The sensory perception of food is a dynamic process,which is closely related to the release of flavor substances during oral processing.It’s not only affected by the food material,but also subjected to the individual oral environment.To explore the oral processing characteristics of soft-boiled chicken,the sensory properties,texture,particle size,viscosity,characteristic values of electronic nose and tongue of different chicken samples were investigated.The correlation analysis showed that the physical characteristics especially the cohesiveness,springiness,resilience of the sample determined oral processing behavior.The addition of chicken skin played a role in lubrication during oral processing.The particle size of the bolus was heightened at the early stage,and the fluidity was enhanced in the end,which reduced the chewing time to the swallowing point and raised the aromatic compounds signal of electronic nose.But the effect of chicken skin on chicken thigh with relatively high fat content,was opposite in electronic nose,which had a certain masking effect on the perception of umami and sweet taste.In conclusion,fat played a critical role in chicken oral processing and chicken thigh had obvious advantages in comprehensive evaluation of soft-boiled chicken,which was more popular among people. 展开更多

Fengyun-3 E(FY-3E),the world’s first early-morning-orbit meteorological satellite for civil use,was launched successfully at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on 5 July 2021.The FY-3E satellite will fill the vacancy of the global early-morning-orbit satellite observation,working together with the FY-3C and FY-3D satellites to achieve the data coverage of early morning,morning,and afternoon orbits.The combination of these three satellites will provide global data coverage for numerical weather prediction(NWP)at 6-hour intervals,effectively improving the accuracy and time efficiency of global NWP,which is of great significance to perfect the global earth observing system.In this article,the background and meteorological requirements for the early-morning-orbit satellite are reviewed,and the specifications of the FY-3E satellite,as well as the characteristics of the onboard instrumentation for earth observations,are also introduced.In addition,the ground segment and the retrieved geophysical products are also presented.It is believed that the NWP communities will significantly benefit from an optimal temporal distribution of observations provided by the early morning,mid-morning,and afternoon satellite missions.Further benefits are expected in numerous applications such as the monitoring of severe weather/climate events,the development of improved sampling designs of the diurnal cycle for accurate climate data records,more efficient monitoring of air quality by thermal infrared remote sensing,and the quasicontinuous monitoring of the sun for space weather and climate. 展开更多

AIM: To investigate the targeted inhibition of proliferation and migration of SW620 human colon cancer cells by upregulating mi RNA-145(mi R-145).METHODS: Forty-five samples of colon cancer tissues and 45 normal control samples were obtained from the biological database of the First Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning Medical University. We performed quantitative analysis of mi R-145 and N-ras expression in tissues; reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction analysis of mi R-145 expression in SW620 colon cancer cells and normal colonic epithelial cells; construction of mi R-145 lentiviral vector and determination of mi R-145 expression in SW620 cells transduced with mi R-145 vector; analysis of the effect of mi R-145 overexpression on SW620 cell proliferation; analysis of the effect of mi R-145 overexpression on SW620 cell migration using a wound healing assay; and analysis of the effect ofmi R-145 on N-ras expression using Western blotting. RESULTS: mi R-145 expression was significantly downregulated in colon cancer tissues, with its expression in normal colonic tissues being 4-5-fold higher(two sample t test, P < 0.05), whereas N-ras expression showed the opposite trend. mi R-145 expression in SW620 cells was downregulated, which was significantly lower compared to that in colonic epithelial cells(two sample t test, P < 0.05). mi R-145 vector and control were successfully packaged; expression of mi R-145 in SW620 cells transduced with mi R-145 was 8.2-fold of that in control cells(two sample t test, P < 0.05). The proliferation of mi R-145-transduced SW620 cells was significantly decreased compared to control cells(two sample t test, P < 0.05). At 48 h in the wound healing experiment, the migration indexes and controls were(97.27% ± 9.25%) and(70.22% ± 6.53%), respectively(two sample t test, P < 0.05). N-ras expression in mi R-145-tranduced SW620 cells was significantly lower than others(one-way analysis of variance, P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: mi R-145 is important in inhibiting colon cancer cell proliferation and migration. This is a good foundation for development of colon cancer therapy by targeting tumor suppressor mi R-145. 展开更多

A new fluorescent method was developed based on the ulifloxacin-europium(Ⅲ)-sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate system for the determination of ulifloxacin,the active metabolite of prulifloxacin.Sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate formed a ternary complex with ulifloxacin-europium(Ⅲ)and significantly enhanced the characteristic fluorescence of europium(Ⅲ).The enhanced fluorescence intensity showed a good linear relationship with the concentration of ulifloxacin in the range of 5.0×10-8-2.0×10-6M with a detection limit of 2.0×10-10 M(3σ).This method is rapid and sensitive,and has been successfully applied to the determination of ulifloxacin in human urine and serum samples. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and cardiovascular diseases are often comorbid conditions,their co-occurrence yields worse outcomes than either condition alone.This study aimed to investigate COPD impacts on the five-year prognosis of patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).METHODS Patients with CHD who underwent PCI in 2013 were recruited,and divided into COPD group and non-COPD group.Adverse events occurring among those groups were recorded during the five-year follow-up period after PCI,including all-cause death and cardiogenic death,myocardial infarction,repeated revascularization,as well as stroke and bleeding events.Major adverse cardiac and cerebral events were a composite of all-cause death,myocardial infarction,repeated revascularization and stroke.RESULTS A total of 9843 patients were consecutively enrolled,of which 229 patients(2.3%)had COPD.Compared to non-COPD patients,COPD patients were older,along with poorer estimated glomerular filtration rate and lower left ventricular ejection fraction.Five-year follow-up results showed that incidences of all-cause death and cardiogenic death,as well as major adverse cardiac and cerebral events,for the COPD group were significantly higher than for non-COPD group(10.5%vs.3.9%,7.4%vs.2.3%,and 30.1%vs.22.6%,respectively).COPD was found under multivariate Cox regression analysis,adjusted for confounding factors,to be an independent predictor of all-cause death[odds ratio(OR)=1.76,95%CI:1.15-2.70,P=0.009]and cardiogenic death(OR=2.02,95%CI:1.21-3.39,P=0.007).CONCLUSIONS COPD is an independent predictive factor for clinical mortality,in which CHD patients with COPD are associated with worse prognosis than CHD patients with non-COPD. 展开更多

Searching for advanced anode materials with excellent electrochemical properties in sodium-ion battery is essential and imperative for next-generation energy storage system to solve the energy shortage problem.In this work,two-dimensional(2D)ultrathin FePS3 nanosheets,a typical ternary metal phosphosulfide,are first prepared by ultrasonic exfoliation.The novel 2D/2D heterojunction of FePS3 nanosheets@MXene composite is then successfully synthesized by in situ mixing ultrathin MXene nanosheets with FePS3 nanosheets.The resultant FePS3 nanosheets@MXene hybrids can increase the electronic conductivity and specific surface area,assuring excellent surface and interfacial charge transfer abilities.Furthermore,the unique heterojunction endows FePS3 nanosheets@MXene composite to promote the diffusion of Na^+ and alleviate the drastic change in volume in the cyclic process,enhancing the sodium storage capability.Consequently,the few-layered FePS3 nanosheets uniformly coated by ultrathin MXene provide an exceptional reversible capacity of 676.1 mAh g^−1 at the current of 100 mA g^−1 after 90 cycles,which is equivalent to around 90.6% of the second-cycle capacity(746.4 mAh g^−1).This work provides an original protocol for constructing 2D/2D material and demonstrates the FePS3@MXene composite as a potential anode material with excellent property for sodium-ion batteries. 展开更多

Using a functionally selective solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)as an anodic protection layer can effectively avoid the subsequent settlement of uneven lithium electrodeposits for lithium sulfur(Li-S)batteries.To address the issues of single functional,mechanical crushing and peeling of the conventional rigid LiF SEI,a unique functional-selected rigid-flexible-coupled LiF-intercalated-graphene(LiF-GN)SEI as anodic protection is constructed,which is verified by in-operando X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)spectra.Owing to the synergistic effect of the LiF and graphene layer,this intercalated functionalselected SEI architecture exhibits a dramatic elastic modulus(rigid-flexible coupling with a shallow Young’s modulus(~430 MPa)and a tremendous Young’s modulus of~20 GPa),high mechanical strength,and can be repulsive to polysulfides,accompanied unprecedented trafficability of Li ions.Consequently,the forceful exclusion of polysulfides from the LiF-GN SEI,as confirmed by means of in-situ UV/vis analysis,Li2 S nucleation tests,and visual permeation experiments,is of profound significance for the effective protection of Li anodes and enables Li-S batteries to achieve remarkable electrochemical performance(ultralow capacity decay rate of 0.022%during 300 cycles at 1 C and high discharge capacity of 1092 mAh/g at 0.5 C). 展开更多

A Computational Study on Lateral Flight Stability of the Cranefly in Hover

The dynamic flight stability of hovering insects includes the longitudinal and lateral motion.Research results have shown that for the majority of hovering insects the same longitudinal natural modes are identified and the hovering flight in longitudinal is unstable.However,in lateral,the modal structure for hovering insects could be different and the stability property of lateral disturbance motion is not as robust as that of longitudinal motion.The cranefly possesses larger aspect ratio and lower Reynolds number,and such differences in morphology and kinematics may make the lateral dynamic stability different.In this paper,the lateral flight stability of the cranefly in hover is investigated by numerical simulation.Firstly,the stability derivatives are acquired by solving the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations.Subsequently,the dynamic stability characteristics are checked by analyzing the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the linearized system.Computational results indicate that the lateral dynamic modal structure of cranefly is different from most other insects,consisting of three natural modes,and the weakly oscillatory mode illustrates the hovering lateral flight is nearly neutral.This neutral stability is mainly caused by the negative derivative of roll-moment vs.sideslip-velocity,which can be attributed to the weaker‘changingLEV-axial-velocity’effect.These results suggest that insects in nature may exhibit different dynamic stabilities with different morphological and kinematic parameters,which should be considered in the designs of flapping wing air vehicles. 展开更多

Mass transfer performance of gas–liquid two-phase flow at microscale is the basis of application of microreactor in gas–liquid reaction systems.At present,few researches on the mass transfer property of annular flow have been reported.Therefore,the mass transfer mechanism and relationship of gas–liquid annular flow in a microfluidic cross-junction device are studied in the present study.We find that the main factors,i.e.,flow pattern,liquid film thickness,liquid hydraulic retention time,phase interface fluctuation,and gas flow vorticity,which influence the flow mass transfer property,are directly affected both by gas and liquid flow velocities.But the influences of gas and liquid velocities on different mass transfer influencing factors are different.Thereout,the fitting relationships between gas and liquid flow velocities and mass transfer influencing factors are established.By comparing the results from calculations using fitting equations and simulations,it shows that the fitting equations have relatively high degrees of accuracy.Finally,the Pareto front,namely the Pareto optimal solution set,of gas and liquid velocity conditions for the best flow mass transfer property is obtained using the method of multi-objective particle swarm optimization.It is proved that the mass transfer property of the gas–liquid two-phase flow can be obviously enhanced under the guidance of the obtained Pareto optimal solution set through experimental verification. 展开更多

However, the development of highly efficient and selective non-noble metal-based GOR electrocatalysts is still a key problem. Here, an S-doped CuO nanorod array catalyst(S-CuO/CF) constructed by sulfur leaching and oxidative remodeling is used to drive GOR at low potentials: It requires potentials of only 1.23 and 1.33 V versus RHE to provide currents of 100 and 500 mA cm^(-2), respectively. Moreover, it shows satisfactory comprehensive performance(at 100 mA cm^(-2), V_(cell) = 1.37 V) when assembled as the anode in asymmetric coupled electrolytic cell. Furthermore, we propose a detailed cycle reaction pathway(in alkaline environment) of S-doped CuO surface promoting GOR to produce formic acid and glycolic acid. Among them, the C–C bond breaking and lattice oxygen deintercalation steps frequently involved in the reaction pathway are the key factors to determine the catalytic performance and product selectivity. This research provides valuable guidance for the development of transition metal-based electrocatalysts for GOR and valuable insights into the glycerol oxidation cycle reaction pathway. 展开更多

Chilled chicken has become the mainstream of chicken consumption.In order to explore the effect of post-mortem aging on water-soluble flavor precursors of chicken,pH,adenosine triphosphate(ATP)degradation,flavor nucleosides,free amino acids and water-soluble low molecular weight peptides were determined using Qingyuan partridge yellow-feathered broilers as material during 0-4℃ post-mortem aging in 48 h.The results showed that the pH value fell to the limit pH 5.64(4 h)in chicken breast and 6.21(3 h)in thigh.Regardless of chicken breast or thigh,ATP dropped rapidly within 3 h.It was found that the K-value in chicken thigh was the lowest at 2 h indicating the freshness was the best.Considering the equivalent umami concentration(EUC),the value at 3 h and 4 h was relatively high,but the corresponding electronic tongue umami value was not high,which further showed that the water-soluble low molecular taste peptide played an important role on the post-mortem aging process.Combined with cluster analysis and partial least squares discriminant analysis(PLS-DA),it was preliminarily inferred that the optimal time for chilled chicken during 0-4℃ post-mortem aging was 2 h,which could provide a theoretical basis for the further processing of fresh chicken. 展开更多

AIM: To observe the efficacy and mechanism of grainsized moxibustion at different acupoints in a rat model of ulcerative colitis(UC). METHODS: Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into control, UC model, grain-sized moxibustion at a single acupoint(CV 12), grain-sized moxibustion at two acupoints(CV 12 and CV 4), grain-sized moxibustion at three acupoints(CV 12, CV 4, and ST 36), and medication groups(n = 8/group). The UC model was established by enema of trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid. Direct moxibustion was used once a day for 7 d. Disease activity index(DAI) was evaluated before and after the treatment. Morphologic changes of intestinal tissue were observed under an optical microscope. The expression of tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p38MAPK) in colonic tissue was detected using Western blot, and the levels of occludin and zonula occludens-1(ZO-1) m RNAs were detected using reverse transcription PCR. RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the intestinal mucosae were incomplete in the model group, glandular structures were irregular, and submucosae were edematous, hyperemic, and infiltrated with inflammatory cells. The DAI scores and expression ofTNF-α and p38 MAPK were increased significantly in the model group compared to controls(P s < 0.01), while the m RNA levels of occludin and ZO-1 were reduced significantly(P s < 0.01). Compared with the model group, colonic mucosa and the arrangement of glands were complete and regular in the treatment groups. DAI scores and the expression of TNF-α and p38 MAPK were reduced significantly in moxibustion groups compared to controls(P s < 0.01), while the m RNA levels of occludin and ZO-1 were increased significantly(P s < 0.01). The improvements in the above indices in the three acupoints group and the medication group were superior to those in the single and two acupoints groups(all P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Reduction of TNF-α and p38 MAPK and increased expression of occludin and ZO-1 in colonic tissue represent a potential mechanism for improved intestinal mucosal tissue repair with grain-sized moxibustion. 展开更多
