Results show that GC con...Large subunit gene of rubisco (rbcL) of cyanobacteria Arthrospira platensis FACHB341, A. Platensis FACHB439, A. Maxima OUQDSM and Spirulina sp. FACHB440 is cloned, sequenced and characterized. Results show that GC content of the gene in strain Spirulina sp. FACHB440 is higher than that in the others. The alignments based on deduced amino acid sequences indicate that Spirulina sp. FACHB440 is different from that in other three samples of Arthrospira, though they have the same conserved functional sites (95, 98, 121, 124, 221, 257). The nucleotide sequence similarity among the three strains of the genus of Arthrospira (96.5~99.6%) is higher than that between Arthrospira and Spirulina (78.1~78.5%). By comparison of the corresponding sequence of other cyanobacteria, a phylogenetic tree with two clusters is constructed. A. Platensis FACHB341, A. Maxima OUQDSM and A. Platensis FACHB439 form the monophyletic linage, which is fully supported by bootstrap values (1000), while Spirulina sp. FACHB440 and Anabaena sp. The phenomenon of mechanical periodicity (MP) of end diastolic volume (EDV) of left ventricle is successfully simulated by solving a series of one-dimensional discrete nonlinear dynamical equations. Eighty crossbite cases of deciduous dentition and mixed dentition were treated by modified ACTIVATOR. Through pre- and post-treatment analysis of stone model, Schuller’s position X-ray and craniofaciometrics, the change in craniofacial length, width and height in early-phase crossbite malocclusion was studied. The results showed that there was no significant change in the width of maxillary and mandibular dental arch. Maxillary length and protrusion was increased significantly, upper incisors slopped labially. The lower incisors slopped lingually, mental angle decreased more severely. For other criteria, such as Maximum Mutual Information (MMI) criterion, such an algorithm does not exist. In this case, a gradient based method is considered. With the complexity of the objective function, the computation of the gradients has to be solved before it can be applied to this problem. This paper proposed an implementation method of the gradient based method. Experimental results indicate that this method produces monotonous improvement like Baum Welch algorithm.展开更多

Methods: 14 women accompanied by postprandial hyperglycemia with PCOS were administrated by acarbose for 12 weeks.14 age-matched individuals who had similar body mass index and normal menstruation were served as controls. Results: Serum T levels declined significantly from 4.09±1.04 nmol/L to 1.71±0.54 nmol/L (P<0.001), after acarbose treatment for 12 weeks. 12 out of 14 cases restored ovulation and menstrual cycles after acarbose treatment, among which 4 got pregnant. Conclusion: Acarbose may play a role on reducing postprandial hyperglycemia and HbAic levels, increase ISI and FSG/FI, indirectly reduce serum androgen levels through reducing plasma insulin level and recover ovarian ovulation in PCOS women with postprandial hyperglycemia.展开更多

Many clinical trials have indicated that IVM technology is not only used to treat infertile women with stubborn polycystic ovarian syn drome (PCOS)[2], to prevent patients from ovarian hyperstimulation syn drome (OHSS)[3],and to rescue the poor developed oocytes in stimu lated cycles , but also to reduce the cost and to avert the side-effects of gonadotropin sti mulation for in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Although there were lots of studies involving to the competence of the immature oocyte from mammalian or human ovar ies to become mature in vitro, the pregnancy rate from IVM is much lower than th at of IVF as reported[4]. Methods: The total of 108 coronary heart disease pat...Objective: To evaluate the effect of Xiongshao Capsule (XS, 芎芍胶囊) in preventing clinical and angiographic restenosis after coronary angioplasty or/and stenting. Methods: The total of 108 coronary heart disease patients with successful coronary angioplasty or/and stenting were randomly divided into the control group (55 cases, routine treatment) and the XS group (53 cases, routine treatment combined with XS). The recurrence of angina, clinical end-point events, changing of blood-stasis syndrome score (BSSS) and coronary angiography within 6 month after coronary angioplasty or/and stenting were observed. Results: Follow-up angiography was performed in 42 patients including 18 cases in the XS group (restenosis was observed in 7 patients) and 24 cases in the control group (restenosis was observed in 17 patients), there was significant difference between the occurrence of restenosis in XS and that in control group (P<0.05). The occurrence of clinical end-point events (death, nonfatal target lesion myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass graft surgery, or repeat target-vessel angioplasty) in the XS group (18.8%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (40%)(P<0.05). The recurrent angina was observed in 13 cases in the XS group, there was significant difference as compared with 27 cases in the control group (P<0.05). There was also remarkable significance for the difference of base-line and follow-up BSSS between groups (P<0.01). Logistic multivariate stepwise regress analysis and multivariate regress analysis of the related factors with restenosis confirmed by coronary angiography showed that, the base-line BSSS and the difference of base-line and follow-up BSSS were important influencing factors on the occurrence of restenosis after interventional treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion: XS could markedly reduce the occurrence of angiographic restenosis, clinical end-point events and recurrent angina, improve condition of blood-stasis after coronary angioplasty or/and stenting. The severity of blood-stasis syndrome was an important influencing factor on the occurrence of restenosis. It still needs to be further demonstrated by large-scale, double-blinded, randomized and controlled study.展开更多
