A Study on the Correlation between Salivary Cortisol Content and Anxiety and Depression in Pregnant and Postpartum Women

Objective: To analyze the correlation between salivary cortisol content and anxiety and depression in pregnant and postpartum women. Method: 300 pregnant and postpartum women who were admitted from January 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were all tested with the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). 40 pregnant women with anxiety and depression were selected as the observation group, and 50 normal pregnant women were selected as the control group, adopting logistic regression analysis to investigate the correlation between salivary cortisol and postpartum anxiety and depression during pregnancy. Result: The salivary cortisol levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group before bedtime, after waking up the next day, 15 minutes after waking up, 30 minutes after waking up, 60 minutes after waking up, and 1 hour before lunch (p < 0.05). Maternal depression and anxiety were not related to age, weight, gestational age, negative events, or history of adverse pregnancy and childbirth (p > 0.05). Branch number is an important agronomic trait in peach(Prunus persica)trees because plant architecture affects fruit yield and quality.Although breeders can select varieties with different tree architecture,the biological mechanisms underlying architecture remain largely unclear.In this study,a pillar peach(‘Zhaoshouhong’)and a standard peach(‘Okubo’)were compared.‘Zhaoshouhong’was found to have significantly fewer secondary branches than‘Okubo’.Treatment with the synthetic strigolactone(SL)GR24 decreased branch number.Transcriptome analysis indicated that PpTCP18(a homologous gene of Arabidopsis thaliana BRC1)expression was negatively correlated with strigolactone synthesis gene expression,indicating that PpTCP18 may play an important role in peach branching.Yeast one-hybrid,electrophoretic mobility shift,dual-luciferase assays and PpTCP18-knockdown in peach leaf buds indicated that PpTCP18 could increase expression of PpLBO1,PpMAX1,and PpMAX4.Furthermore,transgenic Arabidopsis plants overexpressing PpTCP18 clearly exhibited reduced primary rosette-leaf branches.Moreover,lncRNA sequencing and transient expression analysis revealed that lncRNA5 targeted PpTCP18,significantly increasing PpTCP18 expression.These results provide insights into the mRNA and lncRNA network in the peach SL signaling pathway and indicate that PpTCP18,a transcription factor downstream of SL signaling,is involved in positive feedback regulation of SL biosynthesis.This role of PpTCP18 may represent a novel mechanism in peach branching regulation.Our study improves current understanding of the mechanisms underlying peach branching and provides theoretical support for genetic improvement of peach tree architecture. 展开更多

Piezocatalysis has attracted unprecedented research interest as a newly emerging catalysis technology.However,the inherent insulating property of ferroelectric materials ultimately leads to the poor vibration-electricity conversion ability.Herein,this work reports the(K_(0.52)Na_(0.48))NbO_(3) ferroelectric ceramics(KNNFCx),for which the FeCo modification strategy is proposed.The substitution of the moderate amount of FeCo(x=0.015)at Nb site not only optimizes ferroelectricity but also produces beneficial defects,notably increasing Rhodamine B water purification efficiency to 95%.The pinning effect of monovalent oxygen vacancies on ferroelectric domains is responsible for the excellent ferroelectric polarization of KNNFC0.015 through the generation of an internal field to promote charge carriers separation and reduce nonradiative recombination.Importantly,the accompanying electron carriers can easily move to the material surface and participate in redox reactions because they have low activation energy.Therefore,ferroelectric polarization and defects play synergetic roles in enhancing piezocatalytic performance. 展开更多

Objective: To discuss the clinical and imaging diagnostic rules of peripheral lung cancer by data mining technique, and to explore new ideas in the diagnosis of peripheral lung cancer, and to obtain early-stage technology and knowledge support of computer-aided detecting(CAD). Methods: 58 cases of peripheral lung cancer confirmed by clinical pathology were collected. The data were imported into the database after the standardization of the clinical and CT findings attributes were identified. The data was studied comparatively based on Association Rules (AR) of the knowledge discovery process and the Rough Set (RS) reduction algorithm and Genetic Algorithm(GA) of the generic data analysis tool (ROSETTA), respectively. Results: The genetic classification algorithm of ROSETTA generates 5 000 or so diagnosis rules. The RS reduction algorithm of Johnson`s Algorithm generates 51 diagnosis rules and the AR algorithm generates 123 diagnosis rules. Three data mining methods basically consider gender, age, cough, location, lobulation sign, shape, ground-glass density attributes as the main basis for the diagnosis of peripheral lung cancer. Conclusion: These diagnosis rules for peripheral lung cancer with three data mining technology is same as clinical diagnostic rules, and these rules also can be used to build the knowledge base of expert system. This study demonstrated the potential values of data mining technology in clinical imaging diagnosis and differential diagnosis. 展开更多

The characteristics of all mixed oxides were tested by XRD, SEM, TEM, and XPS. XRD results showed that all oxides were formed solid solution with CaF2 structure at low temperature and had good thermal stability. More Ce4+ ions were rich on the surface by XPS, which were beneficial to oxygen storage. The particle mediun sizes (d50) of all oxides powders were approximately 10~20 nm by small angle scattering goniometer. When doped Zr4+ in CeO2, the specific surface areas were improved at low or high temperature. The area of Ce0.6Zr0.3La0.04Pr0.06O2 powder had excess 110 m2/g after calcining at 923 K for 4 h, even calcined at 1273 K for 4 h, the area was up to 65 m2/g. 展开更多

In view of the accumulation of nanoplastics(NPs)in the food chain of environment and animals,and the good adsorption properties of nano-plastics to toxic substances,it is necessary to explore the influence of NPs in living organisms.In this study,single and joint toxicological effects of polystyrene nanoplastics(PS-NPs,size 80 nm)and polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs),were explored in freshwater aquatic animal model zebrafish(Danio rerio).Our study found that exposure to single PS-NPs induced mild acute toxicity,albeit the combined exposure of PS-NPs and polychlorinated biphenyls aggravated the toxicity of PCBs in a dose-dependent manner.Results from gene expression profiling showed that NPs exposure could activate detoxification process,resulting in a slight up-regulation of antioxidant genes(sod1,gstp1),bone development genes(bmp2,bmp4)and cardiac gene(tbx20);while PCBs suppressed the detoxification through down-regulation of these genes,and the addition of NPs will exacerbate the impact of PCBs on gene suppression.Importantly,the results of in vivo purification experiments found that NPs showed prolonged retention in liver,intestine and gills of zebrafish and they might have crossed biological barrier and accumulate in lipid-rich tissues and excretion does not appear as the significant pathway for their elimination.In conclusion,the toxic effects of polychlorinated biphenyls on chorionic protected embryos were not significant as zebrafish chorion plays an important role in resisting the invasion of pollutants;PCBs can seriously damage the bone and heart development of zebrafish,while the presence of NPs significantly enhanced the toxicity of PCBs in zebrafish,which is an alarming concern for growing NPs levels and ecological safety in aquatic environment. 展开更多

The measurement of impurity distribution in the divertor region of tokamaks is key to studying edge impurity transport.Therefore,a space-resolved vacuum-ultraviolet(VUV)spectrometer is designed to measure impurity emission in the divertor region on EAST.For good spectral resolution,an eagle-type VUV spectrometer with 1 m long focal length with spherical holograph grating is used in the system.For light collection,a collimating mirror is installed between the EAST plasma and the VUV spectrometer to extend the observing range to cover the upper divertor region.Two types of detectors,i.e.a back-illuminated charge-coupled device detector and a photomultiplier-tube detector,are adopted for the spectral measurement and high-frequency intensity measurement for feedback control,respectively.The angle between the entrance and exit optical axis is fixed at 15°.The detector can be moved along the exit axis to maintain a good focusing position when the wavelength is scanned by rotating the grating.The profile of impurity emissions is projected through the space-resolved slit,which is set horizontally.The spectrometer is equipped with two gratings with 2400 grooves/mm and2160 grooves/mm,respectively.The overall aberration of the system is reduced by accurate detector positioning.As a result,the total spectral broadening can be reduced to about 0.013 nm.The simulated performance of the system is found to satisfy the requirement of measurement of impurity emissions from the divertor area of the EAST tokamak. 展开更多

Objective:To research on consistency of identifying solitary pulmonary masses with CT. Methods:Three observers with different working backgrounds in imaging diagnosis individually interpreted the same group images of solitary pulmonary mass, by 12 indexes of objective signs. The differences in interpretation resulted in ante- and post-interpretations were assessed by the x2 test. The agreement of two interpretations from the same observer was confirmed with the kappa test. A double-blind method was adopted for analysis. Results:The agreement rates of ante- and post-interpreting from the three observers were respectively 82.65%(486/588) 80.27%(472/588) and 84.86% (499/588) while their interpreting results were generally accordant without significant difference(x2 = 4.975, df = 2, P = 0.083) however there was difference between the observer 2 and observer 3(x2 = 4.875, df = 1, P = 0.027). There were five indexes with k > 0.40 of ante- and post-interpreting results of the three observers, including clarity of nodule borderline, presence of sentus, uniformity of density, existence of cavity and calcification in pathological region, among them, the agreement rate of interpreting borderline and cavity was higher(k > 0.07); the blood vessel convergence poorer(0 < k ≤ 0.40); the other six CT signs of interpretation were slightly different. Conclusion:The ability to identify solitary pulmonary mass was inconsistent, and needs to be improved further. 展开更多

Variational quality control of non-Gaussian innovations and its parametric optimizations for the GRAPES m3DVAR system

The magnitude and distribution of observation innovations,which have an important impact on the analyzed accuracy,are critical variables in data assimilation.Variational quality control(VarQC)based on the contaminated Gaussian distribution(CGD)of observation innovations is now widely used in data assimilation,owing to the more reasonable representation of the probability density function of innovations that can sufficiently absorb observations by assigning different weights iteratively.However,the inaccurate parameters prevent VarQC from showing the advantages it should have in the GRAPES(Global/Regional Assimilation and PrEdiction System)m3DVAR system.Consequently,the parameter optimization methods are considerable critical studies to improve VarQC.In this paper,we describe two probable CGDs to include the non-Gaussian distribution of actual observation errors,Gaussian plus flat distribution and Huber norm distribution.The potential optimization methods of the parameters are introduced in detail for different VarQCs.With different parameter configurations,the optimization analysis shows that the Gaussian plus flat distribution and the Huber norm distribution are more consistent with the long-tail distribution of actual innovations compared to the Gaussian distribution.The VarQC’s cost and gradient functions with Huber norm distribution are more reasonable,while the VarQC’s cost function with Gaussian plus flat distribution may converge on different minimums due to its nonconcave properties.The weight functions of two VarQCs gradually decrease with the increase of innovation but show different shapes,and the VarQC with Huber norm distribution shows more elasticity to assimilate the observations with a high contamination rate.Moreover,we reveal a general derivation relationship between the CGDs and VarQCs.A novel schematic interpretation that classifies the assimilated data into three categories in VarQC is presented.They are conducive to the development of a new VarQC method in the future. 展开更多

Coffee is one of the most important agricultural commodities and has the unique organoleptic characteristics such as strong but not bitter taste,fragrant,oily,and fruity.In this study,an untargeted metabolomics approach based on UHPLC-QE-MS was used to investigate the differences in terms of components of precursor metabolites in coffee beans from 18 producing regions worldwide.Fingerprint analysis,principal component analysis and hierarchical clustering analysis revealed a neat separation among coffee beans.Compounds with high relevance to variance in the projection values in supervised multivariate analysis were selected as important metabolites for the discrimination of coffee samples.In total,10 different families of compounds were considered as potential markers of the coffee beans:3-hydroxycoumarin,4,5-di-O-caffeoylquinic,cryptochlorogenic acid,palmitic amide,linoleamide,arachidic acid,petroselinic acid,trehalose,L-glutamic acid,L-malic acid.The findings presented herein serve as a suitable framework for the design of novel discrimination strategies in food origin tracing. 展开更多
