Occasional irregular initial solidification phenomena,including stickers,deep oscillation marks,depressions,and surface cracks of strand shells in continuous casting molds,are important limitations for developing the high-efficiency continuous casting of steels.The application of mold thermal monitoring(MTM) systems,which use thermocouples to detect and respond to temperature variations in molds,has become an effective method to address irregular initial solidification phenomena.Such systems are widely applied in numerous steel companies for sticker breakout prediction.However,monitoring the surface defects of strands remains immature.Hence,indepth research is necessary to utilize the potential advantages and comprehensive monitoring of MTM systems.This paper summarizes what is included in the irregular initial solidification phenomena and systematically reviews the current state of research on these phenomena by the MTM systems.Furthermore,the influences of mold slag behavior on monitoring these phenomena are analyzed.Finally,the remaining problems of the formation mechanisms and investigations of irregular initial solidification phenomena are discussed,and future research directions are proposed. 展开更多

Pulse wave contains human physiological and pathological information. Different people will exhibit different characteristics, and hence determining the characteristic points of the pulse wave of human physiological health makes sense. It is common that we extract the characteristic value of pulse wave signal with the method based on wavelet transform on a small scale, and then determine the locations of the characteristic points by modulus maxima and modulus minima. Before determining characteristic value by detecting modulus maxima and modulus minima, we need to determine every period of the pulse wave. This paper presents a new kind of adaptive threshold determination method which is more effective. It can accurately determine every period of the pulse wave, and then extract characteristic values by modulus maxima and modulus minima in every period of the pulse wave. The method presented in this paper promotes the research utilizing pulse wave on health life. 展开更多

Energy-Efficient Computation Offloading and Resource Allocation in Fog Computing for Internet of Everything 被引量:20

With the dawning of the Internet of Everything(IoE) era, more and more novel applications are being deployed. However, resource constrained devices cannot fulfill the resource-requirements of these applications. This paper investigates the computation offloading problem of the coexistence and synergy between fog computing and cloud computing in IoE by jointly optimizing the offloading decisions, the allocation of computation resource and transmit power. Specifically, we propose an energy-efficient computation offloading and resource allocation(ECORA) scheme to minimize the system cost. The simulation results verify the proposed scheme can effectively decrease the system cost by up to 50% compared with the existing schemes, especially for the scenario that the computation resource of fog computing is relatively small or the number of devices increases. 展开更多

In rice (Oryza sativa L.), yield is related to characteristics of branches and spikelets. To investigate the effects of late sowing date on differentiation and degeneration of spikelets in rice, field experiments were conducted in Chongzhou and Hanyuan, China. Differentiation and survival of branches and spikelets in Hanyuan were lower than that of Chongzhou, whereas degeneration was greater than that of Chongzhou. In Chongzhou, sowing date affected differentiation and survival of primary, secondary, and total branches, as well as differentiation and degeneration of secondary and total spikelets. In Hanyuan, sowing date affected degeneration of secondary and total branches, and the survival and degeneration of primary spikelets. Late-sown plants experienced higher temperatures in the jointing to heading period, and there were higher sunshine hours. Rainfall and humidity were higher in Chongzhou, but lower in Hanyuan. Late sowing increased differentiation, degeneration, and survival number of branches and spikelets in Chongzhou. However, in Hanyuan, late sowing increased differentiation and degeneration of branches, but decreased survival of branches, which reduced spikelet differentiation and degeneration, resulting in fewer branches. Thus, the key to higher yield in Chongzhou was to increase differentiation of spikelets, whereas in Hanyuan, it was to reduce degeneration of branches and spikelets. 展开更多

Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)is a significant cause of acute lower respiratory tract infection(ALRTI)in children underfive years of age.Between 2017 and 2021,396 complete sequences of the RSV F gene were obtained from 500 RSV-positive throat swabs collected from ten hospitals across nine provinces in China.In addition,151 sequences from China were sourced from GenBank and GISAID,making a total of 549 RSV F gene sequences subjected to analysis.Phylogenetic and genetic diversity analyses revealed that the RSV F genes circulating in China from 2017 to 2021 have remained relatively conserved,although some amino acids(AAs)have undergone changes.AA mutations with frequencies10%were identified at six sites and the p27 region:V384I(site I),N276S(site II),R213S(siteØ),and K124N(p27)for RSV A;F45L(site I),M152I/L172Q/S173 L/I185V/K191R(site V),and R202Q/I206M/Q209R(siteØ)for RSV B.Comparing mutational frequencies in RSV-F before and after 2020 revealed minor changes for RSV A,while the K191R,I206M,and Q209R frequencies increased by over 10%in RSV B.Notably,the nirsevimab-resistant mutation,S211N in RSV B,increased in frequency from 0%to 1.15%.Both representative strains aligned with the predicted RSV-F structures of their respective prototypes exhibited similar conformations,with low root-mean-square deviation values.These results could provide foundational data from China for the development of RSV mAbs and vaccines. 展开更多

Trillions of microbes reside in the human body and participate in multiple physiological and pathophysiological processes that affect host health throughout the life cycle. The microbiome is hallmarked by distinctive compositional and functional features across different life periods.Accumulating evidence has shown that microbes residing in the human body may play fundamental roles in infant development and the maturation of the immune system. Gut microbes are thought to be essential for the facilitation of infantile and childhood development and immunity by assisting in breaking down food substances to liberate nutrients, protecting against pathogens, stimulating or modulating the immune system, and exerting control over the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis.This review aims to summarize the current understanding of the colonization and development of the gut microbiota in early life, highlighting the recent findings regarding the role of intestinal microbes in pediatric diseases. Furthermore, we also discuss the microbiota-mediated therapeutics that can reconfigure bacterial communities to treat dysbiosis. 展开更多

Importance:Viral encephalitis and meningitis are severe infectious diseases responsible for substantial morbidity and mortality in children.Enteroviruses are typically the most common causative agents of viral encephalitis and meningitis.Objective:This study aimed to investigate the etiology of viral encephalitis and meningitis among children in Hebei province,China.Methods:Cerebrospinal fluid samples from children with viral encephalitis (n=309) and meningitis (n=133) were collected between Nov 2013 and Dec 2015 and viral pathogens were identified by real-time and multiplex PCR.Amplification and sequencing of partial VP1 genes was used to type enteroviruses.Results:The causative pathogen was successfully detected in 176 (57%) patients with viral encephalitis and 82 (61.7%) patients with viral meningitis.The most common causative agents of both viral encephalitis and meningitis were enteroviruses (55.7% and 64.6% of cases,respectively).The most common enterovirus serotypes identified were echovirus 18,echovirus 6 and echovirus 30.Echovirus 18 accounted for 74.4% of all typed enteroviruses and caused a viral encephalitis and meningitis outbreak in Hebei province in 2015.By contrast,the major enterovirus serotypes circulating in 2014 were echovims 6 and echovirus 30.Interpretation:Enteroviruses were the main causative agents of viral encephalitis and meningitis in children in Hebei province from Nov 2013 to Dec 2015.Echovirus 18 became the leading cause of viral encephalitis and meningitis for the first time in Hebei province in 2015. 展开更多

Web-based cognitive interventions on subjective cognitive impairment in cancer survivors:A systemic review

Objective:Cancer survivors have experienced subjective cognitive impairment(SCI)when they received cancer diagnoses or treatments.Their psychosocial and emotional statuses were also impacted.With the advancement of web technologies,web-based cognitive interventions have been implemented in the management and the alleviation of the SCI,the psychosocial distress,and the emotional distress in cancer survivors.This review aimed to summarize the intervention contents of web-based cognitive interventions for SCI,and to explore the effects of the interventions on SCI,psychosocial status,and emotional health.Methods:Six databases(CINAHL Plus,Cochrane Library,Embase,APA PsycInfo,PubMed and CNKI)were searched from the establishment of databases up to December 2023.Literature references were also manually searched for related articles.Results:This review contained 21 studies that covered the contents of web-based cognitive interventions,such as computer-assisted cognitive training,online cognitive rehabilitation,cognitive behavior therapy with the Internet,telehealth physical exercise,and web-based mindfulness interventions.The effects of web-based cognitive interventions positively impacted SCI for cancer survivors.Also,these interventions showed varying degrees of effectiveness in alleviating psychosocial and emotional distresses.Conclusion:By summarizingfive types of cognitive intervention contents delivered via web technology,this review demonstrated that web-based cognitive interventions optimized SCI and overall psychosocial and emotional statuses for the cancer survivors.It is recommended that future research focus on the development of customized web-based cognitive interventions for individuals with SCI,along with their psychosocial and emotional statuses. 展开更多

目的:了解我国新生儿科医师对超早产儿的救治态度。方法:采用横断面调查方式,制定调查问卷后于2021年6~7月通过问卷星app网络分发。调查对象主要为各省市新生儿科医师。调查内容包括参加调查者基本信息,超早产儿救治经验,对超早产儿的... 目的:了解我国新生儿科医师对超早产儿的救治态度。方法:采用横断面调查方式,制定调查问卷后于2021年6~7月通过问卷星app网络分发。调查对象主要为各省市新生儿科医师。调查内容包括参加调查者基本信息,超早产儿救治经验,对超早产儿的救治态度和对我国早产儿定义认同情况等。对所得数据采用描述性统计分析方法或χ^(2)检验进行统计学分析。结果:共收回1066位新生儿科医师的有效问卷。参加调查的医师中,男性322人,女性744人,副高职称以上占78.1%(832/1066),来自三级医院者占82.8%(882/1066),83.0%(885/1066)有过救治超早产儿经历。63.0%(672/1066)的受调查医师认为应积极复苏的超早产儿胎龄下限为25周或更低,57.1%(609/1066)认为我国目前早产儿定义为胎龄28周及以上不合适,75.2%(458/609)认为早产儿定义的胎龄下限应该为≤25周,或不设下限。54.3%(579/1066)医师认为其所在医院超早产儿放弃治疗常见或非常常见,83.3%(888/1066)认为放弃治疗的主要原因为家属担忧预后。71.6%(763/1066)医师曾因是否救治超早产儿而纠结,83.9%(640/763)纠结的原因为对预后没有把握,或担心预后不良引发医疗纠纷。32.7%(349/1066)本人或同事陷入过因超早产儿是否该救治引发的医疗纠纷。74.8%(797/1066)认为超早产儿是否救治应由早产儿父母决定。结论:我国大部分新生儿科医师对超早产儿持积极救治态度,并认为现行早产儿定义的胎龄下限应该调低,但对超早产儿救治的纠结态度仍较为普遍。对预后的不确定仍是关注焦点。 展开更多

Modified TiO2 films have been prepared by combining commercial titania powders (Degussa P25) with sol-gel made by titanium chloride (Ti-sol). The result shows that clusters are formed by nanoparticles and large pores can be seen on the surface of the TiO2 films. The short circuit photocurrent density and photoelectric conversion efficiency of the solar cells are obviously enhanced compared with those without modification. The relationship between the photoelectric conversion efficiency and the amount of Ti-sol was investigated. With the addition of 30 wt% Ti-sol, the photoelectric conversion efficiency as high as 9.75% is achieved, increasing by 28.3% compared with the solar cells without modification. 展开更多

The dynamic population distributions by activity type(e.g.working,shopping or in-home)are vital for resource allocation,urban planning and epidemic containment.Although studies have incorporated individual-level human mobility data to map population distribution by activity type,access to such data is hindered due to privacy issues and they rely on auxiliary data to provide priori activity knowledge.This paper presents a method for generating the population dynamics by activity type.We first introduce more readily available sequential snapshot data to construct the population mixture model,then decompose the population mixture,and finally estimate the dynamic population size for each activity.We test the method in the central districts of Guangzhou city,China,based on real-time Tencent user density data.Correlation analysis and accuracy assessment prove that our method can accurately estimate hourly distributions for populations engaging in working,stay-at-home,and socializing activities.The temporal distribution of the working population reproduces the regular work scenarios and socializing population displays complex spatial patterns.We also find that there is an underlying relationship between a region’s function and its dynamic population structure.The presented method has great potential for application and could provide new insight for studying urban dynamic functions. 展开更多

In this era of pervasive computing, low-resource devices have been deployed in various fields. PRINCE is a lightweight block cipher designed for low latency, and is suitable for pervasive computing applications. In this paper, we propose new circuit structures for PRINCE components by sharing and simplifying logic circuits, to achieve the goal of using a smaller number of logic gates to obtain the same result. Based on the new circuit structures of components and the best sharing among components,we propose three new hardware architectures for PRINCE. The architectures are simulated and synthesized on different programmable gate array devices. The results on Virtex-6 show that compared with existing architectures, the resource consumption of the unrolled, low-cost, and two-cycle architectures is reduced by 73, 119, and 380 slices, respectively. The low-cost architecture costs only 137 slices. The unrolled architecture costs 409 slices and has a throughput of 5.34 Gb/s. To our knowledge, for the hardware implementation of PRINCE, the new low-cost architecture sets new area records, and the new unrolled architecture sets new throughput records. Therefore, the newly proposed architectures are more resource-efficient and suitable for lightweight,latency-critical applications. 展开更多

Attributable to the using of the same spec-trum resources,heterogeneous cellular networks have serious interference problems,which greatly restricts the performance of the network.In this paper,the price-based power allocation for femtocells underlaying a macrocell heterogeneous cellular network is investigated.By ex-ploiting interference pricing mechanism,we formulate the interference management problem as a Stackelberg game and make a joint utility optimization of macrocells and femtocells.Specially,the energy consumption of macrocell users and the transmission rate utility of femtocell users are considered in this utility optimization problem.In the game model,the macrocell base station is regarded as a leader,which coordinates the interference from femtocell users to the macrocell users by pricing the inter-ference.On the other hand,the femtocell base stations are modelled as followers.The femtocell users obtain their power allocation by pricing.After proving the existence of the Stackelberg equilibrium,the non-uniform and uniform pricing schemes are proposed, and distributed interference pricing algorithm is proposed to address uniform interference price problem. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed schemes are effective on interference management and power allocation. 展开更多
