U-Pb zircon geochronology of basaltic pyroclastic rocks from the basement beneath the Xisha Islands in the northwestern South China Sea and its geological significance

As one of the micro-blocks dispersed in the South China Sea(SCS), the basement of the Xisha Islands has rarely been drilled because of the thick overlying Cenozoic sediments, which has led to a confused understanding of the pre-Cenozoic basement of the Xisha Islands. Well CK-1, a kilometer-scale major scientific drill in the Xisha Islands in the northwestern SCS, penetrated thick reefal limestone(0–888.4 m) and the underlying basement rocks(888.4–901.4 m). In this study, we present the zircon U-Pb ages of basement basaltic pyroclastic rocks from Well CK-1 in the Xisha Islands of the northwestern SCS to investigate the basement nature of the Xisha microblock. The basement of Well CK-1 consists of basaltic pyroclastic rocks on the seamount. The zircon grains yielded apparent ages ranging from ca. 2 138.9 Ma to ca. 36 Ma. The old group of zircon grains from Well CK-1 was considered to be inherited zircons. Two Cenozoic zircons gave a weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of(36.3 ± 1.1) Ma,Mean Squared Weighted Deviations(MSWD) = 1.2, which may represent the maximum age of the volcano eruption. The Yanshanian inherited zircons(116.9–105.7 Ma and 146.1–130.2 Ma) from Well CK-1 are consistent with the zircons from Well XK-1, indicating that the basement of Chenhang Island may be similar to that of Well XK-1. We propose that the Xisha micro-block may have developed on a uniform Late Jurassic metamorphic crystalline basement, intruded by Cretaceous granitic magma. 展开更多

Sodium(Na)metal batteries with a high volumetric energy density that can be operated at high rates are highly desirable.However,an uneven Na-ion migration in bulk Na anodes leads to localized deposition/dissolution of sodium during high-rate plating/stripping behaviors,followed by severe dendrite growth and loose stacking.Herein,we engineer the Na hybrid anode with sodiophilic Na_(3)Bi-penetration to develop the abundant phase-boundary ionic transport channels.Compared to intrinsic Na,the reduced adsorption energy and ion-diffusion barrier on Na_(3)Bi ensure even Na^(+)nucleation and rapid Na^(+)migration within the hybrid electrode,leading to uniform deposition and dissolution at high current densities.Furthermore,the bismuthide enables compact Na deposition within the sodiophilic framework during cycling,thus favoring a high volumetric capacity.Consequently,the obtained anode was endowed with a high current density(up to 5 mA∙cm^(−2)),high areal capacity(up to 5 mA∙h∙cm^(−2)),and long-term cycling stability(up to 2800 h at 2 mA∙cm^(−2)). 展开更多

We investigated the role of the Wnt signaling pathway in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury by examining β-catenin and glycogen synthase kinase-3β protein expression in the rat hippocampal CA1 region following acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. Our results demonstrate that cell apoptosis increases in the CA1 region following ischemia/reperfusion. In addition, β-catenin and glycogen synthase kinase-3β protein expression gradually increases, peaking at 48 hours following reperfusion. Dickkopf-1 administration, after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury, results in decreased cell apoptosis, and β-catenin and glycogen synthase kinase-3β expression, in the CA1 region. This suggests that β-catenin and glycogen synthase kinase-3β, both components of the Wnt signaling pathway, participate in cell apoptosis following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. 展开更多

The application of ncRNAs in tissue engineering is starting to attract increasing attention as a means of resolving a large number of unmet healthcare needs, although ncRNA-based approaches have not yet entered clinical practice. In-depth research on the regulation and delivery of ncRNAs may improve their application in tissue engineering.The aim of this review is: to outline essential ncRNAs that are related to tissue engineering for the repair and regeneration of nerve, skin, liver, vascular system, and muscle tissue; to discuss their regulation and delivery; and to anticipate their potential therapeutic applications. 展开更多

电催化CO_(2)还原,可利用太阳能、风能等可再生能源产生的清洁电能驱动CO_(2)在常温常压下绿色高效地转化为甲烷,甲醇、乙烯和乙醇等化学品.其中,多碳产物(C_(2+)产物)因能量密度大、附加值高而备受关注.Cu可以有效吸附中间体CO,促进C-... 电催化CO_(2)还原,可利用太阳能、风能等可再生能源产生的清洁电能驱动CO_(2)在常温常压下绿色高效地转化为甲烷,甲醇、乙烯和乙醇等化学品.其中,多碳产物(C_(2+)产物)因能量密度大、附加值高而备受关注.Cu可以有效吸附中间体CO,促进C-C键偶联,是目前公认的可以有效催化CO_(2)转化为C_(2+)还原产物的金属,但反应涉及多电子转移、质子耦合、路径复杂,加之水相体系中析氢副反应的影响,C_(2+)产物选择性差.本文以CO_(2)还原过程中的四个关键步骤为主线,综述了Cu基催化剂表面结构的改性策略,以提高CO_(2)还原制备C_(2+)产物性能,并深入分析了催化剂表面结构与性能之间的构效关系.(1)抑制析氢:通过有机层修饰及形貌调控对催化剂表面进行疏水改性,抑制H2O传输,同时促进CO_(2)扩散.(2)促进CO_(2)吸附活化:Cu与CO_(2)捕获材料复合,可以有效促进CO_(2)吸附;卤素离子可以提供孤对电子给CO_(2),形成X-C键(X=F^(-),Cl^(-),Br^(-),I^(-)),促进CO_(2)的吸附及活化.(3)调控CO中间体的生成及吸附性能:Cu与CO高选择性催化剂复合构建双功能串联催化剂,可以有效提高催化剂表面CO浓度及覆盖度;催化剂表面增强的局部热-电场效应可促进CO中间体的吸附及耦合;线性吸附的CO和桥式吸附的CO共存,以及低频线性吸附的CO可以有效进行耦合,促进C_(2+)产物生成.(4)促进C-C耦合成键:C-C耦合是生成C_(2+)产物最关键的一步,限域形貌结构,可以有效提高中间产物在催化剂表面的浓度及保留时间,提高C-C耦合几率;氧化物衍生铜、杂原子掺杂和有机分子修饰等可以调控催化剂表面铜物种价态,Cu^(δ+)和Cu^(0)协同,可以促进CO_(2)活化,增强CO中间体吸附,降低C-C耦合能垒;空位、晶界和台阶等缺陷可以改变C1中间体在催化剂表面的吸附性能,降低C-C耦合能垒;Cu单原子催化剂较高的原子利用率以及Cu原子与配位原子协同可有效促进C-C耦合,调节单一C_(2+)产物选择性;异质界面可以改变本征电导率,提高电荷转移速率,调节催化剂表面电子结构,进一步调控对中间体的吸附,促进C-C耦合几率.催化剂表面结构重组、化学态变化、积碳、Fe/Ni等杂质沉积和微量有机杂质吸附等会影响催化反应稳定性.构建Cu-载体相互作用及限域结构,引入缺陷位点、原子掺杂、有机分子修饰和纯化电解质溶液等方法可以有效缓解催化剂失活.此外,本文指出了CO_(2)还原制C_(2+)产物领域未来潜在的研究方向:(1)开发时间及空间分辨的原位谱学技术,结合理论计算研究催化剂的动态变化及中间体的演变过程,揭示催化反应机理,为实现单一C_(2+)产物高选择性,设计高效率及高稳定性催化剂提供理论指导;(2)深入认识催化反应失活机理,设计新型催化剂及反应器,提高整个体系反应稳定性;(3)关注阳极反应,尝试新的氧化反应替代能耗较高的析氧反应;、设计高稳定的阳极反应催化剂;开发化学及机械稳定的离子交换膜,减少CO_(2)向阳极的扩散,提高整体反应能效及经济性等. 展开更多

Photodynamic therapy(PDT)is applied as a robust therapeutic option for tumor,which exhibits some advantages of unique selectivity and irreversible damage to tumor cells.Among which,photosensitizer(PS),appropriate laser irradiation and oxygen(O_(2))are three essential components for PDT,but the hypoxic tumor microenvironment(TME)restricts the O_(2) supply in tumor tissues.Even worse,tumor metastasis and drug resistance frequently happen under hypoxic condition,which further deteriorate the antitumor effect of PDT.To enhance the PDT efficiency,critical attention has been received by relieving tumor hypoxia,and innovative strategies on this topic continue to emerge.Traditionally,the O_(2) supplement strategy is considered as a direct and effective strategy to relieve TME,whereas it is confronted with great challenges for continuous O_(2) supply.Recently,O_(2)-independent PDT provides a brand new strategy to enhance the antitumor efficiency,which can avoid the influence of TME.In addition,PDT can synergize with other antitumor strategies,such as chemotherapy,immunotherapy,photothermal therapy(PTT)and starvation therapy,to remedy the inadequate PDT effect under hypoxia conditions.In this paper,we summarized the latest progresses in the development of innovative strategies to improve PDT efficacy against hypoxic tumor,which were classified into O_(2)-dependent PDT,O_(2)-independent PDT and synergistic therapy.Furthermore,the advantages and deficiencies of various strategies were also discussed to envisage the prospects and challenges in future study. 展开更多

Oxidative therapies receive a limited antitumor efficiency due to the insufficient reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels at focal sites and the evolvement of antioxidant defense systems.Herein,we develop an albumin-based nanomedicine to co-deliver chlorin e6(Ce6)and COH-SR4(CS),which can simultaneously enhance the yield and lethality of intracellular ROS for amplified photodynamic therapy(PDT).In which,CS acts as both an activator of AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK)and an inhibitor of glutathione S-transferases(GSTs).Benefiting from it,the prepared HSA-Ce6@COH-SR4(HCCS)enables positive feed-back uptake by promoting AMPK phosphorylation,leading to rapid and extensive tumor accumulation of drugs.As a result,HCCS obviously increases the ROS production to elevate intracellular oxidative stress.Furthermore,HCCS can inhibit GSTs to disturb the antioxidant defense system of tumor cells,intensifying the oxidative damage of ROS.Ultimately,the PDT of HCCS is significantly strengthened by improving the ROS yield and lethality,which greatly declines the proliferation of breast cancer in vivo.This study may open a window in the development of drug co-delivery system for enhanced oxidative therapy of tumors. 展开更多

It remains unclear whether autophagy affects hippocampal neuronal injury in vascular dementia. In the present study, we investigated the effects of autophagy blockade on hippocampal neuro- nal injury in a rat model of vascular dementia. In model rats, hippocampal CA1 neurons were severely damaged, and expression of the autophagy-related proteins beclin-1, cathepsin B and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 was elevated compared with that in sham-operated animals. These responses were suppressed in animals that received a single intraperitoneal injection of wortmannin, an autophagy inhibitor, prior to model establishment. The present results confirm that autophagy and autophagy-related proteins are involved in the pathological changes of vascular dementia, and that inhibition of autophagy has neuroprotective effects. 展开更多

High-quality and high-resolution precipitation data are the basis for mesoscale numerical weather forecasting,model verification,and hydrological monitoring,which play an important role in meteorological and hydrological disaster prevention and mitigation.In this study,high-density rain gauge data are used to evaluate the fusion accuracy of the China Meteorological Administration Multisource Precipitation Analysis System(CMPAS),and four CMPAS products with different spatial and temporal resolution and different data sources are compared,to derive the applicability of CMPAS.Results show that all the CMPAS products show high accuracy in the Sichuan Basin,followed by Panxi Area and the western Sichuan Plateau.The errors of the four products all rise with the increase in precipitation.CMPAS overestimates precipitation in summer and autumn and underestimates it in spring and winter.Overall,the applicability of these fused data in the Sichuan Basin is quite good.Due to the lack of observations and the influence of the terrain and meteorological conditions,the evaluation of CMPAS in the plateau area needs further analysis. 展开更多

In our retrospective cohort study,we aim to explore whether Azvudine modifies the risk of death in COVID-19 patients.It was conducted on the medical records of patients,consecutively admitted for COVID-19 pneumonia to two hospitals in Chongqing,China.Based on Azvudine treatment exposure,the patients were divided into Azvudine group and non-Azvudine group.We used 1:2 ratio propensity score matching(PSM)in our study to adjust for confounding factors and differences between Azvudine and non-Azvudine groups.There were 1072 patients included in our original cohort.With 1:2 ratio PSM,the Azvudine group included 195 patients and non-Azvudine group included 390 patients.The results showed that Azvudine treatment was associated with improved in-hospital mortality in overall population(OR 0.375,95%CI 0.225-0.623,P<0.001),severe subgroup(OR 0.239,95%CI 0.107-0.535,P=0.001),critical subgroup(OR 0.091,95%CI 0.011-0.769,P=0.028)in matched cohort with univariate analysis.And there was a significantly lower in-hospital mortality in overall population(11%vs.24%,P<0.001),severe sub-group(10%vs.32%,P<0.001)and critical sub-group(5%vs.34%,P=0.017)in matched cohort.These results suggest Azvudine can reduce in-hospital mortality in overall COVID-19 patients,severe,and critical subgroup population. 展开更多

The immunosuppressive phenotype of tumor cells extensively attenuates the immune activation effects of traditional treatments.In this work,a transferrin receptor(TfR)targeted immunostimulant(PTI)is fabricated for photodynamic immunotherapy against metastatic tumors by interrupting β-catenin signal pathway.To synthesize PTI,the photosensitizer conjugated TfR targeting peptide moiety(Palmitic-K(PpIX)-HAIYPRH)is unitized to encapsulate the transcription interrupter of ICG-001.On the one hand,the recognition of PTI and TfR can promote drug delivery into tumor cells to destruct primary tumors through photodynamic therapy and initiate an immunogenic cell death with the release of tumorassociated antigens.On the other hand,PTI will interrupt the binding between b-catenin andcAMP response element-binding protein(CREB),regulating the gene transcription to downregulate programmed death ligand 1(PD-L1)while upregulating CeC motif chemokine ligand 4(CCL4).Furthermore,the elevated CCL4 can recruit the dendritic cells to present tumor-specific antigens and promote T cells activation and infiltration,and the downregulated PD-L1 can avoid the immune evasion of tumor cells and activate systemic anti-tumor immunity to eradicate lung metastasis.This work may inspire the development of antibody antibody-free strategy to activate systemic immune response in consideration of immunosuppressive conditions. 展开更多

This paper presents a system of autonomous intelligent software agents,based on a cognitive architecture,capable of automated instantiation,visualisation and analysis of multifaceted City Information Models in dynamic geospatial knowledge graphs.Design of JPS Agent Framework and Routed Knowledge Graph Access components was required in order to provide backbone infrastructure for an intelligent agent system as well as technology agnostic knowledge graph access enabling automation of multi-domain data interoperability.Development of CityImportAgent,CityExportAgent and DistanceAgent showcased intelligent automation capa-bilities of the Cities Knowledge Graph.The agents successfully created a semantic model of Berlin in LOD 2,compliant with CityGML 2.0 standard and consisting of 419909661 triples described using OntoCityGML.The system of agents also visualised and analysed the model by autonomously tracking interactions with a web interface as well as enriched the model by adding new information to the knowledge graph.This way it was possible to design a geospatial information system able to meet demands imposed by the Industry 4.0 and link it with the other multi-domain knowledge representations of The World Avatar. 展开更多

有报道指出,花色苷对疾病具有一定的化学预防活性.黑果枸杞富含花色苷,具有多种生物活性.本实验前期研究发现,黑果枸杞花色苷Pt3G可通过ROS/PTEN/PI3K/Akt途径抑制前列腺癌DU145细胞的增殖.本研究针对另外2种前列腺癌细胞LNCaP和PC-3进... 有报道指出,花色苷对疾病具有一定的化学预防活性.黑果枸杞富含花色苷,具有多种生物活性.本实验前期研究发现,黑果枸杞花色苷Pt3G可通过ROS/PTEN/PI3K/Akt途径抑制前列腺癌DU145细胞的增殖.本研究针对另外2种前列腺癌细胞LNCaP和PC-3进一步探讨黑果枸杞花色苷Pt3G抑制前列腺癌细胞的作用及其相关机制.采用甲基噻唑基四唑比色法检测细胞增殖、流式细胞术和TdT介导的dUTP缺口末端标记技术(TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling,TUNEL)法检测细胞凋亡以及蛋白印迹法检测相关蛋白的表达.结果表明,Pt3G以浓度依赖性方式抑制细胞增殖,其抑制LNCaP和PC-3细胞的半数抑制浓度分别为601.97和445.79μg/mL.流式细胞术和TUNEL检测发现,Pt3G能够诱导前列腺癌LNCaP和PC-3细胞凋亡,并促进细胞周期阻滞在S期.而且,不同浓度Pt3G处理前列腺癌细胞24 h后,细胞抗凋亡因子PI3K、p-PI3K、Akt、p-Akt的表达水平显著降低,而促凋亡因子Bax、Cytochrome c、caspase 3、cleaved caspase 3的表达显著升高.此外,研究还发现,Pt3G可以激活LNCaP和PC-3细胞的PTEN蛋白并刺激细胞ROS的过量产生来诱导LNCaP和PC-3细胞凋亡.综上,本研究进一步证明了黑果枸杞花色苷Pt3G可能通过ROS/PTEN/PI3K/Akt/caspase 3途径抑制LNCaP和PC-3细胞增殖并促进细胞凋亡.因此,黑果枸杞花色苷Pt3G可能是预防或治疗前列腺癌的一种潜在抗增殖剂. 展开更多

This paper presents a dynamic geospatial knowledge graph as part of The World Avatar project,with an underlying ontology based on CityGML 2.0 for three-dimensional geometrical city objects.We comprehensively evaluated,repaired and refined an existing CityGML ontology to produce an improved version that could pass the necessary tests and complete unit test development.A corresponding data transformation tool,originally designed to work alongside CityGML,was extended.This allowed for the transformation of original data into a form of semantic triples.We compared various scalable technologies for this semantic data storage and chose Blazegraph™as it provided the required geospatial search functionality.We also evaluated scalable hardware data solutions and file systems using the publicly available CityGML 2.0 data of Charlottenburg in Berlin,Germany as a working example.The structural isomorphism of the CityGML schemas and the OntoCityGML Tbox allowed the data to be transformed without loss of information.Efficient geospatial search algorithms allowed us to retrieve building data from any point in a city using coordinates.The use of named graphs and namespaces for data partitioning ensured the system performance stayed well below its capacity limits.This was achieved by evaluating scalable and dedicated data storage hardware capable of hosting expansible file systems,which strengthened the architectural foundations of the target system. 展开更多
