This study explores the nuanced relationship between trait mindfulness and thriving at work among educators in Western China,emphasizing the mediating role of general self-efficacy.Employing a sample of 378 primary an...This study explores the nuanced relationship between trait mindfulness and thriving at work among educators in Western China,emphasizing the mediating role of general self-efficacy.Employing a sample of 378 primary and secondary school teachers,this research utilizes the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire(FFMQ),Thriving at Work Scale(TWS),and the General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)to conduct a thorough investigation.The findings indicate a significant positive correlation between trait mindfulness and thriving at work,between trait mindfulness and general self-efficacy,and between general self-efficacy and thriving at work.Additionally,trait mindfulness was found to have a positive predictive effect on both thriving at work and general self-efficacy,with general self-efficacy also showing a positive predictive effect on thriving at work.Importantly,general self-efficacy was identified as playing a partial mediating role in the relationship between trait mindfulness and thriving at work.These results underscore the importance of cultivating mindfulness and self-efficacy among teachers to enhance their enthusiasm for work,suggesting potential pathways for professional development and well-being in the educational sector.展开更多
Emerging memristive devices offer enormous advantages for applications such as non-volatile memories and inmemory computing(IMC),but there is a rising interest in using memristive technologies for security application...Emerging memristive devices offer enormous advantages for applications such as non-volatile memories and inmemory computing(IMC),but there is a rising interest in using memristive technologies for security applications in the era of internet of things(IoT).In this review article,for achieving secure hardware systems in IoT,lowpower design techniques based on emerging memristive technology for hardware security primitives/systems are presented.By reviewing the state-of-the-art in three highlighted memristive application areas,i.e.memristive non-volatile memory,memristive reconfigurable logic computing and memristive artificial intelligent computing,their application-level impacts on the novel implementations of secret key generation,crypto functions and machine learning attacks are explored,respectively.For the low-power security applications in IoT,it is essential to understand how to best realize cryptographic circuitry using memristive circuitries,and to assess the implications of memristive crypto implementations on security and to develop novel computing paradigms that will enhance their security.This review article aims to help researchers to explore security solutions,to analyze new possible threats and to develop corresponding protections for the secure hardware systems based on low-cost memristive circuit designs.展开更多
The spiking neural network(SNN),closely inspired by the human brain,is one of the most powerful platforms to enable highly efficient,low cost,and robust neuromorphic computations in hardware using traditional or emerg...The spiking neural network(SNN),closely inspired by the human brain,is one of the most powerful platforms to enable highly efficient,low cost,and robust neuromorphic computations in hardware using traditional or emerging electron devices within an integrated system.In the hardware implementation,the building of artificial spiking neurons is fundamental for constructing the whole system.However,with the slowing down of Moore’s Law,the traditional complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)technology is gradually fading and is unable to meet the growing needs of neuromorphic computing.Besides,the existing artificial neuron circuits are complex owing to the limited bio-plausibility of CMOS devices.Memristors with volatile threshold switching(TS)behaviors and rich dynamics are promising candidates to emulate the biological spiking neurons beyond the CMOS technology and build high-efficient neuromorphic systems.Herein,the state-of-the-art about the fundamental knowledge of SNNs is reviewed.Moreover,we review the implementation of TS memristor-based neurons and their systems,and point out the challenges that should be further considered from devices to circuits in the system demonstrations.We hope that this review could provide clues and be helpful for the future development of neuromorphic computing with memristors.展开更多
Background The provision of habitat for fishery species in estuaries is highly valued and represents one of the most challenging ecosystem service values to quantify.However,quantifying this value is challenging due t...Background The provision of habitat for fishery species in estuaries is highly valued and represents one of the most challenging ecosystem service values to quantify.However,quantifying this value is challenging due to complex relationships between habitat change,ecological processes,and environmental variations.This study aims to estimate estuarine habitat degradation and its impact on the reproduction process of the crab Eriocheir sinensis by characterizing the changes in breeding habitat and investigating relationships between the species and its habitat in the Yang-tze River Estuary.Methods A species distribution model recently developed was applied to estimate the extent and quality of breeding habitat changes from 2014-2021.The intrinsic(physiological)and external(structural)reproductive attributes of the breeding process were measured to assess the effects of habitat change.The relationships among habitat change,reproductive attributes and environmental factors were analyzed to understand the underlying driving forces of habitat degradation for breeding process by multivariate statistical analysis.Results About 34.24%of essential habitat was lost,mainly in highly suitable areas due to reclamation and waterway construction.Habitat degradation significantly affects female distribution and their reproductive processes,particularly gonad development during the pre-reproductive period and fecundity during the reproductive period,without altering population structure.These results indicated that the main ecological function served by the highly suitable breeding ground was the provision for development of gonad and improvement of fecundity.Increases of salinity and turbidity,caused by hydrodynamic changes from large-scale waterway construction,were identified as the environmental determinants contributing to cumulative habitat degradation.These influences ultimately led to a decrease in the fecundity of E.sinensis.Conclusions Our research sheds light on the quantification of habitat degradation in the Yangtze River Estuary and its implications for the reproduction process of E.sinensis,which can serve as a foundation for assessing and quantifying the ecosystem service values provided by these breeding grounds.This information is valuable for policymakers and resource managers in making informed decisions regarding habitat conservation and the sustainable utilization of fishery resources.展开更多
Objective:To study the correlation of peripheral blood NK cell content with tumor marker content and proliferation molecule expression in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods: A total of 80 patient...Objective:To study the correlation of peripheral blood NK cell content with tumor marker content and proliferation molecule expression in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods: A total of 80 patients who were diagnosed with NSCLC in our hospital between June 2014 and October 2016 were selected as the NSCLC group of the research, and 96 healthy volunteers who received physical examination in our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group of the research. The peripheral blood NK cell content and serum tumor marker contents of two groups of subjects were determined, and the proliferation molecule expression levels in lung cancer focus tissue and focus tissue adjacent to carcinoma of NSCLC group were determined.Results:Peripheral blood NK cell content of NSCLC group was significantly lower than that of control group;serum CEA, CA125, Cyfra21-1 and HE4 contents were significantly higher than those of control group, and serum CEA, CA125, Cyfra21-1 and HE4 contents of NSCLC patients with high NK cell content were significantly lower than those of NSCLC patients with low NK cell content;c-myc, c-FLIP, Livin, Moesin and k-ras protein expression in lung cancer focus tissue were significantly higher than those in focus tissue adjacent to carcinoma, and c-myc, c-FLIP, Livin, Moesin and k-ras protein expression in lung cancer focus tissue with high NK cell content were significantly lower than those in lung cancer focus tissue with low NK cell content.Conclusion: Peripheral blood NK cell content significantly reduces in patients with NSCLC and is associated with the cancer cell proliferation activity.展开更多

Cytotoxic T lymphocyte associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), programmed death protein 1 (PD-1) and its ligand (PD-L1) are the most thoroughly studied in the immune checkpoints, and the latest research data show good treatment prospects. Whether it is used as single therapy or combined with other treatment, immunological checkpoint inhibitors have achieved good results. The main therapies for brain metastases from NSCLC include surgical resection, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and so on. In recent years, with the improvement of surgical methods, the improvement of radiotherapy technology, the emergence of targeted drugs and the combined use of various treatments, the survival time of patients has been greatly extended, and the quality of life has also been significantly improved. SOCS3,a feedback inhibitor of the JAK/STAT signal pathway,negatively regulates axonal regrowth and inflammation in the central nervous system(CNS).Here,we demonstrated a distinct role of SOCS3 in the injured spinal co...SOCS3,a feedback inhibitor of the JAK/STAT signal pathway,negatively regulates axonal regrowth and inflammation in the central nervous system(CNS).Here,we demonstrated a distinct role of SOCS3 in the injured spinal cord of the gecko following tail amputation.Severing the gecko spinal cord did not evoke an inflammatory cascade except for an injury-stimulated elevation of the granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF) and interferon gamma(IFN-γ) cytokines.Simultaneously,the expression of SOCS3 was upregulated in microglia,and unexpectedly not in neurons.Enforced expression of SOCS3 was sufficient to suppress the GMCSF/IFN-γ-driven inflammatory responses through its KIR domain by attenuating the activities of JAK1 and JAK2.SOCS3 was also linked to GM-CSF/IFN-y-induced crosstolerance.Transfection of adenovirus overexpressing SOCS3 in the injured cord resulted in a significant decrease of inflammatory cytokines.These results reveal a distinct role of SOCS3 in the regenerating spinal cord,and provide new hints for CNS repair in mammals.展开更多

However, for common genetic diseases, multiple genes and their interactions should be understood and treated together during the exploration of disease causes and possible drug design. The present study focuses on analyzing the dynamic patterns of co-regulated modules during biological progression and determining those having remarkably varying activities, using the yeast cell cycle as a case study. We first constructed dynamic active protein-protein interaction networks by modeling the activity of proteins and assembling the dynamic co-regulation protein network at each time point. The dynamic active modules were detected using a method based on the Bayesian graphical model and then the modules with the most varied dispersion of clustering coefficients, which could be responsible for the dynamic mechanism of the cell cycle, were identified. Comparison of results from our functional module detection with the state-of-art functional module detection methods and validation of the ranking of activities of functional modules using GO annotations demonstrate the efficacy of our method for narrowing the scope of possible essential responding modules that could provide multiple targets for biologists to further experimentally validate.展开更多

Using a strand-specific RNA-seq analysis, we compared the in vitro transcriptomes of these two ...The Streptococcus suis serotype 2(S. suis 2) isolates 05ZYH33 and 98HAH33 have caused severe human infections in China. Using a strand-specific RNA-seq analysis, we compared the in vitro transcriptomes of these two Chinese isolates with that of a reference strain(P1/7). In the89 K genomic island that is specific to these Chinese isolates, a toxin–antitoxin system showed relatively high levels of transcription among the S. suis. The known virulence factors with high transcriptional activity in these two highly-pathogenic strains are mainly involved in adhesion, biofilm formation, hemolysis and the synthesis and transport of the outer membrane protein. Furthermore,our analysis of novel transcripts identified over 50 protein-coding genes with one of them encoding a toxin protein. We also predicted over 30 small RNAs(s RNAs) in each strain, and most of them are involved in riboswitches. We found that six s RNA candidates that are related to bacterial virulence, including csp A and rli38, are specific to Chinese isolates. These results provide insight into the factors responsible for the difference in virulence among the different S. suis 2 isolates.展开更多
Background and Aims:Endovascular implantation of iodine-125(125I)seeds strand combined with stent is an effective method of treatment for portal vein tumor thrombosis.The aim of this study was to develop a novel endov...Background and Aims:Endovascular implantation of iodine-125(125I)seeds strand combined with stent is an effective method of treatment for portal vein tumor thrombosis.The aim of this study was to develop a novel endovascular brachytherapy stent(EVB-Stent)and to evaluate its feasibility of use.Methods:An EVB-Stent was implanted into the main portal vein(MPV)in a live porcine model via the percutaneous transhepatic route.Blood samples were collected and tested before and after operation,as well as before euthanasia.Single-photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)combined with CT(SPECT/CT)scan were performed directly after operation and CT scan was performed 2 months after implantation.After the CT scan was performed,all animals were euthanized and histologically examined.Results:The novel stent was successfully positioned in all six pigs.No deterioration of liver function was observed during the 2-month follow-up period.SPECT/CT revealed the uniform distribution of radiation around the seeds strand,and the hottest spot was near the center of the MPV.The patency of the stented MPV was confirmed using CT scans.The tissue-accumulated absorbed dose was 31,822.11 mGy at 10 mm transversely away from the midpoint of the 125I seeds strand,with a half-life of 59.4 days.Pathological examination results showed no significant atrophy or inflammation of adjunct liver tissue,and no obvious intima thickening or thrombosis were detected in the stented MPV.Conclusions:A liver porcine model was used to demonstrate that the transhepatic placement of a novel endovascular brachytherapy stent,EVB-Stent,is both technically feasible and safe.展开更多

The results showed that t...A new insight into the promotion action of Co^2+ on both particle and metal deposition in Ni-diamond composite electrodeposition system was analyzed according to electrochemical measurements. The results showed that the addition of Co^2+ made particles content in deposits increased remarkably. The change of particles content in deposits was related inversely to the change of cathodic zero potential with the increase of the concentration of cobalt sulfate. Zero charge potential of cathode was shifted to much more negative region. The negative shift of the zero potential, combining with positive shift of the zeta potential, increased the electrostatic force between the particle-adsorbed metallic cations and the cathode. It not only benefits to the transportation of particles in solution towards cathode, but also shortens their residence time on cathodic surface. Meanwhile, entry of particles is also promoted. For metals deposition,reduction resistance of metallic cations rises greatly and deposition current at cathodic potentiodynamic polarization decreases after cobalt sulfate has been added into electrolyte. These factors are favorable for increasing particles content in deposits. In addition, physical model of diamond particles deposition state before and after the addition of Co^(2+)has been discussed.展开更多

文摘SOCS3,a feedback inhibitor of the JAK/STAT signal pathway,negatively regulates axonal regrowth and inflammation in the central nervous system(CNS).Here,we demonstrated a distinct role of SOCS3 in the injured spinal cord of the gecko following tail amputation.Severing the gecko spinal cord did not evoke an inflammatory cascade except for an injury-stimulated elevation of the granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF) and interferon gamma(IFN-γ) cytokines.Simultaneously,the expression of SOCS3 was upregulated in microglia,and unexpectedly not in neurons.Enforced expression of SOCS3 was sufficient to suppress the GMCSF/IFN-γ-driven inflammatory responses through its KIR domain by attenuating the activities of JAK1 and JAK2.SOCS3 was also linked to GM-CSF/IFN-y-induced crosstolerance.Transfection of adenovirus overexpressing SOCS3 in the injured cord resulted in a significant decrease of inflammatory cytokines.These results reveal a distinct role of SOCS3 in the regenerating spinal cord,and provide new hints for CNS repair in mammals.

文摘Current methods for the detection of differential gene expression focus on finding individual genes that may be responsible for certain diseases or external irritants. However, for common genetic diseases, multiple genes and their interactions should be understood and treated together during the exploration of disease causes and possible drug design. The present study focuses on analyzing the dynamic patterns of co-regulated modules during biological progression and determining those having remarkably varying activities, using the yeast cell cycle as a case study. We first constructed dynamic active protein-protein interaction networks by modeling the activity of proteins and assembling the dynamic co-regulation protein network at each time point. The dynamic active modules were detected using a method based on the Bayesian graphical model and then the modules with the most varied dispersion of clustering coefficients, which could be responsible for the dynamic mechanism of the cell cycle, were identified. Comparison of results from our functional module detection with the state-of-art functional module detection methods and validation of the ranking of activities of functional modules using GO annotations demonstrate the efficacy of our method for narrowing the scope of possible essential responding modules that could provide multiple targets for biologists to further experimentally validate.

文摘The electronic speckle pattern interferometer was used to in situ monitor the pitting corrosion of 304 stainless steel at anodic polarization. The pitting current and pitting current density of a single pit were obtained. The pit growth was controlled by the corrosion products diffusion. The pit morphology was observed by a scanning electron microscope. The results showed that the pit was dish shaped, and the geometric parameters and pit growth time conformed to the function of Y = A + B1t + B2t2 + B3t3.

文摘The Streptococcus suis serotype 2(S. suis 2) isolates 05ZYH33 and 98HAH33 have caused severe human infections in China. Using a strand-specific RNA-seq analysis, we compared the in vitro transcriptomes of these two Chinese isolates with that of a reference strain(P1/7). In the89 K genomic island that is specific to these Chinese isolates, a toxin–antitoxin system showed relatively high levels of transcription among the S. suis. The known virulence factors with high transcriptional activity in these two highly-pathogenic strains are mainly involved in adhesion, biofilm formation, hemolysis and the synthesis and transport of the outer membrane protein. Furthermore,our analysis of novel transcripts identified over 50 protein-coding genes with one of them encoding a toxin protein. We also predicted over 30 small RNAs(s RNAs) in each strain, and most of them are involved in riboswitches. We found that six s RNA candidates that are related to bacterial virulence, including csp A and rli38, are specific to Chinese isolates. These results provide insight into the factors responsible for the difference in virulence among the different S. suis 2 isolates.

文摘Background and Aims:Endovascular implantation of iodine-125(125I)seeds strand combined with stent is an effective method of treatment for portal vein tumor thrombosis.The aim of this study was to develop a novel endovascular brachytherapy stent(EVB-Stent)and to evaluate its feasibility of use.Methods:An EVB-Stent was implanted into the main portal vein(MPV)in a live porcine model via the percutaneous transhepatic route.Blood samples were collected and tested before and after operation,as well as before euthanasia.Single-photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)combined with CT(SPECT/CT)scan were performed directly after operation and CT scan was performed 2 months after implantation.After the CT scan was performed,all animals were euthanized and histologically examined.Results:The novel stent was successfully positioned in all six pigs.No deterioration of liver function was observed during the 2-month follow-up period.SPECT/CT revealed the uniform distribution of radiation around the seeds strand,and the hottest spot was near the center of the MPV.The patency of the stented MPV was confirmed using CT scans.The tissue-accumulated absorbed dose was 31,822.11 mGy at 10 mm transversely away from the midpoint of the 125I seeds strand,with a half-life of 59.4 days.Pathological examination results showed no significant atrophy or inflammation of adjunct liver tissue,and no obvious intima thickening or thrombosis were detected in the stented MPV.Conclusions:A liver porcine model was used to demonstrate that the transhepatic placement of a novel endovascular brachytherapy stent,EVB-Stent,is both technically feasible and safe.

文摘A new insight into the promotion action of Co^2+ on both particle and metal deposition in Ni-diamond composite electrodeposition system was analyzed according to electrochemical measurements. The results showed that the addition of Co^2+ made particles content in deposits increased remarkably. The change of particles content in deposits was related inversely to the change of cathodic zero potential with the increase of the concentration of cobalt sulfate. Zero charge potential of cathode was shifted to much more negative region. The negative shift of the zero potential, combining with positive shift of the zeta potential, increased the electrostatic force between the particle-adsorbed metallic cations and the cathode. It not only benefits to the transportation of particles in solution towards cathode, but also shortens their residence time on cathodic surface. Meanwhile, entry of particles is also promoted. For metals deposition,reduction resistance of metallic cations rises greatly and deposition current at cathodic potentiodynamic polarization decreases after cobalt sulfate has been added into electrolyte. These factors are favorable for increasing particles content in deposits. In addition, physical model of diamond particles deposition state before and after the addition of Co^(2+)has been discussed.
