A dilemma is that despite the high activity and efficiency expected for hydrogenases as promising catalysts for the hydrogen economy, the poor oxygen tolerance and low yield of hydrogenases largely hinder their practical application. In these years, the enigmas surrounding hydrogenases regarding their structures, oxygen tolerance, mechanisms for catalysis, redox intermediates, and proton-coupled electron transfer schemes have been gradually elucidated;the schemes, which can well couple hydrogenases with other highly efficient(in)organic and biological catalysts to build novel reactors and drive valuable reactions, make it possible for hydrogenases to find their niches. To see how scientists put efforts to tackle this issue and design novel reactors in the fields where hydrogenases play crucial roles, in this review, recent advances were summarized, including different strategies for protecting enzyme molecules from oxygen, enzyme-based assembling systems for H_(2) evolution in the photoelectronic catalysis, enzymatic biofuel cells for H_(2) utilization and storage and the efficient electricity-hydrogen-carbohydrate cycle for high-purity hydrogen and biofuel automobiles. Limitations and future perspectives of hydrogenasebased applications in H_(2) production and utilization with great impact are discussed. In addition, this review also provides a new perspective on the use of biohydrogen in healthcare beyond energy.展开更多

Diagnostic information for NCMS claims was evaluated on an individual level, and sensitivity and positive predictive value(PPV) were calculated taking the EMRs as the gold standard. Results: The sensitivity of NCMS was 95.2%(93.8%-96.3%) and 92.0%(88.3%-94.8%) in ACH and HCPH,respectively. The PPV of the NCMS was 97.8%(96.7%-98.5%) in ACH and 89.0%(84.9%-92.3%) in HCPH.Overall, the weighted and combined sensitivity and PPV of NCMS in Hua County was 93.1% and 92.1%,respectively. Significantly higher sensitivity and PPV in identifying patients with common cancers than noncommon cancers were detected in HCPH and ACH separately(P<0.01).Conclusions: Identification of cancer patients by use of the NCMS is accurate on individual level, and it is therefore feasible to conduct claims-based cancer surveillance in areas not covered by cancer registries in China.展开更多

Addition of γ-Al2O3did not affect the structure of MCM-22 zeolite as evidenced by XRD and N2 adsorption measurements. It was deduced from TPR experiments that γ-Al2O3 phase favored the formation of polymolybdate or multilayered Mo oxide, while more Al2(MoO4)3 species were generated over MCM-22 zeolites. Alumina content in the support was directly related to the metathesis activity of ethene and butene-2 to propene. Mo species with higher valence (Mo6+or Mo5+) contributed more to the excellent performance of catalyst than metallic Mo. The best catalyst activity and stability was obtained over 3.0Mo/(MCM-22-30%Al2O3) under the reaction condition of 1.0 MPa and 125℃ using N2 as the pretreatment gas.展开更多

The results revealed that formation of sub-grain boundaries and //RD fiber texture after hot rolling is beneficial to the increase of the elongation of the alloy. The shear texture of //RD fiber and γ-fiber occupies a dominant role during the hot rolling process, while the main texture during the cold rolling process is the rolling texture of β-fiber. β-fiber and τ-fiber texture components are identified as two main types of texture components during cold rolling, and the Brass component {011} is transformed into Goss component {011} with the increase of the deformation.展开更多

It is necessary to study its treatment time window. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of USW on reperfusion injury after occlusion of the middle cerebral artery (MCAO) in rats and discuss its acting mechanisms and best occasion. DESIGN: Randomized controlled observation, animal experiment. SETTING: Laboratory of Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, First Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University. MATERIALS: Sixty-six healthy Wistar rats of either gender and of clean grade, aged 18–20 weeks, weighing from 250 to 300 g, were provided by the Experimental Animal Center of China Medical University. An USW device (Shanghai Electrical Device Company) with the frequency of 40.68 MHz and the maximum output power of 40 W, and the first channel power controlled at about 11 W was used in this study. Output power was determined by photometry. METHODS: Sixty-six rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: Sham-operation group (n =6): The suture was inserted only 1.0 depth during operation, which did not cause MACO; Model group (n =12): The USW treatment procedure was performed with the power off on the model rats; USW treatment group (n =48): The 48 rats were randomly divided into modeling 0, 6, 12 and 18 hours 4 subgroups. USW therapy without heat was used on the head of rats for 10 minutes at each time point. Twelve rats in USW treatment group were decapitated following treatment at each time point, and then their brain tissues were harvested. The rat brain tissues in other groups were harvested by decapitation at 24 hours after modeling. When the rats were awake, the neurologic deficit was scored by Zea-Longa five-point scale (a score of 0 indicated no neurologic deficit, a score of 1 indicated failure to extend left paw fully, a score of 2 indicated circling to the left, and a score of 3 indicated falling to the left, and rats with a score of 4 did not walk spontaneously and has a depressed level of consciousness.) Rats which still survived at 24 hours and was scored 1 and 2 on the neurologic scoring were involved in the analysis. ① Determination of cerebral water content: Cerebral water contents of healthy and injured hemisphere were determined by wet/dry weighing method. Cerebral water content (100%) =(1–dry/wet weight)×100%.②Infarction volume: The brain tissue was sliced into 2 mm sections and each section was stained with 20 g/L 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) by TTC staining technique for 30 minutes in a water bath at 37 ℃.Then, the section was fixed in 100 g/L formaldehyde for 10 minutes .The infarction volume was analyzed by using an imaging analyzer.③ Preparation of light microscopic sample: The rat brain tissue fixed by 100 g/L neutral formaldehyde and stained with TTC, were gradiently dehydrated with alcoholic, embedded with paraffin, sliced and stained by HE, finally, the sections were observed under the light microscope. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Cerebral water content, cerebral infarction volume and cerebral histomorphology of rats in each group. RESULTS: Sixty-six rats were involved in the final analysis. ①Cerebral water content: There were no significant differences of cerebral water content in healthy hemisphere among groups (P 〉 0.05). Cerebral water content of injured hemisphere in the model group and at modeling 0, 6, 12 and 18 hours in the USW treatment group was (81.50±0.74) %, (81.02±0.83) %, (79.78±0.70) %, (79.74±0.84) %, (79.39± 1.06) %, respectively, which was significantly higher than that in the sham-operation group [(78.09±0.52) %, P 〈 0.05]. At modeling 0, 6 and 12 hours, the cerebral water content in the injured hemisphere in the USW treatment group was significantly lower than that in the model group, respectively (P 〈 0.05). It indicatedthat USW treatment given at 6, 12 and 18 hours after ischemia/reperfusion can lessen brain edema. ② Cerebral infarction volume: At modeling 18 hours, cerebral infarction volume in the injured hemisphere of USW treatment group was smaller than that in the model group [(191.62±121.45),(362.03±142.01)mm3, t =2.23,P 〈 0.05]. ③ Cerebral histomorphological observation: No swelling was found in the brain tissue section of rats in the sham-operation group. In the model group, the size of infarction hemisphere was obviously increased, gyrus became flattened, cortical sulci was shallow, the color at infarct focus obviously became light, and the tissue was fragile and brittle. In the sham-operation group, it was found under the microscope that mesenchyma was highly swelled, neuronal peripheral interspace was obviously broadened, neurons presented triangle, nucleoli were reduced, condensed even disappeared, and neutrophils in the vascular cavity were obviously increased. In the USW treatment group, pathological injury was not obviously lessened at 0 hour, moderate or mild edema could be found in the injured hemisphere of USW treatment group at modeling 6,12 and 18 hours, and at this time, neutrophils in vascular cavity were increased slightly, and pathological injuries were lessened. CONCLUSION: USW may play a protective effect on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury by decreasing brain edema and/or cerebral infarction volume. The treatment action of USW may start at 6 hours after reperfusion, and the best occasion of application may be at 18 hours after reperfusion.展开更多

Enhancing the surface wettability is very important for improving the properties of materials. Superhydrophobic materials show good prospects for development in areas such as self-cleaning, anti-fog snow, anti-icing, and corrosion resistance. It has become a hot spot to develop a superhydrophobic surface with low surface free energy and good anti-adhesion properties. In this paper, nanosecond pulsed lasers were used to texture the nickel surface, and the different texturing speeds were changed. Combined with the ultrasonic treatment of low surface energy materials, nickel surfaces with different contact angles were obtained. The experimental results show that low surface energy substances can increase the contact angle of nickel surface but the extent of increase is limited. Laser microstructure induces micro & nanostructures. Ultrasonic action can adsorb certain low surface energy substances on the surface, greatly improving the hydrophobic properties of the surface, the contact angle with water up to 152? and the roll angle is less than 2?, and with the increase of the laser texturing speed, the contact angle of the nickel surface shows a decreasing trend.展开更多

So far, more than 70 recognized?species of the genus Arthrobacter have been certified. Its special functions have been widely known by researchers, such as, in agricultural, in medical, in industrial, and in environmental areas, etc. What deserves to be mentioned is that some species of genus Arthrobacter have showed the function of degrading pesticides, fixing nitrogen, producing beneficial enzyme, treating sewage, and so on. Recently, the applications of the genus Arthrobacter, especially the VBNC?(viable but non-culturable) bacteria of this genus in the field of contaminated environment repair attract people’s attention and some related research results have also been obtained. The functions that we have known are waiting for us to study about mechanism, deeply. And, we can look forward to discovering more potential functions and applications of this genus in ecological environment. In the meantime, these discoveries must bring more new changes and knowledge.展开更多

To study molecular identity and behavior of mobile substances transmitted between organs via vascular tissue, it is necessary to collect exudate from stem or other organs. Modifed stem-cutting method for exudate collection in soybean was used in this study by selecting the optimum sampling time and position, using reagents preventing RNA degradation, etc. Diurnal dynamics analysis of exudate emission was found to be the highest during 10:00-10:10 am. Totally 15 μL pure exudate was collected from the stem cut between cotyledonary and unifoliolate nodes at V1 stage (unifoliolate just expanded) of young soybean seedling. Improved TRIzol method was used to extract RNA and protein from stem exudate. A phloem specifc gene of Glycine max sieve element occlusion s, SEO, in exudate samples was successfully amplifed by RT-PCR, which comfrmed the success of RNA extraction. SDS-PAGE showed the majority of proteins in exudate were of low molec-ular weight. Method proposed in this study would facilitate collection of quality exudate and enhance further investigation of mobile substances in soybean.展开更多

文摘In this study, the impacts of egg consumption on mice model of metabolic syndrome(Met S)were comparatively investigated.Mice were divided into five groups(n=8):normal diet group(ND),high-fat diet group(HFD),HFD with whole egg group(WE),HFD with free-yolk egg substitute group(YFES),and HFD with lovastatin group(Lov).Main biochemical indexes and a non-targeted lipidomic analysis were employed to insight the lipid profile changes in serum. It was revealed that WE could significantly improve serum biochemical indexes by reducing body weight,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and total cholesterol(TC),while increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.YFES exhibited remarkably better performance in increasing phosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidic acids, while decreasing phosphatidylinositol than WE.A total of 50 differential lipids biomarkers tightly related to glycerophospholipids metabolism were screened out.Carnitine C18:2 and C12:1,SM(d18:0/12:0),and SM(d18:1/14:1)were significantly upregulated in YFES compared to WE.YFES reduced expression of SREBP-1c and Cpt1a,while did not affect the expression of PPAR-α.Sphingomyelin biomarkers were positively related to the TC(|r|>0.6),while PPAR-αwas negatively correlated with triglyceride and LDL-C levels. To sum up,YFES attenuated HFD-induced Met S by improving the serum phospholipids, which account for its modulation of glycerophospholipid metabolism.

文摘Objective: To evaluate the accuracy of identifying cancer patients by use of medical claims data in a health insurance system in China, and provide the basis for establishing the claims-based cancer surveillance system in China. Methods: We chose Hua County, Henan Province as the study site, and randomly selected 300 and 1,200 qualified inpatient electronic medical records(EMRs) as well as the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme(NCMS) claims records for cancer patients in Hua County People’s Hospital(HCPH) and Anyang Cancer Hospital(ACH) in 2017. Significantly higher sensitivity and PPV in identifying patients with common cancers than noncommon cancers were detected in HCPH and ACH separately(P<0.01).Conclusions: Identification of cancer patients by use of the NCMS is accurate on individual level, and it is therefore feasible to conduct claims-based cancer surveillance in areas not covered by cancer registries in China.

文摘A series of 3.0Mo/MCM-22-Al2O3 catalysts with γ-Al2O3 contents in the range of 0-100 wt% were prepared and applied in the metathesis reaction of ethene and butene-2. The best catalyst activity and stability was obtained over 3.0Mo/(MCM-22-30%Al2O3) under the reaction condition of 1.0 MPa and 125℃ using N2 as the pretreatment gas.
文摘The evolutions of texture, microstructure as well as mechanical properties of an Al-Mg-Si-Cu alloy during hot and cold rolling were investigated by TEM, EBSD and X-ray diffraction in this study. The results revealed that formation of sub-grain boundaries and //RD fiber texture after hot rolling is beneficial to the increase of the elongation of the alloy. The shear texture of //RD fiber and γ-fiber occupies a dominant role during the hot rolling process, while the main texture during the cold rolling process is the rolling texture of β-fiber. β-fiber and τ-fiber texture components are identified as two main types of texture components during cold rolling, and the Brass component {011} is transformed into Goss component {011} with the increase of the deformation.
文摘BACKGROUND: Ultrashortwave (USW) therapy may be a new method for treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular diseases. The treatment action of USW may start at 6 hours after reperfusion, and the best occasion of application may be at 18 hours after reperfusion.

文摘Wettability is an important characteristic of solid surfaces. Ultrasonic action can adsorb certain low surface energy substances on the surface, greatly improving the hydrophobic properties of the surface, the contact angle with water up to 152? and the roll angle is less than 2?, and with the increase of the laser texturing speed, the contact angle of the nickel surface shows a decreasing trend.
文摘The genus Arthrobacter was established in 1947 by Conn & Dimmick. In the meantime, these discoveries must bring more new changes and knowledge.

文摘BACKGROUND: HOW to control the effect of oxygen-derived free radicals on development of cerebral injury and cerebral edema is a key factor for treating cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. OBJECTIVE: To observe and compare the protective effects, synergistic action and mechanisms of ultrashortwave (USW) and radix salviae miltiorrhizae (RSM) on the focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injuries in rats. DESIGN: Randomized controlled animal study SEI-FING: Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, First Hospital affiliated to China Medical University MATERIALS: A total of 160 healthy Wistar rats of both genders and aged 18-20 weeks weighing 250-300 g of clean grade were selected in this study. 5 mL/ampoule RSM injection fluid was produced by the First Pharmaceutical Corporation of Shanghai (batch number: 011019, 0.01 mug). The USW therapeutic device was produced by Shanghai Electronic Device Factory with the frequency of 40.68 MHz and the maximal export power of 40 W. The first channel of power after modulation was 11 W. METHODS: The experiment was carried out in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department of the First Hospital affiliated to China Medical University from May 2002 to January 2003. Focal ischemia-reperfusion model was established in rats by reversible right middle cerebral artery occlusion with filament. Right cerebral ischemia was for 2 hours and then with 24 hours reperfusion. The scores of neurological deficits were evaluated by 0 to 4 scales. After surgery, 64 successful rats models were divided into four groups according to digital table: control group, USW group, RSM group and RSM + USW group with 16 cases in each group. Rats in control group were intraperitoneally injected with the same volume of saline (0.1 mL/g); rats in USW group were given small dosage of USW on head for 10 minutes at 6 hours after reperfusion; rats in RSM group were intraperitoneally injected with 0.01 mL/g RSM solution at 30 minutes before reperfusion; rats in RSM + USW group were intraperitoneally injected with 0.01 mL/g RSM parenteral solution at 30 minutes before reperfusion and given small dosage of USW on head for 10 minutes once at 6 hours after reperfusion; sixteen rats in sham operation group did not receive any treatment. All 80 rats were taken brains at 24 hours after reperfusion to measure wet and dry weights to calculate water content: Cerebral water content (%) = (1-dry/wet weight) × 100%. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity was measured by hydroxylamine method and malondialdehyde (MDA) content was measured by TBA photometric method. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES : Cerebral water content, SOD activity and MDA content RESULTS: All 160 rats except 80 failing in modeling were involved in the final analysis. (① The cerebral water content of left hemisphere made no significant difference (P 〉 0.05). The cerebral water content of right hemisphere in the control group and the three treatment groups was obviously higher than that of the sham operation group [(81.26±0.77)%, (79.74±0.68)%, (79.76±0.81)%, (79.61±0.79)%, (77.43±0.61)%, P 〈 0.05]. The cerebral water content of right hemisphere in the three treatment groups was obviously lower than that of the control group (P〈 0.05). There was no significant difference among the three treatment groups (P 〉 0.05). ② Compared with the control group, SOD activity (right) of the control group decreased obviously (P 〈 0.05), while MDA content increased obviously (P 〈 0.05). SOD activity in the three therapeutic groups increased obviously, while MDA content decreased obviously (P 〈 0.05); there was no significant difference among the three treatment groups (P 〉 0.05). CONCLUSION: ① USW and RSM therapy have neuroprotective effects against focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injuries by means of decreasing cerebral water content and MDA and increasing the activity of SOD. ② Synergistic action was not observed between these two therapeutic methods.

文摘Vascular tissue serves as the channel for nutrient transport and signal transduc-tion between different organs in plants. Method proposed in this study would facilitate collection of quality exudate and enhance further investigation of mobile substances in soybean.

文摘Smart materials that integrate multi-stimuli response, full reversibility, and dual-visual read-out channel are highly desired for anticounterfeiting and information encryption applications.Herein,we developed a multiresponsive perchlorate terpyridyl Pt(Ⅱ)nano complex which could undergo fully reversible conversion between three forms stimulated by water or formaldehyde molecule due to the extent of Pt–Pt interaction.Meanwhile,a dual-visual channel,i.e.,the colorimetric channel changed from yellow to orange or red and the corresponding luminescent channel from orange to orange-red or red,has also been found. The weak and equivalent strength of ion-dipole interaction and hydrogen bond that generated between formaldehyde/water and Pt(II)salt result in the easy-control reversibility between the three forms.Furthermore,by introducing different polymer matrices,1Cl·ClO_(4)@PMMA(1Cl·ClO_(4):[Pt(tpy)Cl]·ClO4,tpy:2,2':6',2''-terpyridine),PMMA:poly(methyl methacrylate))and 1Cl·ClO4@PVA(PVA:polyvinyl alcohol)are successfully constructed, which exhibit different reversible behaviors since the PMMA and PVA matrix exert different influences on the strength of hydrogen-bond.Those smart Pt(II)salt nanostructures present great potential for high-security-level anticounterfeiting application.
