At present, the operational parallel compensating capacitors can only through the protection action for the information, so we can‘t location the fault capacitor. In order to obtain every parallel capacitor running status information and meanwhile according to internal structure and the operation mode of film capacitor, this paper established the physical model on the single capacitor and the capacitors and simulated different forms of capacitor fault model and calculated currents changes which flow through the capacitor in every group. According to the above situation, we established fault criterion matrix of capacitors. The simulation results show that the fault criterion matrix can reflect capacitor running state information accurately, and it positioned fault capacitor effectively. 展开更多

Diagnosis of fluids is extremely significant at high temperatures and high pressures.As an advanced imaging technique,high-energy proton radiography has great potential for application to the diagnosis of high-density fluids.In high-energy proton radiography,an angular collimator can control the proton flux and thus enable material diagnosis and reconstruction of density.In this paper,we propose a multimaterial diagnostic method using angular collimators.The method is verified by reconstructing the density distribution from the proton flux obtained via theoretical calculations and numerical simulations.We simulate a 20 GeV proton imaging system using the Geant4 software toolkit and obtain the characteristic parameters of single-material objects.We design several concentric spherical objects to verify the method.We discuss its application to detonation tests.The results show that this method can determine the material and boundary information about each component of a multi-material object.Thus,it can be used to diagnose a mixed material and reconstruct densities in a detonation. 展开更多

Randomized controlled trial on the efficacy and safety of autologous serum eye drops in dry eye syndrome

BACKGROUND Autologous serum eye drops(ASEDs),a novel treatment derived from blood serum,have emerged as a groundbreaking solution for managing dry eye syndrome(DES).These drops have shown significant promise in relieving the distressing symptoms of DES.This study aimed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of ASEDs compared to traditional treatments,which often prove inadequate or result in unwanted side effects,particularly in individuals with moderate-to-severe DES.AIM To evaluate whether ASEDs are safer and more effective than conventional artificial tears in the treatment of moderate-to-severe DES.METHODS This multi-centered randomized controlled trial included 240 patients with moderate-to-severe DES from three ophthalmology clinics in China.They were randomly assigned to receive either ASEDs or artificial tears for 12 wk.The primary outcome was the change in the ocular surface disease index(OSDI)score,with secondary outcomes including tear break-up time(TBUT),Schirmer I test,corneal fluorescein staining(CFS),and conjunctival impression cytology(CIC).Statistics analysis was performed using an analysis of covariance with adjustments made for baseline values.RESULTS Our findings revealed that both ASEDs and artificial tears significantly improved the OSDI score,TBUT,Schirmer I test,CFS,and CIC from baseline to week 12.The ASEDs group showed significantly greater improvement in all these measures than the artificial tears group(all P values<0.05).The average difference in the OSDI score between the two cohorts was-10.3(95%confidence interval:-13.6 to-7.0),indicating a substantial improvement in the ASEDs group.The occurrence of adverse events was comparable between cohorts,with no reports of severe adverse events.CONCLUSION ASEDs are more effective and safer than artificial tears for mitigating symptoms of moderate-to-severe DES.ASEDs could be an alternative/supplementary therapy for patients with DES less responsive to traditional treatments. 展开更多

Viral vector transfection systems are among the simplest of biological agents with the ability to transfer genes into the central nervous system.In brain research,a series of powerful and novel gene editing technologies are based on these systems.Although many viral vectors are used in rodents,their full application has been limited in non-human primates.To identify viral vectors that can stably and effectively express exogenous genes within nonhuman primates,eleven commonly used recombinant adeno-associated viral and lentiviral vectors,each carrying a gene to express green or red fluorescence,were injected into the parietal cortex of four rhesus monkeys.The expression of fluorescent cells was used to quantify transfection efficiency.Histological results revealed that recombinant adeno-associated viral vectors,especially the serotype 2/9 coupled with the cytomegalovirus,human synapsin I,or Ca2+/calmodulin-dependentproteinkinaseII promoters,and lentiviral vector coupled with the human ubiquitin C promoter,induced higher expression of fluorescent cells,representing high transfection efficiency.This is the first comparison of transfection efficiencies of different viral vectors carrying different promoters and serotypes in non-human primates(NHPs).These results can be used as an aid to select optimal vectors to transfer exogenous genes into the central nervous system of non-human primates. 展开更多

The purpose of this study is to investigate total mercury (THg) distribution and its bioaccumulation up the soil-plant-grasshopperspider in the Huludao City, which is polluted seriously by chlor-alkali and zinc smelting industry in Northeast of China. Results indicated that average THg concentrations in soil, plant leaves, grasshopper Locusta migratoria manilensis and Acrida chinensis, and spider were 0.151, 0.119, 0.167 and 0.134 mg/kg, respectively. THg spatial distribution suggested that most of mercury came from the chlor-alkali plant and the two zinc smelteries. The highest mercury concentration was found in the wings among different grasshoppers’ organs. Although spiders are the predatory, THg concentrations in their bodies were not high, and only on the same level as in grasshoppers, which might be due to spiders’ special living habits. In the light of the mercury transportation at every stage of the soil-plant-grasshopper-spider food chain, the bioaccumulation factors were 0.03, 0.79–1.11 and 0.80–1.13 respectively. It suggested that mercury biomagnification up terrestrial food chains was not so large and obvious as it was in the aquatic food chain. 展开更多

The production of face towels is growing at an annual rate of about 4%in China,reaching 1.13 million tons by 2021.Phthalates(PAEs)are widely used in textiles,and face towels,as an important household textile,may expose people to PAEs via the skin,further leading to health risks.We collected new face towels and analyzed the distribution characterization of PAEs in them.The changes of PAEs were explored in a face towel use experiment and a simulated laundry experiment.Based on the use of face towels by 24 volunteers,we calculated the estimated daily intake(EDI)and comprehensively assessed the hazard quotient(HQ),hazard index(HI),and dermal cancer risk(DCR)of PAEs exposure in the population.PAEs were present in new face towels at total concentrations of<MDL–2388 ng/g,with a median of 173.2 ng/g,which was a lower contamination level compared with other textiles.PAE contents in used face towels were significantly higher than in new face towels.The concentrations of PAEs in coral velvet were significantly higher than those in cotton.Water washing removed some PAEs,while detergent washing increased the PAE content on face towels.Gender,weight,use time,and material were the main factors affecting EDI.The HQ and HIwere less than 1,which proved PAEs had no significant non-carcinogenic health risks.Among the five target PAEs studied,DEHPwas the only carcinogenic PAE andmay cause potential health risks after long-term exposure.Therefore,we should pay more attention to DEHP. 展开更多

To study the effects of combined Cd and Cu pollution on rhizosphere bacterial community.High-throughput sequencing was used to examine the response of rhizosphere bacterial communities to heavy-metal stress under single and mixed pollution of cadmium(Cd)and copper(Cu).With additions of Cd and Cu,the mean diversity index of rhizosphere bacterial community was in the order Cu alone>Cd-Cu mixtures>Cd alone.In all Cd and Cu treatments,the dominant phyla were Proteobacteria,Actinobacteria,Chloroflexi and Acidobacteria.In the additions with different concentrations of Cd-Cu mixtures,LEfSe indicated that there were differences in the predominant species of rhizosphere bacterial communities.Some genera such as Streptomyces and Microbacterium belonging to Actinobacteria as biomarkers were significantly enriched in both control and treatments,while some genera such as Pseudoxanthomonas and Rhodopseudomonas belonging to Proteobacteria as biomarkers were observed to be enriched in the additions with single and mixture of Cd and Cu.According to the Nonmetric multidimensional scaling(NMDS)analysis,the structure of rhizosphere bacterial community was different between treatments and the CK.Principal Component Analysis(PCA)and permutational multivariate analysis of variance(PERMANOVA)showed that there were significant differences among treatments(p<0.01),and that the addition of Cu might be the primary factor affecting the composition of rhizosphere bacterial communities. 展开更多

Acephalic spermatozoa syndrome(ASS)is one of the most severe spermatogenic failures of all infertility in men.The cognition of ASS has experienced a tortuous process.Over the past years,with the in-depth understanding of spermatogenesis and the emergence of new genetic research technologies,the unraveling of the genetic causes of spermatogenic failure has become highly active.From these advances,we established a genetic background and made significant progress in the discovery of the genetic causes of ASS.It is important to identify pathogenic genes and mutations in ASS to determine the biological reasons for the occurrence of the disease as well as provide genetic diagnosis and treatment strategies for patients with this syndrome.In this review,we enumerate various technological developments,which have made a positive contribution to the discovery of candidate genes for ASS from the past to the present.Simultaneously,we summarize the known genetic etiology of this phenotype and the clinical outcomes of treatments in the present.Furthermore,we propose perspectives for further study and application of genetic diagnosis and assisted reproductive treatment in the future. 展开更多
