BACKGROUND Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)is one of the most common adverse events of medication use,and its incidence is increasing.However,early detection of DILI is a crucial challenge due to a lack of biomarkers a...BACKGROUND Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)is one of the most common adverse events of medication use,and its incidence is increasing.However,early detection of DILI is a crucial challenge due to a lack of biomarkers and noninvasive tests.AIM To identify salivary metabolic biomarkers of DILI for the future development of noninvasive diagnostic tools.METHODS Saliva samples from 31 DILI patients and 35 healthy controls(HCs)were subjected to untargeted metabolomics using ultrahigh-pressure liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.Subsequent analyses,including partial least squares-discriminant analysis modeling,t tests and weighted metabolite coexpression network analysis(WMCNA),were conducted to identify key differentially expressed metabolites(DEMs)and metabolite sets.Furthermore we utilized least absolute shrinkage and selection operato and random fores analyses for biomarker prediction.The use of each metabolite and metabolite set to detect DILI was evaluated with area under the receiver operating characteristic curves.RESULTS We found 247 differentially expressed salivary metabolites between the DILI group and the HC group.Using WMCNA,we identified a set of 8 DEMs closely related to liver injury for further prediction testing.Interestingly,the distinct separation of DILI patients and HCs was achieved with five metabolites,namely,12-hydroxydodecanoic acid,3-hydroxydecanoic acid,tetradecanedioic acid,hypoxanthine,and inosine(area under the curve:0.733-1).CONCLUSION Salivary metabolomics revealed previously unreported metabolic alterations and diagnostic biomarkers in the saliva of DILI patients.Our study may provide a potentially feasible and noninvasive diagnostic method for DILI,but further validation is needed.展开更多

Objective The activities and products of carbohydrate metabolism are involved in key processes of cancer.However,its relationship with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is unclear.Methods The cancer genome atlas(TCGA)-HCC ...Objective The activities and products of carbohydrate metabolism are involved in key processes of cancer.However,its relationship with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is unclear.Methods The cancer genome atlas(TCGA)-HCC and ICGC-LIRI-JP datasets were acquired via public databases.Differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between HCC and control samples in the TCGA-HCC dataset were identified and overlapped with 355 carbohydrate metabolism-related genes(CRGs)to obtain differentially expressed CRGs(DE-CRGs).Then,univariate Cox and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)analyses were applied to identify risk model genes,and HCC samples were divided into high/low-risk groups according to the median risk score.Next,gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA)was performed on the risk model genes.The sensitivity of the risk model to immunotherapy and chemotherapy was also explored.Results A total of 8 risk model genes,namely,G6PD,PFKFB4,ACAT1,ALDH2,ACYP1,OGDHL,ACADS,and TKTL1,were identified.Moreover,the risk score,cancer status,age,and pathologic T stage were strongly associated with the prognosis of HCC patients.Both the stromal score and immune score had significant negative/positive correlations with the risk score,reflecting the important role of the risk model in immunotherapy sensitivity.Furthermore,the stromal and immune scores had significant negative/positive correlations with risk scores,reflecting the important role of the risk model in immunotherapy sensitivity.Eventually,we found that high-/low-risk patients were more sensitive to 102 drugs,suggesting that the risk model exhibited sensitivity to chemotherapy drugs.The results of the experiments in HCC tissue samples validated the expression of the risk model genes.Conclusion Through bioinformatic analysis,we constructed a carbohydrate metabolism-related risk model for HCC,contributing to the prognosis prediction and treatment of HCC patients.展开更多
AIM:To assess the performance of macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer thickness(mGCIPLT)and 10-2 visual field(VF)parameters in detecting early glaucoma and evaluating the severity of advanced glaucoma.METHODS:T...AIM:To assess the performance of macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer thickness(mGCIPLT)and 10-2 visual field(VF)parameters in detecting early glaucoma and evaluating the severity of advanced glaucoma.METHODS:Totally 127 eyes from 89 participants(36 eyes of 19 healthy participants,45 eyes of 31 early glaucoma patients and 46 eyes of 39 advanced glaucoma patients)were included.The relationships between the optical coherence tomography(OCT)-derived parameters and VF sensitivity were determined.Patients with early glaucoma were divided into eyes with or without central 10°of the VF damages(CVFDs),and the diagnostic performances of OCT-derived parameters were assessed.RESULTS:In early glaucoma,the mGCIPLT was significantly correlated with 10-2 VF pattern standard deviation(PSD;with average mGCIPLT:β=-0.046,95%CI,-0.067 to-0.024,P<0.001).In advanced glaucoma,the mGCIPLT was related to the 24-2 VF mean deviation(MD;with average mGCIPLT:β=0.397,95%CI,0.199 to 0.595,P<0.001),10-2 VF MD(with average mGCIPLT:β=0.762,95%CI,0.485 to 1.038,P<0.001)and 24-2 VF PSD(with average mGCIPLT:β=0.244,95%CI,0.124 to 0.364,P<0.001).Except for the minimum and superotemporal mGCIPLT,the decrease of mGCIPLT in early glaucomatous eyes with CVFDs was more severe than that of early glaucomatous eyes without CVFDs.The area under the curve(AUC)of the average mGCIPLT(AUC=0.949,95%CI,0.868 to 0.982)was greater than that of the average circumpapillary retinal nerve fiber layer thickness(cpRNFLT;AUC=0.827,95%CI,0.674 to 0.918)and rim area(AUC=0.799,95%CI,0.610 to 0.907)in early glaucomatous eyes with CVFDs versus normal eyes.CONCLUSION:The 10-2 VF and mGCIPLT parameters are complementary to 24-2 VF,cpRNFLT and ONH parameters,especially in detecting early glaucoma with CVFDs and evaluating the severity of advanced glaucoma in group level.展开更多
Seed viability is an essential feature for genetic resource conservation as well as sustainable crop production.Long-term storage induces seed viability deterioration or seed aging,accompanied by the accumulation of t...Seed viability is an essential feature for genetic resource conservation as well as sustainable crop production.Long-term storage induces seed viability deterioration or seed aging,accompanied by the accumulation of toxic reactive oxygen species(ROS)to suppress seed germination.Controlled deterioration treatment(CDT)is a gen-eral approach for mimicking seed aging.The transcription factor ANAC089 was previously reported to modulate seed primary germination.In this study,we evaluated the ability of ANAC089 to control seed viability during aging.Compared with that in the wild-type line,the mutation of ANAC089 significantly increased H_(2)O_(2),thereby reducing seed viability after CDT,while the overexpression of ANAC089 reduced H_(2)O_(2) and improved seed long-evity,indicating a critical role for ANAC089 in maintaining seed viability through H_(2)O_(2) signaling.A series of stu-dies have shown that ANAC089 targets and negatively regulates the level of ABI5,an important transmitter of abscisic acid(ABA)signals,to affect seed viability after CDT.Furthermore,ABI5 negatively regulated the expres-sion of VTC2,which is involved in the biosynthesis of the antioxidant ascorbic acid and H_(2)O_(2) scavenging.As a result,ANAC089 attenuates the generation of H_(2)O_(2),thereby enhancing seed viability through the ABI5-VTC2 module during the seed aging process.Taken together,our results reveal a novel mechanism by which ANAC089 enhances seed viability by coordinating ABI5 and VTC2 expression,ultimately preventing the overac-cumulation of H_(2)O_(2),which would have led to reduced seed viability.展开更多

BACKGROUND Aneurysmal bone cyst(ABC)is a benign cystic of unknown etiology,characterized by multiple chambers and a high recurrence rate.Current treatment options include vascular embolization,surgical excision,curett...BACKGROUND Aneurysmal bone cyst(ABC)is a benign cystic of unknown etiology,characterized by multiple chambers and a high recurrence rate.Current treatment options include vascular embolization,surgical excision,curettage with cavity filling,sclerosing agent injection into the cavity,radiotherapy,and systemic drug therapy.Among these,surgical excision and curettage are the preferred treatment modalities.However,when the cyst reaches a large size,extensive removal of diseased tissue during surgery can hinder bone healing.In our department,we treated a case of a large ABC at the distal end of the femur in a child using the Ilizarov technique.The tumor was completely excised,and reconstruction was achieved through autologous femoral bone transfer.The follow-up at two years post-surgery indicated good results without tumor recurrence,and the growth and development of the child were essentially unaffected.CASE SUMMARY An 11-year-old boy was presented with an accidental fracture of his right leg.Despite having been examined at other hospitals,he had not received treatment.Given the potential for significant bone defects and the difficulty of the surgery,our doctors opted to use the Ilizarov technique to minimize harm to the patient.Upon admission,the patient underwent a needle biopsy and complete tumor resection-the Ilizarov technique assisted in the transport and reconstruction of the autologous femoral bone.Postoperatively,the patient exhibited regular followups,during which bone transport was gradually performed,and the external fixation frame was removed on time.Follow-up X-rays of the right lower limb displayed no tumor recurrence,with a normal appearance.Bone formation at the cutting site was satisfactory,and the union of the bone ends indicated good healing.After two years of follow-up,the patient had essentially returned to normal.CONCLUSION We successfully applied the Ilizarov technique to treat ABC,reducing the financial burden of patients and the pain of multiple surgeries.In cases where significant bone defects occur,the Ilizarov technique has demonstrated satisfactory therapeutic outcomes.展开更多

Objective: To investigate the status of anxiety, depression and quality of life and related factors in patients with COPD. Methods: One hundred patients admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease evaluated by anxiety self-assessment scale, depression self-assessment scale and quality of life rating scale for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Results: The incidence of anxiety in COPD patients was 82.5%, and the incidence of depression was 87.3%. The probability of both anxiety and depression was high, and the prevalence of women was significantly higher than that of men. Correlation analysis and logistic regression results showed that education level was negatively correlated with the occurrence of anxiety, and age was positively correlated with the occurrence of anxiety. Elderly patients were prone to anxiety and had lower quality of life. Conclusion: The older and less educated the COPD patients are, the higher the incidence of anxiety and depression, and the higher the incidence in female patients.展开更多

Devonian cutinitic liptobiolith is a special type of coal formed during the early evolutionary stage of land plants.The Baishaping and Damaidi Devonian coals are notable for their distinct papery,sheet-like texture,an...Devonian cutinitic liptobiolith is a special type of coal formed during the early evolutionary stage of land plants.The Baishaping and Damaidi Devonian coals are notable for their distinct papery,sheet-like texture,and unusually high cutinite content(>50%),belonging to typical cutinitic liptobiolith.They are bituminous coals and have a suppressed vitrinite reflectance.Compared with typical typeⅢkerogen,these liptobioliths are characterized by extremely high yields of volatile matter and high hydrogen contents owing to their enhanced cutinite contents.As indicated by pyrolysis and elemental analysis results,the Devonian cutinitic liptobioliths are dominated by typeⅠ-Ⅱkerogens and have an excellent potential to generate liquid hydrocarbons.The Baishaping cutinitic liptobioliths are mainly composed of ribbon-like thick-walled cutinites,with small amounts of thin-walled type.Vitrinite is only present in trace amounts and is dominated by telinite.Meanwhile,the Damaidi Devonian coals are primarily composed of ribbon-like thin-walled cutinites,followed by collotelinites which are usually sandwiched by cutinites.The different petrological characteristics of the Baishaping and Damaidi liptobioliths might indicate a structural variation in the coal-forming plant cuticles and two distinct coal-forming conditions.The molecular bio markers in the Devonian coals are mainly composed of C_(18)-C_(20)tetracyclic diterpenoids,which are assumed to be the dominant soluble constituent of the Devonian land-plant cuticles and might have played an important role in early land plant radiation.Other molecules include aromatic tetracyclic diterpenoids,3-5 ring polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and their methylated counterparts,and C_(16)-and C_(18)-monocarboxylic acids.n-Alkanes are present only in small amounts.The molecular composition of the cutinite-rich coals is unexpected,because cuticular waxes are one of the most important sources of n-alkanes.In general,the petrology and geochemistry of the Devonian cutinitic liptobiolith indicate a distinct structure and composition for the early land-plant cuticles,which is significantly different from that of the plant cuticles since Carboniferous.Devonian cutinitic liptobioliths are of great interest because of their unique petrography,geochemistry,coal-forming plants,and oil-prone potential.Studies on this unique coal type provide a better understanding of coal-forming plants,paleoenvironment,paleoclimate,and early land-plant evolution in the Devonian.展开更多
Background There have been no effective treatments for slowing or reversing Alzheimer’s disease(AD)until now.Growing preclinical evidence,including this study,suggests that mesenchymal stem cells-secreted exosomes(MS...Background There have been no effective treatments for slowing or reversing Alzheimer’s disease(AD)until now.Growing preclinical evidence,including this study,suggests that mesenchymal stem cells-secreted exosomes(MSCs-Exos)have the potential to cure AD.Aims The first three-arm,drug-intervention,phase I/II clinical trial was conducted to explore the safety and efficacy of allogenic human adipose MSCs-Exos(ahaMSCs-Exos)in patients with mild to moderate AD.Methods The eligible subjects were assigned to one of three dosage groups,intranasally administrated with ahaMSCs-Exos two times per week for 12 weeks,and underwent follow-up visits at weeks 16,24,36 and 48.Results No adverse events were reported.In the medium-dose arm,Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale–Cognitive section(ADAS-cog)scores decreased by 2.33(1.19)and the basic version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores increased by 2.38(0.58)at week 12 compared with baseline levels,indicating improved cognitive function.Moreover,the ADAS-cog scores in the medium-dose arm decreased continuously by 3.98 points until week 36.There were no significant differences in altered amyloid or tau deposition among the three arms,but hippocampal volume shrank less in the medium-dose arm to some extent.Conclusions Intranasal administration of ahaMSCs-Exos was safe and well tolerated,and a dose of at least 4×10^(8)particles could be selected for further clinical trials.展开更多

Herein,we present for the first time that anomalous metastable hexagonal close-packed Ni nanoparticles induced by heteroatom N doping encapsulated in carbon(N-hcp-Ni/C) can exhibit admirable catalytic performance for ammonia borane(AB) dehydrogenation, prominently outperforming conventional fcc Ni counterpart with similar morphology and favorably presenting the state-of-the-art level.Comprehensive experimental and theoretical studies unravel that unusual hcp phase engineering of Ni together with N doping could induce charge redistribution and modulate electronic structure, thereby facilitating H_(2)O adsorption and expediting H_(2)O dissociation(rate-determining step). As a result, AB dehydrogenation can be substantially boosted with the assistance of N-hcp-Ni/C. Realizing this purpose by utilizing sustainable and low-cost resources is still a big challenge. Herein, N, B co-doped carbon nanosheets are obtained through the proposed dual-template assisted approach by using methyl cellulose as the precursor. Due to the synergistic effects form the high surface area with the hierarchical porous structure, N/B dual doping, and a high degree of graphitization, the resultant carbon electrode exhibits a high capacitance of 572 F g^(-1)at 0.5 A g^(-1)and retains 281 F g^(-1)at 50 A g^(-1)in an acidic electrolyte. Furthermore, the symmetric device assembled using bacterial cellulose-based gel polymer electrolyte can deliver high energy density of 43 W h kg^(-1)and excellent cyclability with 97.8% capacity retention after 20 000 cycles in “water in salt” electrolyte. This work successfully realizes the fabrication of high-performance allcellulose-based quasi-solid-state supercapacitors, which brings a cost-effective insight into jointly designing electrodes and electrolytes for supporting highly efficient energy storage.展开更多
Sodium silicate modification can improve the overall performance of wood.The modification process has a great influence on the properties of modified wood.In this study,a new method was introduced to analyze the wood ...Sodium silicate modification can improve the overall performance of wood.The modification process has a great influence on the properties of modified wood.In this study,a new method was introduced to analyze the wood modification process,and the properties of modified wood were studied.Poplar wood was modified with sodium silicate by vacuum-pressure impregnation.After screening using single-factor experiments,an orthogonal experiment was carried out with solution concentration,impregnation time,impregnation pressure,and the cycle times as experimental factors.The modified poplar with the best properties was selected by fuzzy mathematics and characterized by SEM,FT-IR,XRD and TG.The results showed that some lignin and hemicellulose were removed from the wood due to the alkaline action of sodium silicate,and the orderly crystal area of poplar became disorderly,resulting in the reduction of crystallinity of the modified poplar wood.FT-IR analysis showed that sodium silicate was hydrolyzed to form polysilicic acid in wood,and structural analysis revealed the formation of Si-O-Si and Si-O-C,indicating that sodium silicate reacted with fibers on the wood cell wall.TG-DTG curves showed that the final residual mass of modified poplar wood increased from 25%to 67%,and the temperature of the maximum loss rate decreased from 343℃ to 276℃.The heat release and smoke release of modified poplar wood decreased obviously.This kind of material with high strength and fire resistance can be used in the outdoor building and indoor furniture.展开更多
Broadband low-coherence light is considered to be an effective way to suppress laser plasma instability.Recent studies have demonstrated the ability of low-coherence laser facilities to reduce back-scattering during b...Broadband low-coherence light is considered to be an effective way to suppress laser plasma instability.Recent studies have demonstrated the ability of low-coherence laser facilities to reduce back-scattering during beam–target coupling.However,to ensure simultaneous low coherence and high energy,complex spectral modulation methods and amplification routes have to be adopted.In this work,we propose the use of a random fiber laser(RFL)as the seed source.The spectral features of this RFL can be carefully tailored to provide a good match with the gain characteristics of the laser amplification medium,thus enabling efficient amplification while maintaining low coherence.First,a theoretical model is constructed to give a comprehensive description of the output characteristics of the spectrum-tailored RFL,after which the designed RFL is experimentally realized as a seed source.Through precise pulse shaping and efficient regenerative amplification,a shaped random laser pulse output of 28 mJ is obtained,which is the first random laser system with megawatt-class peak power that is able to achieve low coherence and efficient spectrum-conformal regenerative amplification.展开更多
BACKGROUND Lupus mesenteric vasculitis(LMV)is a serious condition that may occur as an acute manifestation of gastrointestinal(GI)involvement and is not easily diagnosed by physicians.Delayed diagnosis and treatment o...BACKGROUND Lupus mesenteric vasculitis(LMV)is a serious condition that may occur as an acute manifestation of gastrointestinal(GI)involvement and is not easily diagnosed by physicians.Delayed diagnosis and treatment of LMV may lead to rapid disease progression and can be life threatening.CASE SUMMARY A previously healthy 27-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain following a history of fatigue and consumption of cold water.Laboratory invest-igations,physical examinations,and enhanced abdominal computed tomography(CT)suggested systemic lupus erythematosus complicated by LMV.She received treatments,such as GI decompression,somatostatin,glucocorticoids,and immu-nosuppressants,and was evaluated using color ultrasonography.Twenty days later,the patient reported no stomach discomfort and was able to consume semi-liquid food.Laboratory investigations showed that inflammatory factors decreased to normal levels and complement levels increased slightly.One year after discharged,she recovered with methylprednisolone being tapered to 4 mg per day,mycophenolate mofetil to 0.75 g bid,and hydroxychloroquine to 0.2 g bid;however,only C3 complement level was slightly below the normal level.CONCLUSION Early diagnosis of LMV is essential for successful treatment;this depends on a combination of clinical manifestations,laboratory investigations,and imaging findings.Enhanced CT is preferred,but ultrasonography can be used for prompt screening and follow-up.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)is one of the most common adverse events of medication use,and its incidence is increasing.However,early detection of DILI is a crucial challenge due to a lack of biomarkers and noninvasive tests.AIM To identify salivary metabolic biomarkers of DILI for the future development of noninvasive diagnostic tools.METHODS Saliva samples from 31 DILI patients and 35 healthy controls(HCs)were subjected to untargeted metabolomics using ultrahigh-pressure liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.Subsequent analyses,including partial least squares-discriminant analysis modeling,t tests and weighted metabolite coexpression network analysis(WMCNA),were conducted to identify key differentially expressed metabolites(DEMs)and metabolite sets.Furthermore we utilized least absolute shrinkage and selection operato and random fores analyses for biomarker prediction.The use of each metabolite and metabolite set to detect DILI was evaluated with area under the receiver operating characteristic curves.RESULTS We found 247 differentially expressed salivary metabolites between the DILI group and the HC group.Using WMCNA,we identified a set of 8 DEMs closely related to liver injury for further prediction testing.Interestingly,the distinct separation of DILI patients and HCs was achieved with five metabolites,namely,12-hydroxydodecanoic acid,3-hydroxydecanoic acid,tetradecanedioic acid,hypoxanthine,and inosine(area under the curve:0.733-1).CONCLUSION Salivary metabolomics revealed previously unreported metabolic alterations and diagnostic biomarkers in the saliva of DILI patients.Our study may provide a potentially feasible and noninvasive diagnostic method for DILI,but further validation is needed.

文摘Integrated satellite unmanned aerial vehicle relay networks(ISUAVRNs)have become a prominent topic in recent years.This paper investigates the average secrecy capacity(ASC)for reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)-enabled ISUAVRNs.Especially,an eve is considered to intercept the legitimate information from the considered secrecy system.Besides,we get detailed expressions for the ASC of the regarded secrecy system with the aid of the reconfigurable intelligent.Furthermore,to gain insightful results of the major parameters on the ASC in high signalto-noise ratio regime,the approximate investigations are further gotten,which give an efficient method to value the secrecy analysis.At last,some representative computer results are obtained to prove the theoretical findings.

文摘Objective The activities and products of carbohydrate metabolism are involved in key processes of cancer.However,its relationship with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is unclear.Methods The cancer genome atlas(TCGA)-HCC and ICGC-LIRI-JP datasets were acquired via public databases.Differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between HCC and control samples in the TCGA-HCC dataset were identified and overlapped with 355 carbohydrate metabolism-related genes(CRGs)to obtain differentially expressed CRGs(DE-CRGs).Then,univariate Cox and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)analyses were applied to identify risk model genes,and HCC samples were divided into high/low-risk groups according to the median risk score.Next,gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA)was performed on the risk model genes.The sensitivity of the risk model to immunotherapy and chemotherapy was also explored.Results A total of 8 risk model genes,namely,G6PD,PFKFB4,ACAT1,ALDH2,ACYP1,OGDHL,ACADS,and TKTL1,were identified.Moreover,the risk score,cancer status,age,and pathologic T stage were strongly associated with the prognosis of HCC patients.Both the stromal score and immune score had significant negative/positive correlations with the risk score,reflecting the important role of the risk model in immunotherapy sensitivity.Furthermore,the stromal and immune scores had significant negative/positive correlations with risk scores,reflecting the important role of the risk model in immunotherapy sensitivity.Eventually,we found that high-/low-risk patients were more sensitive to 102 drugs,suggesting that the risk model exhibited sensitivity to chemotherapy drugs.The results of the experiments in HCC tissue samples validated the expression of the risk model genes.Conclusion Through bioinformatic analysis,we constructed a carbohydrate metabolism-related risk model for HCC,contributing to the prognosis prediction and treatment of HCC patients.

文摘AIM:To assess the performance of macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer thickness(mGCIPLT)and 10-2 visual field(VF)parameters in detecting early glaucoma and evaluating the severity of advanced glaucoma.METHODS:Totally 127 eyes from 89 participants(36 eyes of 19 healthy participants,45 eyes of 31 early glaucoma patients and 46 eyes of 39 advanced glaucoma patients)were included.The relationships between the optical coherence tomography(OCT)-derived parameters and VF sensitivity were determined.Patients with early glaucoma were divided into eyes with or without central 10°of the VF damages(CVFDs),and the diagnostic performances of OCT-derived parameters were assessed.RESULTS:In early glaucoma,the mGCIPLT was significantly correlated with 10-2 VF pattern standard deviation(PSD;with average mGCIPLT:β=-0.046,95%CI,-0.067 to-0.024,P<0.001).In advanced glaucoma,the mGCIPLT was related to the 24-2 VF mean deviation(MD;with average mGCIPLT:β=0.397,95%CI,0.199 to 0.595,P<0.001),10-2 VF MD(with average mGCIPLT:β=0.762,95%CI,0.485 to 1.038,P<0.001)and 24-2 VF PSD(with average mGCIPLT:β=0.244,95%CI,0.124 to 0.364,P<0.001).Except for the minimum and superotemporal mGCIPLT,the decrease of mGCIPLT in early glaucomatous eyes with CVFDs was more severe than that of early glaucomatous eyes without CVFDs.The area under the curve(AUC)of the average mGCIPLT(AUC=0.949,95%CI,0.868 to 0.982)was greater than that of the average circumpapillary retinal nerve fiber layer thickness(cpRNFLT;AUC=0.827,95%CI,0.674 to 0.918)and rim area(AUC=0.799,95%CI,0.610 to 0.907)in early glaucomatous eyes with CVFDs versus normal eyes.CONCLUSION:The 10-2 VF and mGCIPLT parameters are complementary to 24-2 VF,cpRNFLT and ONH parameters,especially in detecting early glaucoma with CVFDs and evaluating the severity of advanced glaucoma in group level.

文摘Seed viability is an essential feature for genetic resource conservation as well as sustainable crop production.Long-term storage induces seed viability deterioration or seed aging,accompanied by the accumulation of toxic reactive oxygen species(ROS)to suppress seed germination.Controlled deterioration treatment(CDT)is a gen-eral approach for mimicking seed aging.The transcription factor ANAC089 was previously reported to modulate seed primary germination.In this study,we evaluated the ability of ANAC089 to control seed viability during aging.Compared with that in the wild-type line,the mutation of ANAC089 significantly increased H_(2)O_(2),thereby reducing seed viability after CDT,while the overexpression of ANAC089 reduced H_(2)O_(2) and improved seed long-evity,indicating a critical role for ANAC089 in maintaining seed viability through H_(2)O_(2) signaling.A series of stu-dies have shown that ANAC089 targets and negatively regulates the level of ABI5,an important transmitter of abscisic acid(ABA)signals,to affect seed viability after CDT.Furthermore,ABI5 negatively regulated the expres-sion of VTC2,which is involved in the biosynthesis of the antioxidant ascorbic acid and H_(2)O_(2) scavenging.As a result,ANAC089 attenuates the generation of H_(2)O_(2),thereby enhancing seed viability through the ABI5-VTC2 module during the seed aging process.Taken together,our results reveal a novel mechanism by which ANAC089 enhances seed viability by coordinating ABI5 and VTC2 expression,ultimately preventing the overac-cumulation of H_(2)O_(2),which would have led to reduced seed viability.

文摘Carbon monoxide(CO)and nitric oxide(NO)are signal molecules that enhance plant adaptation to environmental stimuli.Auxin is an essential phytohormone for plant growth and development.CO and NO play crucial roles in modulating the plant’s response to iron deficiency.Iron deficiency leads to an increase in the activity of heme oxygenase(HO)and the subsequent generation of CO.Additionally,it alters the polar subcellular distribution of Pin-Formed 1(PIN1)proteins,resulting in enhanced auxin transport.This alteration,in turn,leads to an increase in NO accumulation.Furthermore,iron deficiency enhances the activity of ferric chelate reductase(FCR),as well as the expression of the Fer-like iron deficiency-induced transcription factor 1(FIT)and the ferric reduction oxidase 2(FRO2)genes in plant roots.Overexpression of the long hypocotyl 1(HY1)gene,which encodes heme oxygenase,or the CO donor treatment resulted in enhanced basipetal auxin transport,higher FCR activity,and the expression of FIT and FRO2 genes under Fe deficiency.Here,a potential mechanism is proposed:CO and NO interact with auxin to address iron deficiency stress.CO alters auxin transport,enhancing its accumulation in roots and up-regulating key iron-related genes like FRO2 and IRT1.Elevated auxin levels affect NO signaling,leading to greater sensitivity in root development.This interplay promotes FCR activity,which is crucial for iron absorption.Together,these molecules enhance iron uptake and root growth,revealing a novel aspect of plant physiology in adapting to environmental stress.

文摘Purpose–This paper analyzes the application of digital twin technology in the field of intelligent operation and maintenance of high-speed railway infrastructure from the perspective of top-level design.Design/methodology/approach–This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the definition,connotations,characteristics and key technologies of digital twin technology.It also conducts a thorough analysis of the current state of digital twin applications,with a particular focus on the overall requirements for intelligent operation and maintenance of high-speed railway infrastructure.Using the Jinan Yellow River Bridge on the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway as a case study,the paper details the construction process of the twin system from the perspectives of system architecture,theoretical definition,model construction and platform design.Findings–Digital twin technology can play an important role in the whole life cycle management,fault prediction and condition monitoring in the field of high-speed rail operation and maintenance.Digital twin technology is of great significance to improve the intelligent level of high-speed railway operation and management.Originality/value–This paper systematically summarizes the main components of digital twin railway.The general framework of the digital twin bridge is given,and its application in the field of intelligent operation and maintenance is prospected.
文摘BACKGROUND Aneurysmal bone cyst(ABC)is a benign cystic of unknown etiology,characterized by multiple chambers and a high recurrence rate.Current treatment options include vascular embolization,surgical excision,curettage with cavity filling,sclerosing agent injection into the cavity,radiotherapy,and systemic drug therapy.Among these,surgical excision and curettage are the preferred treatment modalities.However,when the cyst reaches a large size,extensive removal of diseased tissue during surgery can hinder bone healing.In our department,we treated a case of a large ABC at the distal end of the femur in a child using the Ilizarov technique.The tumor was completely excised,and reconstruction was achieved through autologous femoral bone transfer.The follow-up at two years post-surgery indicated good results without tumor recurrence,and the growth and development of the child were essentially unaffected.CASE SUMMARY An 11-year-old boy was presented with an accidental fracture of his right leg.Despite having been examined at other hospitals,he had not received treatment.Given the potential for significant bone defects and the difficulty of the surgery,our doctors opted to use the Ilizarov technique to minimize harm to the patient.Upon admission,the patient underwent a needle biopsy and complete tumor resection-the Ilizarov technique assisted in the transport and reconstruction of the autologous femoral bone.Postoperatively,the patient exhibited regular followups,during which bone transport was gradually performed,and the external fixation frame was removed on time.Follow-up X-rays of the right lower limb displayed no tumor recurrence,with a normal appearance.Bone formation at the cutting site was satisfactory,and the union of the bone ends indicated good healing.After two years of follow-up,the patient had essentially returned to normal.CONCLUSION We successfully applied the Ilizarov technique to treat ABC,reducing the financial burden of patients and the pain of multiple surgeries.In cases where significant bone defects occur,the Ilizarov technique has demonstrated satisfactory therapeutic outcomes.
文摘The growth of multi-mode Richtmyer-Meshkov instability under multiple impingements and the effect of initial shock strength on the growth of RMI are numerically investigated. We obtain the time evolution of turbulent mixing zone width for initial shock with different strength. The results show that the turbulent mixing zone width grows in a different manner at different stage but strictly in a similar way for the initial shock with different strength. Also, the initial shock strength has a significant effect on the growth rate of turbulent mixing zone width, especially before reshock, but can not change the growth laws in the whole process.
文摘Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a common and frequently occurring disease, which not only has a higher fatality rate, but also leads to loss of labor force and an obvious decrease in the quality of life in the course of long-term disease, patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with anxiety and depression are a major public health problem. Objective: To investigate the status of anxiety, depression and quality of life and related factors in patients with COPD. Methods: One hundred patients admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease evaluated by anxiety self-assessment scale, depression self-assessment scale and quality of life rating scale for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Results: The incidence of anxiety in COPD patients was 82.5%, and the incidence of depression was 87.3%. The probability of both anxiety and depression was high, and the prevalence of women was significantly higher than that of men. Correlation analysis and logistic regression results showed that education level was negatively correlated with the occurrence of anxiety, and age was positively correlated with the occurrence of anxiety. Elderly patients were prone to anxiety and had lower quality of life. Conclusion: The older and less educated the COPD patients are, the higher the incidence of anxiety and depression, and the higher the incidence in female patients.

文摘Plant architecture includes vital traits that influence and benefit crops,and economically important trees.Different plant architectures provide natural beauty.Weeping ornamental plants are aesthetically appealing to people.The regulatory mechanism controlling the weeping trait is poorly understood in crape myrtle.To investigate the weeping trait mechanism,transcriptional profiling of different organs in weeping and upright crape myrtle was performed based on phenotype.Phenotypic and histological analyses demonstrated that endodermal cells were absent,and that new shoot phenotypes could be rescued by the GA3 treatment of weeping plants.The transcriptional analysis and coexpression network analysis(WGCNA)of differentially expressed genes indicated that GA synthesis and signal transduction pathways play a role in weeping traits.When the expression level of a negative element of GA signaling,LfiGRAS1,was reduced by virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS),new branches grew in infected plants in a negatively geotropic manner.An integrated analysis implied that GA had a strong influence on weeping crape myrtle by interacting with other factors.This study helps to elucidate the mechanism governing the weeping trait and can improve the efficiency of breeding in Lagerstroemia.

文摘Devonian cutinitic liptobiolith is a special type of coal formed during the early evolutionary stage of land plants.The Baishaping and Damaidi Devonian coals are notable for their distinct papery,sheet-like texture,and unusually high cutinite content(>50%),belonging to typical cutinitic liptobiolith.They are bituminous coals and have a suppressed vitrinite reflectance.Compared with typical typeⅢkerogen,these liptobioliths are characterized by extremely high yields of volatile matter and high hydrogen contents owing to their enhanced cutinite contents.As indicated by pyrolysis and elemental analysis results,the Devonian cutinitic liptobioliths are dominated by typeⅠ-Ⅱkerogens and have an excellent potential to generate liquid hydrocarbons.The Baishaping cutinitic liptobioliths are mainly composed of ribbon-like thick-walled cutinites,with small amounts of thin-walled type.Vitrinite is only present in trace amounts and is dominated by telinite.Meanwhile,the Damaidi Devonian coals are primarily composed of ribbon-like thin-walled cutinites,followed by collotelinites which are usually sandwiched by cutinites.The different petrological characteristics of the Baishaping and Damaidi liptobioliths might indicate a structural variation in the coal-forming plant cuticles and two distinct coal-forming conditions.The molecular bio markers in the Devonian coals are mainly composed of C_(18)-C_(20)tetracyclic diterpenoids,which are assumed to be the dominant soluble constituent of the Devonian land-plant cuticles and might have played an important role in early land plant radiation.Other molecules include aromatic tetracyclic diterpenoids,3-5 ring polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and their methylated counterparts,and C_(16)-and C_(18)-monocarboxylic acids.n-Alkanes are present only in small amounts.The molecular composition of the cutinite-rich coals is unexpected,because cuticular waxes are one of the most important sources of n-alkanes.In general,the petrology and geochemistry of the Devonian cutinitic liptobiolith indicate a distinct structure and composition for the early land-plant cuticles,which is significantly different from that of the plant cuticles since Carboniferous.Devonian cutinitic liptobioliths are of great interest because of their unique petrography,geochemistry,coal-forming plants,and oil-prone potential.Studies on this unique coal type provide a better understanding of coal-forming plants,paleoenvironment,paleoclimate,and early land-plant evolution in the Devonian.

文摘Background There have been no effective treatments for slowing or reversing Alzheimer’s disease(AD)until now.Growing preclinical evidence,including this study,suggests that mesenchymal stem cells-secreted exosomes(MSCs-Exos)have the potential to cure AD.Aims The first three-arm,drug-intervention,phase I/II clinical trial was conducted to explore the safety and efficacy of allogenic human adipose MSCs-Exos(ahaMSCs-Exos)in patients with mild to moderate AD.Methods The eligible subjects were assigned to one of three dosage groups,intranasally administrated with ahaMSCs-Exos two times per week for 12 weeks,and underwent follow-up visits at weeks 16,24,36 and 48.Results No adverse events were reported.In the medium-dose arm,Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale–Cognitive section(ADAS-cog)scores decreased by 2.33(1.19)and the basic version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores increased by 2.38(0.58)at week 12 compared with baseline levels,indicating improved cognitive function.Moreover,the ADAS-cog scores in the medium-dose arm decreased continuously by 3.98 points until week 36.There were no significant differences in altered amyloid or tau deposition among the three arms,but hippocampal volume shrank less in the medium-dose arm to some extent.Conclusions Intranasal administration of ahaMSCs-Exos was safe and well tolerated,and a dose of at least 4×10^(8)particles could be selected for further clinical trials.

文摘Adoptive cellular immunotherapy with chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T cells has emerged as a novel modality for treating relapsed and/or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma(B-NHL).With increasing approval of CAR T-cell products and advances in CAR T cell therapy,CAR T cells are expected to be used in a growing number of cases.However,CAR T-cell-associated toxicities can be severe or even fatal,thus compromising the survival benefit from this therapy.Standardizing and studying the clinical management of these toxicities are imperative.In contrast to other hematological malignancies,such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia and multiple myeloma,anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in B-NHL have several distinctive features,most notably local cytokine-release syndrome(CRS).However,previously published guidelines have provided few specific recommendations for the grading and management of toxicities associated with CAR T-cell treatment for B-NHL.Consequently,we developed this consensus for the prevention,recognition,and management of these toxicities,on the basis of published literature regarding the management of anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities and the clinical experience of multiple Chinese institutions.This consensus refines a grading system and classification of CRS in B-NHL and corresponding measures for CRS management,and delineates comprehensive principles and exploratory recommendations for managing anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in addition to CRS.

文摘Developing high-performing non-noble transition metal catalysts for H_(2) evolution from chemical hydrogen storage materials is of great significance for the hydrogen economy system, yet challenging. Herein,we present for the first time that anomalous metastable hexagonal close-packed Ni nanoparticles induced by heteroatom N doping encapsulated in carbon(N-hcp-Ni/C) can exhibit admirable catalytic performance for ammonia borane(AB) dehydrogenation, prominently outperforming conventional fcc Ni counterpart with similar morphology and favorably presenting the state-of-the-art level.Comprehensive experimental and theoretical studies unravel that unusual hcp phase engineering of Ni together with N doping could induce charge redistribution and modulate electronic structure, thereby facilitating H_(2)O adsorption and expediting H_(2)O dissociation(rate-determining step). As a result, AB dehydrogenation can be substantially boosted with the assistance of N-hcp-Ni/C. Our proposed strategy highlights that unconventional crystal phase engineering coupled with non-metal heteroatom doping is a promising avenue to construct advanced transition metal catalysts for future renewable energy technologies.

文摘The key to construct high-energy supercapacitors is to maximize the capacitance of electrode and the voltage of the device. Realizing this purpose by utilizing sustainable and low-cost resources is still a big challenge. Herein, N, B co-doped carbon nanosheets are obtained through the proposed dual-template assisted approach by using methyl cellulose as the precursor. Due to the synergistic effects form the high surface area with the hierarchical porous structure, N/B dual doping, and a high degree of graphitization, the resultant carbon electrode exhibits a high capacitance of 572 F g^(-1)at 0.5 A g^(-1)and retains 281 F g^(-1)at 50 A g^(-1)in an acidic electrolyte. Furthermore, the symmetric device assembled using bacterial cellulose-based gel polymer electrolyte can deliver high energy density of 43 W h kg^(-1)and excellent cyclability with 97.8% capacity retention after 20 000 cycles in “water in salt” electrolyte. This work successfully realizes the fabrication of high-performance allcellulose-based quasi-solid-state supercapacitors, which brings a cost-effective insight into jointly designing electrodes and electrolytes for supporting highly efficient energy storage.

文摘Sodium silicate modification can improve the overall performance of wood.The modification process has a great influence on the properties of modified wood.In this study,a new method was introduced to analyze the wood modification process,and the properties of modified wood were studied.Poplar wood was modified with sodium silicate by vacuum-pressure impregnation.After screening using single-factor experiments,an orthogonal experiment was carried out with solution concentration,impregnation time,impregnation pressure,and the cycle times as experimental factors.The modified poplar with the best properties was selected by fuzzy mathematics and characterized by SEM,FT-IR,XRD and TG.The results showed that some lignin and hemicellulose were removed from the wood due to the alkaline action of sodium silicate,and the orderly crystal area of poplar became disorderly,resulting in the reduction of crystallinity of the modified poplar wood.FT-IR analysis showed that sodium silicate was hydrolyzed to form polysilicic acid in wood,and structural analysis revealed the formation of Si-O-Si and Si-O-C,indicating that sodium silicate reacted with fibers on the wood cell wall.TG-DTG curves showed that the final residual mass of modified poplar wood increased from 25%to 67%,and the temperature of the maximum loss rate decreased from 343℃ to 276℃.The heat release and smoke release of modified poplar wood decreased obviously.This kind of material with high strength and fire resistance can be used in the outdoor building and indoor furniture.

文摘Broadband low-coherence light is considered to be an effective way to suppress laser plasma instability.Recent studies have demonstrated the ability of low-coherence laser facilities to reduce back-scattering during beam–target coupling.However,to ensure simultaneous low coherence and high energy,complex spectral modulation methods and amplification routes have to be adopted.In this work,we propose the use of a random fiber laser(RFL)as the seed source.The spectral features of this RFL can be carefully tailored to provide a good match with the gain characteristics of the laser amplification medium,thus enabling efficient amplification while maintaining low coherence.First,a theoretical model is constructed to give a comprehensive description of the output characteristics of the spectrum-tailored RFL,after which the designed RFL is experimentally realized as a seed source.Through precise pulse shaping and efficient regenerative amplification,a shaped random laser pulse output of 28 mJ is obtained,which is the first random laser system with megawatt-class peak power that is able to achieve low coherence and efficient spectrum-conformal regenerative amplification.
文摘BACKGROUND Lupus mesenteric vasculitis(LMV)is a serious condition that may occur as an acute manifestation of gastrointestinal(GI)involvement and is not easily diagnosed by physicians.Delayed diagnosis and treatment of LMV may lead to rapid disease progression and can be life threatening.CASE SUMMARY A previously healthy 27-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain following a history of fatigue and consumption of cold water.Laboratory invest-igations,physical examinations,and enhanced abdominal computed tomography(CT)suggested systemic lupus erythematosus complicated by LMV.She received treatments,such as GI decompression,somatostatin,glucocorticoids,and immu-nosuppressants,and was evaluated using color ultrasonography.Twenty days later,the patient reported no stomach discomfort and was able to consume semi-liquid food.Laboratory investigations showed that inflammatory factors decreased to normal levels and complement levels increased slightly.One year after discharged,she recovered with methylprednisolone being tapered to 4 mg per day,mycophenolate mofetil to 0.75 g bid,and hydroxychloroquine to 0.2 g bid;however,only C3 complement level was slightly below the normal level.CONCLUSION Early diagnosis of LMV is essential for successful treatment;this depends on a combination of clinical manifestations,laboratory investigations,and imaging findings.Enhanced CT is preferred,but ultrasonography can be used for prompt screening and follow-up.
