues.Real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and Western blotting(WB)were applied to detect the gene and protein expression levels of peroxisome proliferators-activated receptor gama(PPARg),Peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor-gamma coactivator-1alpha(PGC-1a),PR domain containing 16(PRDM16),and uncoupling protein 1(UCP-1).Results:Compared to normal control group mice,the body weight,food intake,body fat composition,and blood lipid levels of model group mice increased significantly.After 8 weeks of intervention with ginsenoside rg3,body weight,body fat composition,food intake,and blood lipid profiles decreased.HE staining showed that ginsenoside rg3 can improve white adipocyte hypertrophy to a certain extent.RTPCR and WB demonstrated that ginsenoside rg3 can increase the mRNA and protein expression levels of PPARg,PGC-1a,PRDM16,and UCP-1 in the adipose tissues of obese mice.Conclusion:The weight reduction effect of ginsenoside rg3 may be related to the promotion of white fat browning. 展开更多

In order to reveal the phenomenon of R. rugose pollination incompatibility, the full-length cDNA sequence of S Locus F-box Gene was cloned for the first time from the pollen of Rosa rugose “Zilong wochi” with RT-PCR and RACE methods and named as RrSLF. The full-length cDNA is 1236 bp with an open reading frame of 1122 bp, encoding 343 amino acids. The derived protein has a molecular weight of 43.7 kD, a calculated pI of 6.24, an F-box conserved domain at position 343 - 741, and belongs to F-box family. The derived protein is a Hydrophobicity protein secreted into the cytoplasm. There is no transmembrane domain and no signal peptide cleavage site, twenty-one Ser phosphorylation sites, seven Thr phosphorylation sites, seven Tyr phosphorylation sites, two N-glycosylation sites, and no O-glycosylation sites. There are 22.25% α-helixes, 31.37% random coil, 32.17% extended peptide chain, and 14.21% β-corner structure. This protein and the SFB/SLF protein from Rosaceae Prunus fruit, including Prunus speciose, share a sequence homology of 59% - 61%;all of the proteins contain an F-box conserved domain, two hypervariable regions HVa, HVb, and two variable regions V1, V2. Furthermore, their phylogenetic relationships are consistent with their traditional classifications. These results were meaningful to reveal the molecular mechanism of Rosa rugose pollination incompatibility and improve the theory and techniques of breeding ornamental Rosa rugose. 展开更多

In order to find a method to break dormancy of Rosa rugose seeds and interspecific hybrid seeds between Rosa rugose and Rosa hybrid quickly, and accelerate the breeding process of interspecific hybridization between Rosa rugose and Rosa hybrid, the influence of concentrated acid, seed maturity, GA3 (gibberellin) and low temperature (4°C) on seed germination of Rosa rugose from Muping was researched under aseptic condition. The results showed that aseptic germination can significantly shorten the germination time of Rosa rugose seeds and raise its germination ratio. Before inoculation, concentrated acid treatment greatly increased the germination rate and reduced the contamination rate of the seeds. The higher the degree of maturity of seeds is, the lower the germination rate would be, and the best time for seed to aseptic germination is 60 d after pollination. The addition of GA3 in 1/2MS medium could promote seeds germination better, and when the concentration of GA3 was 0.15 mg/L, the seed germination ratio was the highest;the germination time decreased and the seed germination ratio increased gradually as the treatment time at 4°C lasted longer. 展开更多

In order to determine if the TFL1 is related with the continuous flowering phenotype of wild Rosa rugosa from Muping, the full-length cDNA sequence of TFL1 Gene was cloned for the first time from the flower buds of wild Rosa rugosafrom Muping with RT-PCR and RACE methods and named as RrTFL1. The full-length cDNA is 973 bp with an open reading frame of 519 bp, encoding 172 amino acids. The derived protein has a molecular weight of 19.48 kD, a calculated pI of 9.13, a c100227 conserved domain at position 1-172, and belongs to PEBP family. The derived protein is a Hydrophilic protein secreted into the cytoplasmic. There is no transmembrane domain and no signal peptide cleavage site, five Ser phosphorylation sites, seven Thr phosphorylation sites, three Tyr phosphorylation sites, one O-glycosylation site, and no N-glycosylation sites. There are 24.42% α-helixes, 36.63% random coil, 27.91% extended peptide chain, and 11.05% β-corner structure. This protein and the TFL1 protein from Rosaceae plants, including Rosa chinensis, share a sequence homology of 87% - 96%. All of the proteins contain a c100227 conserved domain, two highly conserved modules D-P-D-x-P, G-x-H-R, and two functional sites His, Asp. Furthermore, their phylogenetic relationships are consistent with their traditional classifications. These results not only laid a foundation for further researching the expression and function of RrTFL1, but also cultivating new varieties of R. rugosawhich can flower continuously by gene engineering. 展开更多

Cross-kingdom herbal mi RNA was first reported in 2012.Using a modified herbal extraction protocol,we obtained 73,677,287sequences by RNA-seq from 245 traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),of which 20,758,257 were unique sequences.We constructed a Bencao(herbal)small RNA(s RNA)Atlas(http://bencao.bmicc.cn),annotated the sequences by sequence-based clustering,and created a nomenclature system for Bencao s RNAs.The profiles of 21,757 mi RNAs in the Atlas were highly consistent with those of plant mi RNAs in mi RBase.Using software tools,our results demonstrated that all human genes might be regulated by s RNAs from the Bencao s RNA Atlas,part of the predicted human target genes were experimentally validated,suggesting that Bencao s RNAs might be one of the main bioactive components of herbal medicines.We established roadmaps for oligonucleotide drugs development and optimization of TCM prescriptions.Moreover,the decoctosome,a lipo-nano particle consisting of 0.5%–2.5%of the decoction,demonstrated potent medical effects.We propose a Bencao(herbal)Index,including small-molecule compounds(SM),protein peptides(P),nucleic acid(N),non-nucleic and non-proteinogenic large-molecule compounds(LM)and elements from Mendeleev's periodic table(E),to quantitatively measure the medical effects of botanic medicine.The Bencao s RNA Atlas is a resource for developing gene-targeting oligonucleotide drugs and optimizing botanical medicine,and may provide potential remedies for the theory and practice of one medicine. 展开更多

Multivalent vaccines combining crucial mutations from phylogenetically divergent variants could be an effective approach to defend against existing and future SARS-Co V-2 variants.In this study,we developed a tetravalent COVID-19 vaccine SCTV01E,based on the trimeric Spike protein of SARS-Co V-2 variants Alpha,Beta,Delta,and Omicron BA.1,with a squalenebased oil-in-water adjuvant SCT-VA02B.In the immunogenicity studies in na?ve BALB/c and C57BL/6J mice,SCTV01E exhibited the most favorable immunogenic characteristics to induce balanced and broad-spectrum neutralizing potencies against pre-Omicron variants(D614G,Alpha,Beta,and Delta)and newly emerging Omicron subvariants(BA.1,BA.1.1,BA.2,BA.3,and BA.4/5).Booster studies in C57BL/6J mice previously immunized with D614G monovalent vaccine demonstrated superior neutralizing capacities of SCTV01E against Omicron subvariants,compared with the D614G booster regimen.Furthermore,SCTV01E vaccination elicited na?ve and central memory T cell responses to SARS-Co V-2 ancestral strain and Omicron spike peptides.Together,our comprehensive immunogenicity evaluation results indicate that SCTV01E could become an important COVID-19 vaccine platform to combat surging infections caused by the highly immune evasive BA.4/5 variants.SCTV01E is currently being studied in a head-to-head immunogenicity comparison phase 3 clinical study with inactivated and m RNA vaccines(NCT05323461). 展开更多

The global COVID-19 pandemic emerged at the end of December 2019.Acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)and acute lung injury(ALI)are common lethal outcomes of bacterial lipopolysaccharide(LPS),avian influenza virus,and SARS-Co V-2.Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)is a key target in the pathological pathway of ARDS and ALI.Previous studies have reported that herbal small RNAs(s RNAs)are a functional medical component.BZL-s RNA-20(Accession number:B59471456;Family ID:F2201.Q001979.B11)is a potent inhibitor of Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)and pro-inflammatory cytokines.Furthermore,BZLs RNA-20 reduces intracellular levels of cytokines induced by lipoteichoic acid(LTA)and polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid(poly(I:C)).We found that BZL-s RNA-20 rescued the viability of cells infected with avian influenza H5N1,SARS-Co V-2,and several of its variants of concern(VOCs).Acute lung injury induced by LPS and SARS-Co V-2 in mice was significantly ameliorated by the oral medical decoctosome mimic(bencaosome;sphinganine(d22:0)+BZL-s RNA-20).Our findings suggest that BZLs RNA-20 could be a pan-anti-ARDS/ALI drug. 展开更多

中国城市在全球碳减排中扮演着核心角色,然而中国城市间巨大的经济发展差异深刻影响了中国城市减排的进程.城际供应链连接了城市的生产和消费,被认为是塑造地区分化和减排疲软的因素之一,但该效应在先前的研究中往往没有得到充分的考虑... 中国城市在全球碳减排中扮演着核心角色,然而中国城市间巨大的经济发展差异深刻影响了中国城市减排的进程.城际供应链连接了城市的生产和消费,被认为是塑造地区分化和减排疲软的因素之一,但该效应在先前的研究中往往没有得到充分的考虑.本文对2012年中国309个城市的供应链进行建模.利用该模型,我们揭示了城市间存在显著的碳不平等:中国最富裕的10个城市的人均碳足迹相当于美国的水平,而中国一半的城市则低于全球平均水平.然而,这种显著的碳不平等也蕴含着新的减排机遇,即对32个超高排放城市,根据其富裕程度、产业结构和供应链的位置采取不同的减排策略,将可创造高达1.4亿吨的碳配额,距离碳达峰值增加了30%的空间.额外的碳配额足够使经济发展欠发达人口的平均生活水平达到中上收入水平,突出了城市层面的合作机制具有促进公平和减排目标收敛的巨大潜力. 展开更多
