Detection and significance of blood rheology and coagulation function index in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with cerebral infarction

Objective: To investigate the level of blood rheology and coagulation function in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and cerebral infarction and its significance. Methods: A total of 81 elderly patients with T2DM and cerebral infarction were selected as the observation group, 80 cases of T2DM patients without cerebral infarction were selected as T2DM group, and 80 healthy elderly people as control group. According to the Adama classification, the patients in the observation group were divided into three groups: lacunar infarction group (n=28), small infarction group (n=39) and large infarction group (n=14). The blood rheology and coagulation function indexes levels among the groups were compared. Results: The single factor variance analysis showed that the differences of the high shear whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, low shear whole blood viscosity, APTT, PT, FIB and D-D levels among the control group were significant, T2DM group and observation group were statistically significant. Compared with the control group, the high shear whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, low shear whole blood viscosity, FIB and D-D levels in the T2DM group and observation group were significantly increased, PT and APTT were decreased sharply, and in the observation group high shear whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, low shear whole blood viscosity, FIB and D-D levels were significantly higher than that of T2DM group APTT, and PT were significantly lower than those of T2DM group. Lacunar infarction group, small infarction group and large infarction group with increased infarct size, with high shear whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, low shear whole blood viscosity, FIB and D-D levels were significantly increased, while APTT and PT were significantly decreased. Conclusion: T2DM and cerebral infarction patients with abnormal blood rheology and coagulation function, the index examination has important clinical value for cerebral infarction area evaluation. 展开更多

Changes of renal function impairment, extracellular matrix regulation, renal fibrosis and inflammation in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis

Objective: To investigate the changes and clinical significance of renal function impairment, extracellular matrix regulation, renal fibrosis and inflammation in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis. Methods: A total of 50 patients with chronic glomerulonephritis admitted to our hospital from May 2016 to February 2018 were selected as observation group and 50 healthy people as control group.The expression levels and related inflammatory markers of renal dysfunction [including Uric acid (UA), retinol binding protein (RBP) and type IV collagen (Col-IV)], extracellular matrix modulation [including tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase -1 (TIMP-1) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9)], renal fibrosis [including transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), laminin (LN) and hyaluronic acid (HA).] and degree of inflammation [including leukocyte stimulating hormone-1 (Lkn-1) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)] were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:The changes of renal function impairment, extracellular matrix regulation, renal fibrosis and inflammation were significant in both groups. Compared with healthy controls in the control group, UA[(352.49±26.57) μmol/L], RBP[(98.75±26.91) mg/L], Col-IV[(224.77±72.32) ng/L], TIMP-1[(145.79±49.67) ng/mL], MMP-9[(177.71±52.35) ng/mL], TGF-β1[(15.23±7.61) ng/mL], LN[(153.82±23.01) μg/L], HA[(366.80±77.98) μg/L], Lkn-1[(82.71±20.64) pmol/L] and TNF-α[(138.01±45.26) pg/mL] levels were significantly elevated. The differences were statistically significant. Conclusions: Chronic glomerulonephritis patients with renal dysfunction and abnormal regulation of extracellular matrix, and severe renal fibrosis, the body is at a higher level of inflammation, clinical indicators should be strengthened to detect the early diagnosis of the disease and treatment basis. 展开更多

Objective: To study the value of serum NGAL and HE4 content change for diagnosing non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and evaluating disease progression. Methods: Patients who were diagnosed with NSCLC and underwent surgical resection in the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College between February 2015 and March 2017 were selected as the NSCLC group, and healthy volunteers who received physical examination over the same period were selected as control group. The NGAL and HE4 contents in serum of NSCLC group and control group as well as the expression of proliferation, apoptosis and invasion genes in NSCLC lesion of NSCLC group were detected. Results: Serum NGAL and HE4 levels of NSCLC group were significantly higher than those of control group, serum NGAL and HE4 levels of patients with TNM II and TNM III NSCLC were significantly higher than those of patients with TNM I NSCLC, and serum NGAL and HE4 levels of patients with TNM III NSCLC were significantly higher than those of patients with TNM II NSCLC;c-myc, Survivin, CatL, Vimentin, Slug and Snail mRNA expression in NSCLC lesion were significantly higher than those in adjacent lesion and positively correlated with serum NGAL and HE4 levels while PTEN, LATS1 and E-cadherin mRNA expression were significantly lower than those in adjacent lesion and negatively correlated with serum NGAL and HE4 levels. Conclusion: Abnormally elevated NGAL and HE4 in the serum of NSCLC patients can evaluate the proliferation and invasion of cancer cells to a certain extent. 展开更多
